Turpan's Grape Valley truly lives up to its reputation; it's definitely worth a visit! Upon entering Grape Valley, you're immediately enveloped in a refreshing coolness, a stark contrast to the scorching heat of the Flaming Mountains outside—a veritable haven of tranquility in this "land of fire." Everywhere you look, there are layers upon layers of grapevines, like stepping into a green fairytale. The vines are laden with clusters of tempting grapes, including hundreds of varieties such as seedless white, mare's milk, and red grapes, each one intoxicatingly sweet. The seedless white grapes, in particular, are crystal clear, crisp, sweet, and incredibly high in sugar. Here, you can also deeply experience the rich Uyghur culture. The hospitable Uyghur people will invite you to sit under the grapevines, taste freshly picked grapes, and enjoy their captivating song and dance performances. The performers, dressed in vibrant traditional costumes, twirl and leap, showcasing the charm of the Western Regions. The scenic area boasts comprehensive facilities, making it a complete complex integrating dining, accommodation, sightseeing, vacationing, and shopping. And with free admission now, it offers exceptional value. Whether you're coming to taste delicious grapes or experience unique ethnic culture, Grape Valley won't disappoint. I'll definitely come back again next time!

20230723 afternoon: 1. "Dinghai Shenzhen" is located in the 5A scenic spot "Tianshan Tianchi". Tianshan Tianchi is a world-famous alpine lake and a world natural and cultural heritage. It is located at the foot of "Bogda Peak", the highest peak in the eastern part of the Tianshan Mountains in Xinjiang. It was called "Yaochi" in ancient times. In ancient Chinese mythology, it is the place where the Queen Mother bathed. It is 1,980 meters above sea level and has a water surface area of 4.9 square kilometers. It was formed more than 2 million years ago during the Quaternary glacial activity. In history, Genghis Khan, King Mu of Zhou, Sihanouk, Guo Moruo, and Yu Youren have left behind. The scenic area integrates mountains, lakes, forests, waterfalls, and folk culture. It is divided into five major areas: Kazakh Folk Customs Park, Tianchi, Xiaotianchi, Xiwangmu Temple, and Lingshan Temple. ① Address: No. 501, Zhuigaer Road, Fukang City, Changji Hui Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. Private cars cannot enter. The mountain road is very long and you must take a sightseeing bus. ② Transportation: No public transportation, it is easy to park by car. ③ Peak season: summer and autumn. ④ Duration: 1 day. 2. The name of "Tianchi" was first seen in the inscription "Lingshan Tianchi Tong Canal Monument" by Mingliang, the third governor of Urumqi and the nephew-in-law of Emperor Qianlong in the 48th year of Emperor Qianlong's reign (1783). During the Qing Dynasty, sacrifices to "Bogda Mountain" were held once in spring and autumn. The pre-Qin ancient book "Mu Tianzi Zhuan" records that in 989 BC, the fifth monarch of the Western Zhou Dynasty and the first traveler recorded in Chinese classics, King Mu of Zhou, Ji Man, set out from the capital Haojing to travel around the north. He sang with the Queen Mother of the West on the shore of Tianchi Lake and exchanged gifts, so Tianchi is also called Yaochi. There used to be many temples and Taoist temples near Tianchi, but only these three remain: the Temple of the Queen Mother of the West, Fushou Temple, and Lingshan Temple. 3. Dinghai Shenzhen: Located on the north bank of Tianchi Lake, it is one of the "Eight Scenic Spots of Tianchi Lake". It is an ancient elm tree, a hybrid of large-leaf elm and small-leaf elm. According to legend, when the Queen Mother of the West held a peach banquet, the Tianchi water monster was not invited and started to stir up trouble. The Queen Mother of the West subdued it with her own jade hairpin, which later turned into this tree. The altitude of 2,000 meters is not suitable for the growth of elm trees. Every time the water level of Tianchi Lake rises, it happens not to flood this tree, which shows its magical nature. Therefore, its branches are hung with red blessing ribbons.

This attraction is small but has great historical value. Many murals have been cut and stolen by foreigners, and some have been vandalized by local people. It is heartbreaking for the cultural relics. If you like history, you can come and take a look. It only takes half an hour to complete the tour.

The Desert Art Museum is so unique! It is full of exaggerated sculptures made of mud by local artists in Xinjiang, such as giant Buddha statues and weird human faces. It is very photogenic! The place is not big but very novel. It is worth visiting on the way. It is suitable for friends who like curiosity and art~

Together with Tianchi, it is called "Mother and Daughter Pond" (Tianchi is the mother, and the two Xiaotianchi are sisters). There is also a saying that the two Xiaotianchi are the foot basins of the Queen Mother. Xiaotianchi and Tianchi are connected by a quiet cliff path. Walking between the cliffs and canyons is very artistic. This area has: 4. West Xiaotianchi is also called "Qianlongyuan". Because the lake surface resembles a full moon, it is also called "Longtan Biyue". It is one of the eight scenic spots of Tianchi. The water source comes from Tianchi. It is 2 kilometers away from Tianchi on foot. It is 1,600 meters above sea level and has a maximum water depth of 13 meters. Compared with East Xiaotianchi, it is lower in terrain and smaller in pool, so it is also called "Xiaolongtan", "Xiaolongqiu", "Baihetang" and "Yunvtan". The pool reflects the phantom of pine trees. On one side is a small waterfall, forming the landscape "Yutan Yinlian". There is a "Jiantao Pavilion" built on the high ground, which is a good high-level viewing point.

The scenery after a snowfall is quite unique and definitely worth a visit. A tranquil lake lies nestled among the mountains, with clouds drifting around its waist and snow-capped peaks shimmering in the sunlight. The cable car is extremely overpriced; a one-way trip is only 4 minutes, and a round-trip ticket costs a whopping 185 yuan—I've never encountered such a price at a scenic spot I've visited in China.

The Kanerjing source in Jiaoheyi is super interesting! You can see the source of the ancient underground water conservancy project with your own eyes. It's like an adventure to drill a tunnel. It's so cool in the summer that you don't want to come out! There are also post station ruins and grape trellises in the scenic area. It's just right to play for 1 hour. It's niche but worth checking in!

This scenic spot combines science and fun. It's not large, but the scenery is beautiful, especially the section from the museum down to the culvert. The whole area is full of exotic atmosphere. The grape corridor is full of various grapes, and the water at the outlet is icy cold, perfect for summer heat relief.

Finally, we arrived at the legendary Flaming Mountain. Once inside, it looked exactly the same as it did from the outside. It was incredibly hot! But there were plenty of statues and landmarks to take photos with, and the staff were very helpful. It was a delight! Don't forget to try the baked eggs.

This scenic area is a bit small, and I finished it in less than an hour, but it was quite interesting to see the various structures of the Karez. Parking is very convenient, with a large parking lot at the entrance. It is also located in Turpan City, making it easy to drive.
