: The Khao Lak Marriott Beach Resort & Spa has beautiful, new facilities and aims for a five-star experience, but the service is still developing. I encountered an issue with the air conditioning, and the staff was dishonest about fixing it, leading to an upgrade only after a significant complaint. The breakfast was very good, and the Italian restaurant deserves compliments to the chef for its excellent food. The bakery is nice, but the staff strangely wouldn't allow me to order a burger from the restaurant next door. It might be a good idea for the General Manager to be more visible, perhaps making an appearance during breakfast, lunch, and dinner to interact with guests and get a better sense of the hotel's operations. While the resort has potential, the inconsistent service and the oddity with the bakery/burger situation need attention to truly live up to its five-star rating.

My family and I stayed at Santhiya for 3 nights! We were amazed with how big this resort was and the many different activities you can do here including paddling, free yoga, and Muay Thai! We loved both the beach and the pool at the top of the resort. The pier is a major plus at this resort as it was beautiful to lap out and watch the sunset! All the staff were very friendly and accommodating! The only downside of this resort is that the rooms were a bit musty and dark since we had garden view rooms. But they did help my parents to relocate room :) While there are multiple restaurants options the menus seem similar and a little overpriced for Thai dishes. There are some cheaper restaurants down the beach that we enjoyed! Overall, we would definitely go back but we would try to get a room that is higher up or facing water. Thank you for the wonderful stay!

Here are the pros and cons of my stay: Pros: 1) Hotel Gahn Khao Lak is located in a prime spot, just a short distance away from the main tourist area. This allows for a peaceful and tranquil stay while still being conveniently close to all the attractions. 2) The hotel itself is a beautiful boutique establishment, with a charming ambiance. From the moment you step into the entrance lobby, you are greeted with antique decorations that add a touch of elegance to the surroundings. 3) One of the highlights of this hotel is the Michelin 2022 and 2023 chef who prepares authentic Nonya cuisines. This is a culinary experience not to be missed, and the restaurant is sure to leave your taste buds satisfied. 4) The hotel is surrounded by many amenities and local food options within walking distance. This makes it convenient for guests to explore and indulge in the local flavors. 5) The breakfast at Hotel Gahn Khao Lak is simple yet delicious. It offers a variety of options to suit different preferences, and it's a great way to start your day on a positive note. 6) On a hot day, the hotel's refreshing little pool is a fantastic spot to take a dip and cool off. It provides a relaxing oasis where you can unwind and enjoy the tropical surroundings. 7) The owner and staff of the hotel are incredibly friendly and welcoming. They go above and beyond to ensure that guests have a pleasant stay and are always ready to assist with any queries or requests. Cons: 1) One issue I encountered during my stay was the presence of lizards and flying pests, especially in rooms with balconies. While this may be a common occurrence in tropical settings, it can be unsettling for some guests. 2) The housekeeping service could use some improvement, particularly in terms of towel change and cleaning of used cups. It would be beneficial if these aspects were given more attention to enhance the overall cleanliness of the rooms. Rating: 8.5/10 In conclusion, Hotel Gahn Khao Lak offers a memorable stay with its good location, beautiful ambiance, authentic cuisine, and friendly staff. While there are a few areas that could be improved upon, the overall experience is highly enjoyable. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a unique and charming getaway in Khao Lak.

i booked this hotel for my birthday but never expected much. As soon as we reached the hotel, we were welcomed with a very friendly lady and served with wet towel and welcoming drinks. We were told that the room we’ve booked was overbooked and they are happily to change it to a new one. The least thing i was expected was, they gave a room with my birthdate as the number. and it was decorated nicely for my birthday. and of course with a complimentary cake and fruits😁 a lot of activities provided by the hotel, or you can just strolling around.. the view was spectacular! As we need to check out early to catch our flight, they packed our breakfast to go. Their service and hospitality is top notch! Highly recommended! and I plan to visit this hotel again for my next birthday!

The hotel is not very new, but it is well maintained. The environment, service, and rooms are all very good. The service details are perfect. The beach outside the hotel is soft and long, and the sunset every day is so beautiful. In addition, the swimming pool and the thoughtful breakfast that can be ordered all day are also plus points. In addition, it was Songkran Festival, and the hotel warmly invited guests to participate in their celebrations, allowing us to spend an unforgettable festival together. Thank you very much. The hotel made me feel refreshed after diving, and we will come back

This was my first time at La Flora but I was amazed by everything the hotel had to offer. Great location, great pools, great amenities but most importantly really great staff. The room cleaning service was also impeccable. The perfect place to relax and enjoy a great holiday. Will definitely be back ❤️

Secondly, the location of B.M.P Resort is exceptionally strategic for those heading to Khao Lak for liveaboard adventures departing from Taplamu Pier. Positioned midway between Phuket International Airport and the bustling Bang Niang Marketstreet, and near Taplamu Pier, it serves as an ideal base for tourists. This central location not only cuts down on travel time but also helps in managing travel expenses effectively, making it an attractive option for budget-conscious divers and sightseers alike. In conclusion, B.M.P Resort offers a practical stay without the hefty price tag. Its strengths in late-night service availability and strategic positioning make it a commendable choice for those in transit or preparing for marine excursions out of Khao Lak. The resort effectively combines simplicity with functionality, providing all the essentials needed for a comfortable and convenient stay.

Our stay at Merlin Khao Lak was pretty great. We had a week there, and sincerely enjoyed the feeling of staying in a contained and nicely taken care of rain forest by the beach. The location was nearly perfect, but the beach itself wasn't very swimmable (beginning of rain season, to be fair). Fortunately, there were other beaches on the same coast that were nicer during the same time of year, so we did get time in the sea water. Even without sea swimming, the ambience from the waves and the sunsets made the beach plenty nice for us at Merlin. There is also a variety of nicepy kept pools to enjoy, though I typically don't enjoy pools personally. Service/food were both nice as well. The staff was pleasant enough, but it did feel weird that an ecologically minded resort had the least meat/dairy alternatives of any of the several resorts/hotels we stayed at. I found ordering curries with no seafood or meat simple though, and they were mostly still good. The massaman curry was a miss, but everything else I tried was quite good for resort food! We really loved the touch of the room's default tv channel being an info channel about the resort's wildlife and maintenance. That, plus the several info booklets allowed us to have a more guided and knowledgeable experience while sightseeing on the exceptional grounds. It was really fun running into others who were also just having a look around and waiting to see a different animal pop up. We enjoyed our stay. Next time we'd likely come back, while also spending some time up the coast a bit.

Mostly good. Hotel transfer good, was waiting for us when we stepped out at the airport. Breakfast very good, because many food items were rotated every morning, and all service staff were always ready to help out, food items were of good quality. Room was big, bathroom huge, room cleaning good, and I was given a nice birthday surprise in the room. Game activities were a little inadéquate, free bicycle usage was a bit short (1 hour). But all in all, quite good. One item was not so good. A Thai Set Menu was advertised at the lobby, and we were looking forward to it. But each night when we stepped into the restaurant for 4 consecutive nights, we were told that the dinner option was not available, but the lobby advertisement made no mention of when it is available

The hotel consists of two buildings. The one closer to the sea is older. The furniture is tired, the room is a bit dark. Across the road - newer. Rooms with access and views of the pool. Everything is fine! Very good breakfasts. The sea is nearby. Several swimming pools. One of the minuses is that very few rooms have stairs to the pool. We did not have. It is inconvenient to get out of the pool, you can slip. The pillows are very high and hard. I never found one that was comfortable for me, although there are four of them. There is very little gel and shampoo in the bath (one small bottle is poured upon request). There is no hair conditioner. One small soap.
