Hotel Ramah Hewan Peliharaan di Guangdong, China

Went to the ”wrong” Vienna Hotel after arriving by train. There are a few ”Vienna Hotels” in Zhaoqing. Unfortunately the street address for ”my” Vienna Hotel did not appear in the drop down menu of all the Vienna Hotels in the Didi App. Even the receptionists at the ”wrong” hotel were not able to help me order a Didi on my English version of WeChat. They had to order a Didi using their Chinese version of WeChat. The train trip from Guangxi Province took 90 minutes but finding the right hotel after arriving in Zhaoqinh took longer, 120 minutes. Not having a smiling enthusiastic welcome after arriving at the ”right” Vienna hotel didn't help my mood. This was made worse when I hopped into bed and smelt cigarette smoke. The bathroom is tiny and dated. The breakfast variety was great though! Checked out and moved to another newer hotel after 2 nights.

A really lovely getaway despite being close to the city. You would have never thought that there was a cabin in the mountains in Shenzhen!! Also enjoyed the georgeous view from the restaurant for breakfast which is a must-do. Since we went during the fall, we got to enjoyed the hotsprings although they only opened one pool but there were other people which felt cramme eso we requested to open an other pool. Hope the hotsprings can be more readily prepared next time otherwise the garden was just as beautiful as well.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel — truly one of Guangzhou’s best-kept secrets. It feels almost unbelievable that such a serene and enchanting place exists right in the heart of this modern city. From the moment we arrived, the staff impressed us with their kindness and generosity. Every request was met with genuine warmth, and they went above and beyond to create memorable experiences for us, from a delightful afternoon tea to a fascinating tour of their wine cellar. Our children were thrilled with the pool, while we were captivated by the breathtaking views from the hotel. Every detail contributed to a sense of relaxation and discovery. This hotel is nothing short of magical, and we will most definitely be returning.
