liked it more this time than March 21. There was a room with a window. But that's not what matters, but the fact that there was silence. For the first time, upon arrival in Beijing, we checked into the room (I paid for a day), but we stayed there for only 6 hours. So, then the cleaners constantly slammed the neighboring doors all the time, it was very loud and unpleasant. I went out and asked them to be quieter. This time I told the administrator the problem with the cleaners. The administrator promised that there would be silence, he kept his word. The room is compact, but very comfortable. Thank you

A very clean, comfortable, nicely decorated, centrally located hotel. Even though it was located just off the Qianmen shopping street, it was quiet. The front desk staff are friendly and efficient. There are many restaurants nearby, including the famous Beijing roast duck restaurant. It’s also very convenient to order food delivery to the hotel. The soundproofing inside the hotel is a bit weak, so I would recommend asking for a room that is further away from the elevators. Our room was right in front of the elevators, and we could hear guests at 4 AM and 5 AM talking in the hallway as they waited for the elevator. We could also hear guests returning at 10 or 11 pm as they exited the elevator. Overall, a really good hotel. I would definitely stay here again, in a room that is not near the elevators.

Stayed in the tiny room, tbh it was great for a single person, you don’t really need much more if your out all day. The room was cleaned every day and they refilled the water. There are 2 locations, it seems the small rooms are in the second building next door, there is no elevator, so if you have luggage you will need to upgrade to the building with the elevator at an additional cost - I was fine but for people with loads of bags it might be inconvenient. Another thing is the door, the front desk staff at first didn’t give me the additional card for the building door, I can speak Chinese so I demanded one. However there was another traveler who had to come to the main building ever time to get access. Overall great location and friendly staff, just remember to get two cards.

This hotel is very pleasant. The rooms are clean and modern, even if not particularly spacious, and I enjoyed seeing and hearing the robots as they moved around the reception area into the lifts. The breakfast was superb – varied food, and lots of it. The staff were wonderful, although not much English was spoken. The location is great, being at the junction of two subway lines and the Capital Airport Express. The only possible downside was that the aircon didn’t work particularly well in the rooms, although I’m told the weather was unusually warm for the March 2025 days when I stayed. I'm not quite sure where I should provide some comments about travelling around Beijing. It can be quite a culture challenge if, like me, it is your first visit to Beijing, and you do not speak the language. The usual approach for any visitor to a foreign country is to ask staff at your hotel, or to stop passersby, or to consult something like Google Maps. The first two of these are possible, but, in view of the lack of any widespread use of English by the Chinese, the answers provided might not be readily understood by the questioner. This situation is not helped by the fact that the English translations of various Chinese place names can have different spellings, which makes it hard to identify where exactly any particular place is located. In addition, the Beijing subway is vast, and can take a long time to travel around. The interchange between lines can be as much as 10-15 minutes. Yet further, the subway stations themselves are massive, with sometimes as many as six exits. These are also sometimes 10 or 15 minutes walk away from each other. So there is a risk that you could emerge into the open air without really knowing where you are. For info, I attach a March 2025 photo of a plan of the Beijing subway. I suggest visitors get to know this well, taking care that you don't confuse (as happened with me!) one like-sounding station with another. As for online maps, the great Chinese firewall makes it tricky to consult and use the Internet with any great facility. I found that it took a long time to plan any travel around the city. For instance, I wanted to visit the Marco Polo bridge, which in 1937 was the scene of a skirmish, or battle, between the Japanese and the Chinese in 1937. But could I work out how to get to this site? In a word, no. I simply could not establish the route, or how long it would take, or which suburban railway or subway line I should use. So I gave up. I suspect that it would be possible with some form of guided tour but that would need to be planned in advance. I could also have used a taxi, I suppose, except I couldn't get to grips with the ride hailing app Didi. In summary, Beijing is a lovely place. The architecture is amazing. The people are friendly. Hotels are affordable and clean. One feels safe. Food is tasty. The culture and history is, naturally, sensational. I'm very much in favour in fostering good relations between the West and China. But western tourists should suspend your normal approach to sightseeing. Be prepared for internet restrictions, and language issues, to make it a lot harder than usual to get around or visit places. The authorities and the various travel organisations steer you towards organised tours, so maybe the best idea is to buy into this concept. Or perhaps you can get a Chinese buddy to explain things. So my advice is to visit Beijing with an open mind and be prepared to be patient, and play by the rules rather than trying to be too independent.

It's my second stay in this hotel for a long layover in Beijing, the location is just a few minutes from ghe Capital Airport. I'm pretty satisfied with the service, the staff is kind and can speak English, which isn't a common skill for most hotels in China. The pickup and drop-off service is good and easy to find because the van has a logo to recognise it. I also liked the complimentary drinks and fruits.

That was our second stay in the hotel, so I'll just add some updates about our experience here. It's mostly positive again. The room we stayed this time was on the last floor so the view on the skyscrapers of financial district was amazing 🤩 do not hesitate to add personal presences while booking the room, cause hotel managers really pay attention at them. The room was nice and clean again, the only thing that dissatisfied me was the air conditioning. It wasn't working on a heating mode, so we were a bit cold. And if you have long hair like me you'll definitely face some inconvenience of using very very weak hairdryer. The rest is good for reasonable price.

A lovely hotel with amazing service people. Our original booking is with one of the standard room but was upgraded to a better room when the hotel have more vacancy after the second national conference. The first rooms we are assigned are very hot as it is centralised HEATING in the winter months with no cool air setting in that period. After we are upgraded to a windowed room, we simply turned off central heating and left the window open with a crack throughout the day. Location was central to the palace and national museum as well as WangFuJing shopping street. Only down side to the hotel is their daily breakfast. While the spread is reasonable, the taste and service during breakfast left much to be desired. I recommend skipping the hotel breakfast unless you are rushing for time Special shoutout to 想想 Timi for the great service on our stay and checkout day.

Special thanks to Xiao Mei (小梅), who has upgraded my room without extra charges. The hotel is just beside Chong Wen Men MRT and there are a few shopping malls across the road with many restaurants. Room was clean and cosy, with friendly housekeeper.

Amazing hotel, cute little backyard with blooming trees in spring, close to the subway, perfect service, everything is clean and tidy, cleaning every day, everyone is polite and helpful, staff go beyond to make sure you’re happy, complimentary drinks and snacks, laundry room with dryer and iron - free and easy to use, gym, can receive Taobao parcels and food orders; overall I would definitely choose this place again.
