We travelled from Malaysia on our own. Before arrival, the boss/owner of the place had been communicating with me on wechat guiding us how to travel on the public transportation which also save the cost. The owner/boss is excellent. we arrived late around 9pm+. he came to fetch 6 of us personally. he showed us where to go the next day and arrange the local trishaw for us so that we can experience the uniqueness of the town. We also had dinner and breakfast at the guesshouse. I must say, the foods are yummy. Most of us are vegetarian yet they can also cooked delicious vege meal. a must try when staying in wuzhen. Noticed that the guesthouse also received awards from trips because many other guests also comment the same. We definitely will be staying in this guesthouse again should we go back to the town because of the warmth service provided by the boss and the employees.

The hotel is closed to the entrance of Wuzhen Xizha scenic area but not inside. So if you want to stay inside Wuzhen Xizha Scenic area, this hotel is not the option. The ‘river view’ is not the best describe it’s more like a ditch to me.

The location is amazing, there are many shops nearby and the metro station is a short walk away. The cleanliness is okay, it is liveable, but as far as I am aware there weren't many facilities. One of the staff was very rude, she did not even say anything even though I spoke to her in Chinese, she just pounded on the door in the morning to ask for my passport. It wasn't a knock, it sounded like someone was trying to break down my door, which scared the **** out of me. If she has a hearing or speaking disability I would be okay, but I heard her speaking to other people so I'm not sure what was up with that. Room is very small, and there's no closet but they do provide hangers. No water provided in rooms as well so be aware of that. Overall, if you are just staying for a night or two it's fine, I stayed for 3 nights which is a bit too much for a room that size. However, given the cost, I would say it is fair given the location.

Although the facilities are not very new, they are clean. It is highly recommended to bring pets to stay. It is very pet-friendly! The interior design of the B&B is very good, and the style is pleasing. It is only a 2-minute walk from Xiaolianzhuang, which is very convenient for strolling! Since we are foreigners, we couldnt order the chuan chuan sticks and taxi, the owner helped us to place order. Place is super clean, hygienic and quiet. Very nice hotel... well located, inside the walls of the histroic water town, but in a quiet part, away from the hustle of the crowded streets. Room was clean and easily large enough.. with good lighting and private toilet/shower, and daily room service. The buffet breakfast, included in the room price was very good. I speak no mandarin; so I had to communicate with the reception/front desk staff using translate on phones. The front desk staff were wonderful... cheerful, helpful. They went to great lenghts to explain to me how to obtain and buis ticket to Shanghai, where to catch the bus and so on... also the same staff were extremely helpful with day to day questions. The only strange or negative thing is that when shown the room, it looks wonderful as it includes a small private verandah with table and chair. However, there is a fixed wire screen preventing the inhabitant from accessing the room's verandah... kind of strange and certainly a negative

I would like to give special praise to the housekeeper Wu Guoying. From check-in to check-out, her service was warm and thoughtful. She provided meticulous care for the whole family and the experience was perfect! Moreover, the price is affordable and the cost-effectiveness is very high. The courtyard is the private garden of Mr. Zhou Weiguo, the top garden landscape design master in China today. It covers an area of ​​100 acres. It took 12 years and more than 1 billion yuan to transform the dilapidated chemical factory into a beautiful Jiangnan garden. It has only been open to the public for two years.
