Check-in was a breeze. The room was decent, clean and functional. The toaster and microwave oven with ample cutlery and plates were a pleasant surprise.
Unfortunately we were late checking in and couldn't confirm our breakfast for the following day.Just as well there were the toaster and microwave oven.
Checking out was equally simple and fast.
The hotel seems to be a distance from food outlets though.Best for people who have their own transport. On the plus side,it is quiet and we got a good night's sleep.

The cottage was fantastic. One of the original miners cottages with modern amenities. However the check in staff were a bit testy. I guess everyone has a bad day from time to time.
The first time I lived in this type of B&B was a retro villa with a beautiful yard in front. The landlord was a grandmother named Patty. I could find a restaurant on foot. The overall feeling was very good and recommended.
The location is near the vineyards of the winery, the environment is not bad, the overall is not very big but the layout is very good. There are sheep, goats and chickens and ducks raised by the owner in the Park. The host and aunt are very kind and very nice, the service is very attentive, and the price is very high
The place is very nice and comfortable. The only problem is the wifi. Very poor connection, we couldnt even watch movie on netflix. We just hope they have a better connection, other than that, we enjoyed our stay and the nice view of the river.

GGuest UserGreat location, breakfast in the morning smelt fantastic coming down to reception, lovely pool on the roof. Just don’t forget to pre book parking else you end up in the Wilson parking down the road which is still ok just not ideal.

GGuest UserNo car park attached to hotel, have to drive to car park yourself or pay $55 for a chauffeur to drive it. Room service menu was fancy stuff from the downstairs restaurant. Nothing simple. Not even room service breakfast available. On the note of the restaurant downstairs this is where the “buffet” breakfast was and I use that term loosely. Shocking variety. Even have to do our own coffees right in a tiny corner of the the room. One coffee at a time while the line gets bigger. We have to get a special order for eggs because the scrambled eggs are just mush. At least the toaster worked. And the space fits maybe 20 which is fine for a B&B but not for a 16 floor hotel. We had to have breakfast at 8 to avoid the crowds waiting at 9 and later. In the room itself (we had a suite), there were light switches EVERYWHERE. And they were all so confusing as you couldn’t see what they said. Then the one in the bathroom you had to walk in and close the door to access it. No fan ventilation for showers. Bath mats being so thin gets immediately soaked after one shower. No face washers. Bench was too low for a bathroom. Hand towels way too low. The size of the bathroom was nice though and the shower pressure was good. TV remote didn’t work properly, could not find all amenities like coffee, tea, fridge even etc. No nice hotel guide folder to help us out. The “desk” was the tv cabinet when there was plenty of space in the lounge area to have a desk. Then we had a balcony with no chairs or table to sit at (can easily have some out there and bolt them down for safety). The temperature stuff don’t even get me started. Uncomfy beds and flat pillows. I ended up sleeping on the lounger as it was more comfortable.
I don’t think I’ll be back anytime soon. Wasn’t horrible but wasn’t great. The staff were nice though which was a nice change
YYYHKandMACAUThe location is excellent, right by Glenelg Beach. Supermarkets and restaurants are all within a 5-10 minute walk. Driving to Adelaide city center or the airport takes only 15 to 30 minutes. The hotel also has a casino and a bar where you can enjoy a drink or try your luck. While the hotel shows its age a bit, it's clean and the rooms are spacious enough. Breakfast was just average, with limited food choices, but the view was lovely. The paid parking lot is not in the same building as the hotel; it's across the street, about 30 steps away, so you'll need to carry your luggage over.

GGohHKReview of Stay at Stamford Plaza Adelaide (24–28 August 2025)
The hotel enjoys an excellent location right in Adelaide’s city centre.
The front desk staff made a strong impression, especially Luke and Iris, who went above and beyond during my stay. On 25 August, when I developed a skin allergy, Luke responded swiftly, recommending a nearby clinic and checking in on my condition with genuine care. Iris was equally attentive — she quickly resolved an air-conditioning issue by arranging a room change, and later, when the lifts were out of order, she promptly guided guests to use the staff lift. Their professionalism and kindness were greatly appreciated.
Overall, the hotel would benefit from refurbishment to match the outstanding service provided by its staff.
However, while the service was commendable, the rooms did not meet basic five-star standards. Cleanliness was below expectations, and the shower design caused water to spill into the toilet area. Overall, the hotel would benefit from refurbishment to match the outstanding service provided by its staff.
AAA1213My/ours stay in Adelaide wasn’t as comfortable as I have hoped, especially with the cooling issues. While the location was great for the event I mean to attend with my family, the noisy air conditioning and lack of proper ventilation have been frustrating. It’s good that the hotel staff tried to move us to another room, though it seems like the problem persisted. Hopefully, my next trip to Adelaide or elsewhere goes more smoothly!
