There is a house that works there. A older black ladies with grey dreadlocks. I have cout her two or three times trying to come in my room while I got the no disturbing sign on the out side. She never knocks. It's this morning she did it slick. She opened my door gently and seen the lock was on and slightly let it close bbk. A bout a week ago I was there she opened my door but I had it latched. She said something and walk off. My girlfriend came out there and picked me up. When we got bbk my golden clippers where gone, even the charger. I still didn't say nothing to her higher up because they wasn't going to do anything.

This place was great...they moved us to a new room bigger room because ours wasn't ready at no extra cost and we were actually checking in early and didn't charge for that either...lovely staff clean rooms and awesome breakfast...at check in they even give complimentary warm chocolate chip cookies and the were amazing...nice touch💜

We have been stopping at this hotel every year for the last three years. The location is good for us on the way to Florida. However, this time when we stayed there, the continental breakfast was terrible! The gravy was too thick and too salty. The scrambled eggs were watery. The orange juice was nothing but water. The bananas were close to being rotten. The only thing I ate was a bagel with cream cheese. However, on the positive note, the bed was comfortable and I slept good. C Walker 10/12/25

TTamuThe hotel was clean and in a great location for the reason I was in Birmingham. It was near to the event that I was attending. The sink in my room had a stopper that prevented the water from escaping when I did not want it to collect in the sink during activities such as brushing my teeth and washing my face. The water was also cold and took an excessively long time to heat up even a little bit. It was not even lukewarm. Therefore, I checked out and was unable to shower. My son actually took a cold shower on a cold day, one of the coldest that we have had in Alabama in a while. I was also awakened by an emergency message and alarm to vacate the building due to an emergency only to learn later that it was a test. I learned this when the fire truck arrived and I heard an employee apologizing for not calling them to let them know that it was only a test. I only stayed overnight so there was no other opportunity for me to get a better impression. The only reason that I did not give a lower rating for the facilities is because once I reported the issue with the shower and sink, they sent a handy man to the room to make the repairs, but my son was already taking a cold shower at the time since we were scheduled to get back home to meet previously scheduled obligations. The staff person who was checking me out said that she couldn't do anything for me because I booked through a third party. However, she did state that she would refund the money that I paid for parking.

PPengguna AnonimWe wanted to stay in Irondale rather than Birmingham and although this property didn't have great or CURRENT reviews,the description said that it was renovated in 2024 and no other property had a better review. It was indeed updated in some areas and our room was very nicely appointed with new upholstery and modern furniture but it was not clean. There was a layer of dust (construction?) on EVERYTHING and long, dark hairs on the bathroom floor. The window glass was filthy. The freezer was so in need of defrosting that the door would not shut and we were unable to refreeze our flat ice packs. I would guess that no one has stayed in the room since the renovation and the room had not received a post-construction cleaning. The elevator was very dirty,noisy, and a bit scary to ride to the 4th floor. The regular clientele is obviously traveling construction workers. Staff was very friendly but unprofessional.

TTamuThe place really needs to be gutted and rebuilt!! The tub corners were really filthy!! It was like baked in dirt!! Looks like they may need a chisel to remove the dirt stuck to the tub corners!! Thank goodness I always bring my own shower flip flops !! They didn’t even have bath towels just hand towels and one of the wash cloths was not even white anymore ( that really should have been trashed!! ) Thank goodness I also bring my own towels ! The carpet was so stained the room smells horrible!! The elevator was so dirty and dingy!!
And to think they charged me $225 for the night !! It’s good I was just passing through and it was a last minute trip and I didn’t have to stay but less than 12 hours!! I would never go back to that hotel again and unfortunately they make all other hotels that carry the same name look bad!!

TTamuThe hotel is nice. Not as nice as I thought it would be but its clean. The bathroom could use some updates and some new tile grouting around the tub. But not a bad or gross place. The AC was broken. The chillers were up and down, and no matter what I tried the room temp was getting hotter by the min. When I first checked in the room was 70° F. I set the AC at 67 and 20 min later it was 72°. A few others in the hotel told be they had to be moved to a new room. I did not stay they night, I left at 9pm. Too hot and humid.
The staff was amazing and super helpful and understanding. The lady at the front desk deserves a raise. Because the staff was awesome I would consider trying the location again. (After they get the AC fixed)
