The room and hotel itself meet my expectations as affordable accommodation. Spacious room, with bathtub in the bathroom, tv is functional, iron and iron board are provided as well. Great stay.

The front liners were friendly and helpful. The stalls selling popular food like char kuey teow are just a few steps away (New Lane). A popular local biscuit outlet is just opposite the hotel for those who want to buy back. Within walking distance, are the iconic Komtar and Gamma. Behind the hotel, one will find the local market. Easy to get Grab services too to places like Kek Lok Si temple.

E&O is our favourite hotel in Penang. Being a local Penangite, we frequently ate at Sarkies and even had our wedding in this hotel 10 years ago. We're back in this hotel for our anniversary, however we were a little disappointed with our stay. The bathtub in our corner suite is extremely dirty and stained. We asked the housekeepers to clean it as we wanted to use it. Worse of all, when we filled the tub with water, to our horror, the water was brown in colour!! Not sure if there is proper maintenance done to ensure the water supply is not tainted. The housekeepers also did not refill the complimentary mini bar items despite stating that our suite includes replenishment of the mini bar items on a daily basis. The surface area and tables were not wiped properly as well when they came to clean the room. We hope the management would seriously look into this matter, especially on the water source and overall cleanliness of the suite / bathroom.

Super good view from the room and delicious breakfast. I enjoyed the night, but this round, I rated 3 for cleanliness because there was tomato on the floor and ants inside the room. I support the idea of being eco-friendly, but housekeeping is important, especially after checkout from previous customers.

We loved staying at this hotel. The staff were very helpful. The surroundings are beautiful and care goes into making everything comfortable and aesthetically pleasing. Excellent service especially the housekeeping. Dining was great and the service was friendly and efficient. We also used the spa which was lovely.
Raia Inn Penang
4.1/5597 Reviews
recently stayed at Raia Inn Penang, and overall, it was a pleasant, budget-friendly experience. If you're looking for a simple, clean, and no-frills place to stay, this hotel ticks all the right boxes. Rooms: The rooms at Raia Inn are clean, functional, and well-maintained. The decor is simple, with modern touches, and the room size is just right for a short stay. The bed was comfortable, with good quality bedding, ensuring a solid night’s sleep. The air conditioning worked well, which is essential in Penang’s hot and humid weather. The bathroom was basic but clean, with hot water available, and the shower pressure was good. Overall, it's a comfortable, straightforward space to relax after a day of sightseeing. Service: The service at Raia Inn Penang was friendly and efficient. Check-in was quick, and the front desk staff was always available to help with any queries. While this isn’t a high-end hotel, the staff made sure everything was running smoothly. Housekeeping kept the room clean, and any additional requests I made (like extra towels) were quickly addressed. Amenities: Raia Inn isn’t packed with a ton of luxury amenities, but it has all the essentials. There’s a small fitness center if you want to get in a workout, though it’s not as expansive as those in larger hotels. Free Wi-Fi was reliable throughout my stay, which is always a plus for both leisure and business travelers. There’s also a small restaurant on-site where you can enjoy breakfast, but if you're looking for more variety, Penang’s vibrant food scene is just a short drive away. The hotel also has free parking, which is handy if you're renting a car to explore the island. Location: Raia Inn Penang is located in a more suburban area, which means it's away from the hustle and bustle of the city center, but it’s still quite accessible. It’s about a 20-minute drive from Georgetown, where you can explore the famous street art, heritage buildings, and fantastic food. The hotel is also close to the Penang International Airport, which makes it very convenient if you’re flying in or out. There are a few local eateries and convenience stores in the area, but if you’re craving more variety, it’s easy to hop in a taxi or grab a ride to the city. Overall: If you're looking for a comfortable and affordable place to stay in Penang without breaking the bank, Raia Inn Penang is a solid choice. It's not a luxury hotel, but it offers good value for the price. The rooms are comfortable, the service is friendly, and the location is convenient for both business and leisure travelers. Perfect for a short stay or as a base to explore Penang.
The Granite Luxury Hotel Penang
4.5/5999 Reviews
I recently stayed at The Granite Luxury Hotel and unfortunately, my experience was far from what I expected from a luxury hotel. Upon arrival, I noticed several issues in my room: - The bathroom light was flickering non-stop, making it uncomfortable to use. - There was visible mold and unidentified stains in the bathroom, which raised serious hygiene concerns. - The clothing rack was rusted and looked like it hadn’t been maintained in years. - Inside the cabinet, I found broken pieces, which was both inconvenient and disappointing. I reported these issues to the front desk late at night. For a hotel that claims to offer luxury accommodations, the lack of cleanliness, maintenance, and responsiveness was unacceptable. I hope the management takes these concerns seriously and improves their standards to ensure a better experience for future guests.
The Light Hotel Penang
4.5/5504 Reviews
My stay at The Light Hotel was an absolute delight! The room was spacious, modern, and immaculately clean, complete with a comfortable bed. The breakfast served at the restaurant was delectable, and the ambiance was enjoyable. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making my stay truly memorable. The hotel’s location was also convenient for exploring the city. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
OZO George Town Penang
4.4/51272 Reviews
Our group of 5 have an extremely delightful 3 nights stay in Ozo Hotel. Location is great, and walkable to many eateries, shops and attractions. Room is modern, well designed, bright and pleasing. While the pillows and quilt are very comfortable, we felt the mattress is both too soft and saggy which affected our sleep. The best part of our stay is surely attributed to their wonderful and friendly staffs like Yin, Ariq (and many others whose names I forgot to ask.) They really go that extra mile to make our day! And don’t forget to try out the delicious and sumptuous breakfast too. Helmed by Chef Aaron, the menu is changed daily so guests are never bored with same food. The sambal chilli and curry puffs are home made and a Must Try! In summary, other than the discomfort with the sunken mattresses, we enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to recommend this hotel.
