The apartment is conveniently located near the train station, which provides easy access to public transportation. While the surrounding neighborhood is pleasantly quiet, it is still very convenient, with restaurants and other amenities within walking distance. The spacious balcony offers lovely views and is a wonderful feature, allowing you to enjoy the fresh air and scenery. Overall, this is an excellent value and I would highly recommend it based on the location, amenities, and beautiful balcony view.
The hotel is located a bit outside of the city, but there is a free shuttle bus to the train station every hour.
AC/heating cannot be operated in the room as it is operated centrally. Could be bothersome for some people, it didn't bother us. The room was spacious and okay, it's a 80s's style hotel. But we had everything we needed. The breakfast buffet was nice and there were plenty of options of Western and Asian dishes.
Important : the onsen and spa area can only be used by persons without tattoos!! We didn't know as we checked the website and everything prior to our stay and didn't see any information. We only found out when we received information at check in... Check in was easy, we could even check in at 1:45pm.
We are traveling as a family. The location of Hotel No. 2 is very good. It is not far from Takayama Station. We stayed for 5 nights. Although there is no parking space, there is a parking lot next to the hotel. Parking is very convenient. If the parking space is full, you can Park in the large parking lot next to Takayama Station. The room is quite spacious and has a small kitchen with pots and pans which is very considerate. Next time I come to Takayama, I would like to stay again.
The hot spring was very good hot water and it was good that I didn't have to bring a towel from the room.
I thought it would be nice to have a sauna room without a TV and no shelf for personal items such as water and towels.
Perhaps because it was a weekday, the bath was empty and I was able to warm up slowly.
The breakfast venue was also delicious, probably because of the time selection system, and the freshly made tempura and homemade curry were also delicious without jagging.
On the way from Tokyo to Kyoto by car, I specially visited Monet Pond and went to Oyada Shrine⛩️ to see the maple leaves. I chose the Fairfield Inn by Marriott. The hotel is very clean and cost-effective. I recommend it!
The hotel is perfect for self-drive tours I was bringing my parents together and they were very satisfied with this hotel There is a coffee shop across the street his breakfast is good next to local produce available for purchase Overall we liked this hotel if I should want to visit this hotel next time
Because we were going skiing nearby, we chose to use the hotel as a transfer station. Although the front desk did not understand English, they used a translator to explain every sentence. Due to the heavy snow, they also provided us with information about nearby hotels that would be open. The children could play in the snow at the door, which was very fun. There are also hot springs nearby, a 1-minute walk away, with indoor and outdoor
I recently stayed at this hotel and was thoroughly impressed. The service was exceptional, with staff going above and beyond to ensure a comfortable stay. The onsen was a highlight—clean, well-maintained, and incredibly relaxing. The accommodation was spacious, modern, and thoughtfully designed, offering a perfect blend of comfort and style. Highly recommended for those seeking a serene and luxurious experience!
Facilities: Newly decorated, spacious rooms, ironing machines in each room, comfortable beds and pillows
Sanitation: Clean and bright
Environment: Located in the downtown area of Gifu City, the soundproofing is very good, there is a convenience store on the first floor for shopping, and it is next to the Meitetsu station, so it is very convenient to take the train to Central Japan Airport
Service: The front desk lady is warm and thoughtful, and has a good attitude towards Chinese people
The hotel is a bit old but still a lovely place to stay. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The location was a walk away to ogaki station so it is really accessible. We'd love to book this hotel when we return!

Amazing
AAnonymous UserArrived at 12pm and room was ready to check in. But too bad i had to eat lunch and travel around first before checking in so i couldnt enjoy the early check in. Take note no car park onsite, and have to park at the public carparks. But overall the room was well renovated, clean, cosy bed was comfortable and worth the price. Staff was friendly too
AAnonymous UserThis hotel exceeded our expectation! It is very near the Nohi Bus station and the JR Takayama station (3-5 min walk). Although we just stayed overnight, we had a memorable experience in Takayama Ouan. The hotel has a lot of freebies for their guests. They have a booth in the lobby where guests can get free brewed coffee, hot tea, and green lemon iced tea. They also provide free socks since the hotel have tatami flooring. What we also loved about this hotel is the onsen (separate public onsen for male and female, and 3 private onsen). They also have a freezer where guests can get free iced cream after bathing. During past 9 pm, they also have free ramen for their guests. The room is spacious, and the view from our window is also nice (the roads and establishments covered with snow). Aside from the free stuff and great amenities, we also appreciate the kind and friendly staff members. We accidentally lost the luggage claim tag (and we are willing to pay for it) but they didn't charge us anything.
When we go back to Takayama, we will definitely stay here again.
11509Hotel is right beside the Highway/Local Bus Station & Takayama Train Station. Most attractions are within walking distance. The hotel room is spacious, it has a kitchen with the essential appliances, medium size fridge (not those small bar fridge in most hotels), microwave oven, electric cooker, washing machine with dryer. Their check-out time at 11am compared to 10am check-out required by most hotels in Japan.
Highly recommended to stay here when visiting Takayama, especially when travellers using Takayama as a base to explore Shirakawa-go, Tayoma, Narai-Juru, etc.
GGuest UserI recently had the opportunity to stay at an onsen hotel, and I must say, my experience was somewhat disappointing. While the hotel had many appealing features, several aspects fell short of expectations.
Firstly, the hotel's policy requiring guests to walk barefoot or in socks was problematic due to the cleanliness of the floors. The surfaces did not seem well-maintained, which detracted from the overall experience.
I was particularly let down by the private bath. The two only available tubs was filled with bleach, which was concerning and not suitable for relaxation. Additionally, there were no shower facilities provided for rinsing off before or after soaking in the onsen. This made the experience less enjoyable, as I couldn't clean myself immediately before or after enjoying the hot springs.
Furthermore, the reservation system for the private baths was poorly organized. There was no clear queue, leading to confusion and frustration among guests who were waiting their turn.
Overall, the taste of dinner and breakfast was average, but the environment and service was quite good.
Although the hotel offered many attractions and amenities, the execution left much to be desired. Overall, my stay was a case of having high expectations that were not met. I hope the hotel can improve these aspects in the future to provide a better experience for its guests.
雲雲尼王A small hot spring hotel. I really feel the hotel's care. Compared to more prosperous areas, I prefer this kind of remote small hotel. I feel that the hotel wants to do every place carefully. Although the price is cheap, there are many details. Everything is well done. For example, there is a self-service snack and drink area in the lobby, which is available 24 hours a day. Yukata for children is also provided. The hotel rooms are very clean. I wonder if they have been renovated, so the rooms are very new and clean.

Unfortunately, my experience at this hot spring hotel did not meet expectations. The dinner service was particularly lacking. The food had already been set up in the room before we arrived, and the waiter offered minimal assistance, only asking if we had lit the fire. There was no explanation of the dishes, nor was a menu provided. To make matters worse, the necessary cutlery for different courses was repeatedly overlooked, which detracted from the overall dining experience. The food itself was unremarkable and didn’t compare to what other hot spring hotels typically offer.
The private onsen also posed a challenge. The water switch was broken, leaving no way to adjust the temperature or water flow, resulting in water that was uncomfortably hot throughout our stay. Breakfast the next morning was very basic and lacked the variety or creativity I’ve come to expect from similar establishments. Overall, the hotel did not live up to the standards I’ve experienced elsewhere and left much room for improvement.
AAlexwAbsolute gem in Takayama. It was an impulse last min booking hence we arrived and check in late but got a good deal.
We were upgraded to the suite room which is a total surprise. Room was huge! There's living hall on one side, and bedroom on another side.
There aren't many tall buildings in Takayama. Hence, we can look out the window for the whole town scenery. Surrounded by mountain and snowing in the morning, such a lovely stay.
Hotel has public thermal pool on the ground floor free for guests. Breakfast was sufficient but can be long queue.
Overall, it's a good short stay at a lovely hotel.
獨獨木舟Although the hotel is relatively remote, there are dedicated staff to pick you up at the station, so you can book it even if you are not traveling by car. In addition, the service attitude of the staff is very good. The only drawback is that you need to go up and down the stairs, but if you don't have much/light luggage, it is still highly recommended!
