First night was terrible. Lobby reception packed with check in customers. Hosted at a room for check in guest with coffee and cakes. Finally got a room at 5pm. Given a room that is opposite the lift, low floor, noisy, facing the entrance carpark which I already remarks that during the booking, I dun take room facing the lift and asking for higher floor, ended at 2nd floor. VERY BAD EXPERIENCE on the first day. 2nd day, Duty officer rearrange to a new upgrade room at level 5 which is accessible to the sky pool. Served a bottle Penfolds wine and cake for us. The new room was fantastic, finally we got the vacation feel back.

Everything is beyond expectation. Did not expect our stays at this hotel this good. The receptionist is helpful. Aircond, heater function well. Only the hallway carpet are bit dented and old but no weird smell. Breakfast or sahur during Ramadhan don't have many variations.

Excellent location with nearby mall, food courts, and supermarts. Cleanliness needs improvement, for example, the towels. Overall good value for money paid.

We had a wonderful time in this hotel, but the room isn't worth the money. For a night at the hotel we paid about 700 rmb, for a room where everything old is expensive... It is absolutely necessary to add a rack in the room to dry clothes, as well as add some furniture, we had no place to put our clothes. But the territory itself is very well maintained. Breakfast was delicious, the staff was pleasant, nice swimming pool, and most importantly the hotel is clean and room cleaning was not bad at all. We lived in a few hotels on Langawi, this one's better than the others.

Great proximity to the airport. Amazing infinity pool, newly renovated compared to the rest of the facility. Kids pool is tastefully done and not gaudy. Somehow they managed to make it aesthetic and to add to the overall vibe which is rare. Pelangi Grill is a pretty good restaurant. Breakfast was really good and dinner service was good as well. Service staff are very attentive. Kiki animal farm was a little underwhelming but the club was quite well stocked with toys. The facility, overall, is showing its age but I personally find the building choice as kampung style charming. The rooms are refurbished more recently but some aspects like grimy and small windows does let down the fact that the rooms should otherwise have a great view. Great resort, overall, and would come again.

We faced many challenges during our 5 day stay: - Breakfast: No Western food for breakfast, only chilli chicken, rice and noodles. Boiled eggs are the only food we can eat, except once it’s finished they don’t fill it up. Two mornings at 8 it was already finished, even though breakfast is until 10am. - Restaurant and room service: Inconsistent working hours. One evening we phoned at 6pm to order dinner, they say no orders after 5pm. The next day we phone for lunch, they say they only open at 5pm! Basically, impossible to order food for lunch and dinner. - Elevator: only 1 working elevator for a big hotel. Nobody is repairing it in the time we stayed here. It takes forever to get the elevator - Dogs next to hotel: There is a yard next to the hotel with many dogs. We counted over 10 dogs. They bark the whole day and night, disrupting sleep. We stayed on the higher floor but it was still disturbing. We turned the aircon and fan on for “white noise” to sleep through the barking, but it woke us every night. The walls and windows are not sound proof. - Noisy: There’s no sound proof walls or floor. Can hear people walking on the floor above us, hear people talk across the corridor. There is also a drain in the bathroom next to the toilet, that is running day and night non-stop. This hotel looks fancy on pictures and is supposed to be one of the best in the town but for 5 days we got weak food and no rest. We will not recommend this hotel at all - keep it searching for a different place.

I had a pleasant stay at Swiss Avenue Hotel. The room was spacious and comfortable, providing plenty of space to relax. The location was excellent, making it easy to access nearby amenities. However, I noticed that the floor could have been cleaner, as there was some dirt. Also, the shampoo provided was quite watery, so it might be worth improving the quality. Additionally, only one lift was in operation, leading to long waiting times, as the other lift was under maintenance. Overall, it was a good experience, and with a few small improvements, it could be even better!

Staff was great, helpful and attentive. Good breakfast and dinner was cheap and tasty. Location is a bit out of the way but we had a rental car and we would’ve been fine with grab as well. Nice pool with seating and there was entertainment on Saturday and Sunday evening. Room was big enough for the two of us, we got a WhatsApp the day before to ask if we wanted a double bed instead of 2 single beds. Only slight downside was the air conditioning which took a while to cool the room down, other than that we had a great stay.

Overall stay was good, in term of location, easy access restaurant and shops, room cleanliness, safety and security systems. However, area need to improve is WiFi connection not so stable during 3 days 2 night stay need to change different username and password for 2 every day. On 2nd day I can't sleep properly due to noisy from another guest room at level 4, door room was bang strongly by another guest when closed the door... The rest good.

Adya Hotel Kuah Langkawi is conveniently located in the heart of Kuah Town, within walking distance of various eateries, duty-free shops selling chocolates and kitchenware, and Langkawi Parade shopping mall for more retail options. The hotel has an Islamic-inspired design, which gives it a unique character. However, the lobby felt warm as the air conditioning didn’t seem to be functioning well. Upon check-in, I noticed the welcome drinks were available, but clean glasses often ran out. The front desk staff were okay—not particularly warm, but efficient. A RM100 deposit was required during check-in, and since I didn’t have MYR, I used SGD50, which was accepted and later refunded in the same currency. The biggest drawback was the air conditioning on Level 4, where my room was located—it wasn’t working, making the hallway stuffy, especially with the lingering smell of fresh paint. The room itself was spacious and generally fine, though one of the lights couldn’t be turned off, which was a minor issue. The provided toiletries were basic, so bringing your own would be a good idea. Additionally, the door latch was faulty, preventing us from double-locking the door. On the plus side, the hotel has a large parking area, which is convenient for those driving. Overall, it’s a decent choice for a short stay, but there’s definitely room for improvement in maintenance and guest experience.

Lovely clean property off the beach but very well located.  Good breakfast spread and lots of activities for the family/ kids during the day and at sundown.  Can eat at the hotel but would suggest try out the restaurants on this stretch. Cactus, the woods, yam yam, houng lou, Maya restaurant were our favourites.  Yuan Spa to the right of the hotel is a boutique Spa that makes up for the lack of a spa at the property.  In all a memorable stay !

I liked practically everything: location near the Chennai Beach, service, very nice and varied breakfast, fast WiFi even on the balcony. All the questions were decided by hotel staff very soon. Air condition in the room worked good. I don’t like 3 things: 1) no shower curtain - everything is constantly in water, no hot water in the tap, 2) there were no chairs and table on the balcony, and the presence of a rooftop does not solve this problem: after a hot day, you want to sit on the balcony, 3) dirty and very tired towels, the quantity of which does not correspond to the level of a 3* hotel. Kindly ask you please to consider the possibility of installing a plastic table and chairs on the balcony - everyone drags a bench from the room or an ironing board out onto the balcony. I also find the beds in the Deluxe rooms very short and uncomfortable. But I would recommend the hotel to my friends and I would come back there myself.

The mood lighting in the room was just right, creating a cozy atmosphere. The gym is not large, and the equipment selection is limited, but it’s decent for a quick workout. The dry sauna was surprisingly spacious, with separate areas for men and women. As for breakfast, the selection was not extensive but sufficient, and the taste met my expectations—I didn’t have a hard time deciding what to eat. The front desk staff were friendly and efficient, making check-in and check-out smooth. While the price felt slightly high compared to hotels in Kuala Lumpur (likely due to school holidays), it was still an economical option considering the service and facilities provided. Overall, a pleasant stay in a convenient location!

The hotel offers a beautiful, mesmerizing view of the paddy fields. The rooms are super clean and cozy, and breakfast includes a delicious variety of foods. Just across the street, there are many stalls offering a wide range of local dishes. Highly recommended!

It is great hotel to stay nearby to the Alor Setar Airport. The rooms are comfortable and neat. Just to add more socket next to the bed then it will be perfect. Psst.. The Juwita Thaifood opposite the hotel provide delicious thaifood.

The staff were incredibly helpful and went out of their way to ensure I had a comfortable stay. My room was spotless and well-maintained, and the food was absolutely delicious. The hotel's central location made it incredibly convenient to explore the city on foot, with easy access to shopping malls and popular tourist attractions. Overall, my experience at Star City Hotel was superb, and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Alor Setar.

I have stayed at this hotel many times whenever visiting Alor Setar. This hotel is always our first choice because it is very clean, and the environment is comfortable. Additionally, its central location makes it convenient to travel to other places.
