I used it for one night before my flight. I think it’s an hotel for that purpose only. Staff are great, rooftop restaurants is great: view and food. Drinks are basic, not a large selection. I had to change room due to a strong humidity smell and the staff was super efficient and I got a new one quite fast. I was impressed by the pedals to access different floors without touching the buttons. The room I got didn’t have a window but for one night it was ok. Swimming pool is in another building next to the main one. A good stay overall. Location really close to a SM city mall.

The pool area was a favorite for the kids, while we appreciated the peaceful ambiance of the lounge. Conveniently located near popular attractions, restaurants, and shopping areas, the hotel made it easy to explore Davao City. Overall, Acacia Hotel Davao delivered a perfect mix of comfort, convenience, and excellent service, making it a top choice for families.

We arrived a bit late on our first night and were accommodated poorly. After a long day of travel, we encountered several issues with our room arrangements. I had booked two rooms, expecting them to be close to each other, but that was not the case. As a family travelling together, we requested to have our rooms swapped to be nearer, yet we were only allowed to add an extra bed. This was not ideal, especially since my mom couldn't stay alone in a room meant for 6 to 8 people, which I had already paid for. When I spoke to the front desk, who I believe was the manager on duty at the time, her tone was unpleasing and lacked empathy for us as guests. It was a disappointing negotiation. We also discussed issues with the internet connection, and she seemed unyielding, suggesting that nothing could be done except to pay for a data plan, for which they would provide a modem. Having stayed at many hotels and being a hotel manager, I can clearly say that our service was inadequate.

I highly recommend the owner address this issue to make it easier for future guests to locate the property. Once we arrived, we were pleasantly surprised by the warm and accommodating staff, who made us feel welcome from the start. The room itself was clean and well-maintained, equipped with essential amenities such as a TV, a hot and cold shower, and a functional air conditioning unit that added to our comfort. The ambiance of the location is also noteworthy—quiet and relaxing, perfect for unwinding after a busy day. Overall, I had a positive experience and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this accommodation to my friends. It’s a great choice for anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient stay.
