Hotel Romantic di Chongqing, China

We wanted to love it. Has potential as the location is central to all the attractions, food and shopping. You can see it all on foot. But the elevator situation makes it frustrating because it’s a shared building with hotels on each floor. You check-in on the 20th floor, our room was on the 19th. Good size, had amenities (toothbrushes, soap etc) but cleanliness could have been better. We only stayed one night because we had to wait 10-15 minutes every time for the elevator and the second issue was the internet. It was non-existent in our room. Your room number is your log-in and you get a password. Our room number wasn’t even a choice in the network. We were told to use the room next door when we asked about it. That didn’t work either. I wfh so I can stay anywhere as long as there is strong WiFi.  So we ended up using my husband’s hotspot. The elevator and internet were the reasons we checked out and went to a neighboring property since we loved the location.

You can’t get a better location with affordable price for accommodation in Jiefangbei than this hotel. It is so convenient as you can find many shops, attractions and metro stations within walking distance. Room was clean and spacious. Our room was cleaned daily. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Chongqing for the first time.

Love this hotel ! Front desk Clark 小雙are wonderful , very willing to help , free laundry, service with dryers, free drinks, with flower tea, and specialty teas. Love this hotel. needed to stay till five before boarding cruise ,They were willing to keep my luggage and have me stay at their Lobby .

Overall stay was great..the staff were polite and willing to help. There is free laundry service too. But do expect a queue. It's only possible if you're not in a rush to get your clothes back. The lift is real slow because of the high level you will be staying at. It's an apartment in a hotel, xinhua international. So might be confusing to find because you wont see S.island's sign outside of the building. the view is good but somehow the vibe of the place can't feel it. But location is sure good with tons of food place. Walking distance from jiefangbei, hongyadong and many more depends how much you can walk. There is many park and running track too.

This was a surprising find! Glenview ITC Plaza Chongqing wasn’t on my radar at first—it was booked by my supplier’s travel agent for the main group. Very nice hotel with great views. Only problem was that you could hear the noise from the other room very loudly and some of the facilities were not very well.

It was a wonderful five-night stay (from 12th March to 17th March 2025). I liked my room which was big and spacious. Upon check-in, Ms. Shan Shan (Kim) gave us a warm welcome. She is very friendly and helpful. I asked her for directions and also about the show 1949. The hotel is very convenient to JFB and other shopping malls. Breakfast is served on the 21st floor; I liked the noodle section and especially the Riverview. Oh, and breakfast is served until 1pm! Light desserts are available from 8pm to 10pm daily. It was so cold during our stay, and the warm desserts were so comforting. Laundry and drying facilities are also on the 21st floor. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Huanman High-Rise Riverview Hotel.

The hotel is located in a building full of other businesses and there doesn’t seem to be a sign outside. The rooms are located very high up and provide an amazing view. The cleanliness could be improved but I have to say the bed sheets provided by the hotel were silky smooth! The staff are absolutely lovely and will help with laundry if needed. The location is okay, a little far from a metro station but not too bad. A great place if you come to Chongqing for the night life as the 9th street that the hotel is located on is very busy and full of people at night drinking and partying. There is also a great place to show down the road with a couple of shopping centres and plenty of food options.

Great location right at Hongyadong attraction.. 15 minutes walk to Jie fang bei pedestrian street and Shi Ba Ti ancient town ( 25 to 30mins). Nearest shopping mall is Raffles City. The staffs are very friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and towels are changed daily.. washing machine plus dryer is located on level 6 with detergent provided. Convenient store and other shops are located just outside the hotel. We reserved our room with balcony and the view was awesome!! 😄😄😄

I want to thank the hotel staff for taking the initiative to send my nephew to the emergency A&E due to food poisoning. I communicated with them on wechat, and they assisted us greatly. The location is not very near to the main shopping street (eg Jie Fang Pedestrian or 18 steps). Though hotel informed me that it is walking distance like 15 mins walk. I mainly Didi to places I wanted to go. Room is huge and comfortable. The good thing is the room has washing machine and washing powder provided.
