Location close to Xining Railway station and 3 km walking distance to the Muslim old quarters where variety fruits, potato snacks, breads, and hand pulled noodles to try. The staff not conversant in English but with google translate on my phone, had no issue conveying my written message. Luv the flexibility of early check in and later check outs that made our stay memorable and highly recommended to tourist to explore Xining and catch the later evening train. Our room tv movie box was not working, no international English channels and strong wind cause ceiling boards to rattle for a while. This small issues to us as we are seldom in the room but outside exploring. Special thanks to staff Ms. Yun Yan for the farewell milk candies gift and delightful fruits basket during our stay. Highly recommended to all to stay here to catch the Xining trains or central Bus stations nearby.

Take a short walk to the busy street behind the hotel which takes about 15 minutes. You may walk towards your left side as you come out from the hotel main door. Turn left again and walk 250m until you reach the traffic light, turn left and walk up the hill until you come to the main busy area. The Dongguan Grand Muslim Mosque is located some where around this area, too. The local people are very friendly and willing to show you the directions. ChaoMan hotel room is clean, spacious and comfortable. We stayed here for two nights. The breakfast provided has a wide range of fried vegetables, fried rice, Chinese buns and pastries. The most welcoming staff made our stay so memorable. Kudos to all of you and I've included their picture in this post. They helped us with our travels to popular sightseeing places and most of all, they got us a reasonable price for transfer to the airport at 65 yuan. Thank you all of you at ChaoMan! We were impressed by the front desk staff n grateful for Celine the manager. She helped us to get transport to go to Qinghai lake. She was able to speak English and make communication easier for us. We had a wonderful and memorable time in Xining. We hope to come back again.

The room itself in the hotel was amazing and especially considering the price we paid. 10/10. There is a small convenience store next door at the bottom, which makes it easy to get essentials. There is a man, I didn't get his name. He was on night shifts at the front desk with glasses and was by far the most helpful hotel receptionist I've ever met. These things make me look back very fondly on my stay at Sanyu.
