Introduction Pottery Classes in Hanoi

Introduction
Some information may have been translated by Google Translate

Hanoi, as a cultural treasure of Vietnam, invites you to step into an exotic pottery class, appreciate the thousand-year-old pottery heritage in the streets and alleys of the ancient city, and start a folk custom journey on your fingertips.

Classic content: The course duration is generally 2-6 hours, focusing on Hanoi's traditional pottery. The local clay is used, which has a fine and unique texture. Students can learn hand-throwing, painted decoration, and open-air wood-fired kiln firing, which fully demonstrates the ancient charm. Students can take away the Hanoi-style pottery works they made by hand after completing the course to continue their artistic memory.

Class size is small, and teachers are strong: The class size is usually small, and you can get personalized guidance from the teacher, but the atmosphere is warm and harmonious, inspiring unlimited creativity. Most of the ceramic artists who teach are local folk masters, who are well versed in the essence of Hanoi ceramics and have a strong style. They started with a demonstration of real objects and accompanied the students throughout the whole process to ensure that they mastered the traditional skills.

Flexible courses and distinctive facilities: Courses can be arranged at any time. Accompanied by the river breeze and the lights of the ancient city, immerse yourself in pottery creation and experience the slow life in Hanoi. The venue is equipped with multiple production tables, and the pottery-making tools are simple and practical. The wood-fired kiln is built according to the ancient method. Although the firing is slow, it can give the works a unique texture. The electric kiln is also available to meet various needs.

Experiencing pottery courses in Hanoi is not only about learning a skill, but also a reflection of a lifestyle. The pottery courses here allow you to deeply experience the transformation from clay to art, and feel the charm of handcrafts that have been passed down for thousands of years. Come to Hanoi, leave an unforgettable pottery mark, and start a new exploration of art.

Special

This is a very unique sort of a place with the vintage ambience. There is something artistic about it as well as old and photogenic. It was a really nice place, that is sort of hidden from the road so you can't hear the bike or car sounds which was great. The place was cozy and there are some muaic instruments. The music was great too. We went in the afternoon for a while and then went back again in the evening because we liked it so much. It was lot better than places with tourists and noise. We tried their cold brew coffee and passion fruit juice. Both were very nice. #vietnamtrip #hanoi #hiddencafes

Rode a motorcycle for good food

#newyearadventure Tried out a motorcycle food tour when in Ha Noi, and it's definitely a touristy thing to do. Rode as a pillion rider on a motorcycle was really cool as we got to experience how the rider rode and avoided the jaywalkers. Also, we got to try out and enjoy some food that we might never get to try or attempt to try if we were on our own. The experience of the food tour and having rode on a motorcycle was really nice. Besides bringing us to try out the local stalls, be it a shop or by the roadside, the guide made an effort to introduce the history and culture of the city to us. It's definitely an eye-opener for us

TAKE A BREAK

#vietnamtrip Recently, Thanh Cong area has opened many new and beautiful cafes, from the hidden chill vibe to the check-in photo shops with lovely spaces. Take A Break stands out with its popular facade, suitable for OOTD photos. The space inside is quite spacious with quite a few seats, I like the sofa corner closest to the glass door because it is soft, lying down and chatting with friends is also comfortable. I find some other corners a bit narrow and stuffy, I stopped by in the morning and saw the floor was still dirty and had water, probably because the shop is being repaired and completed. I tried peach tea with milk cream but I was not really impressed, I read other reviews and saw that the space is mainly praised but the drinks are not very good. Hopefully the shop will fix it and stabilize the quality of drinks at the shop. Address: 108C3 THANH CONG, BA DINH, HA NOI. VIETNAM

📍Floor 9, 33 Alley 165 Cau Giay, Hanoi ⏰ 16:00-02:00 💸 from 55ca Zero Point is located on the 9th floor with a million-dollar view embracing the city but the price is student-friendly. The shop has indoor and outdoor spaces, if you like cozy privacy, you can sit inside, but if you want to breathe fresh air, you can go outside, it's extremely spacious so no need to flo. If you want a nice seat, remember to book a table in advance. The drink menu is quite diverse and affordable, with both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. You can order from the menu or the bartender will also make it according to the customer's request. Good music, very suitable for a date

Maison Centrale: Echoes of Hanoi

Maison Centrale: Echoes of Hanoi

Maison Centrale, often referred to as the Hanoi Hilton, is a stark reminder of Vietnam's tumultuous history. Situated in the heart of Hanoi, this former prison's imposing walls encase stories of resilience, endurance, and human spirit. Originally established by the French colonialists to house Vietnamese political prisoners, it later became infamous during the Vietnam War as a detention center for American POWs. As you navigate the corridors and cells, the museum meticulously documents the harrowing conditions prisoners endured, making it an emotionally charged experience. Lifelike mannequins, personal artifacts, and detailed accounts give visitors a profound understanding of the prisoners' lives. Particularly poignant is the contrast between the narratives of the colonial era and the Vietnam War, offering a holistic perspective on the prison's role over the years. While the content is undeniably heavy, it is also a testament to the indomitable spirit of those who were incarcerated here. Maison Centrale serves not only as a historical monument but also as a place of reflection, reminding visitors of the high costs of freedom and the importance of understanding and remembering the past. For history enthusiasts and those seeking a deeper insight into Vietnam's narrative, this prison-museum is an essential stop on the Hanoi itinerary. #familytravel #couplestrip #deliciousfood #칼라운지 #Hanoi #Vietnam

Watch the street "Chill" with Tone Gray Cafe 😮 📍 𝟭𝟮𝟲 𝗣𝗵𝗼́ Đ𝘂̛́𝗰 𝗖𝗵𝗶́𝗻𝗵, 𝗕𝗮 Đ𝗶̀𝗻𝗵, 𝗛𝗡 ⏰ 𝟳𝗔𝗠 - 𝟭𝟭𝗣𝗠 💸 𝟐𝟓-𝟓𝟎ca 🌻 In the hustle and bustle of Hanoi, this is a place to stop to both Chill and watch the streets, and be modern. Located right at the intersection of Pho Duc Chinh + Chau Long, 𝐎𝐤 𝐂𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐞 stands out with its gray tones, quite sophisticated and mixed with a bit of Hanoi's cool Kool Ngau. Every small corner is meticulously cared for, taking virtual photos is always a blast. Sitting in front of the porch, chilling and watching the streets, chatting with friends is a delight. Today I tried 3 dishes: peanut butter and almond coffee, banana ice cream coffee and chocolate ice cream. The drink menu is delicious, diverse and trendy, beautifully decorated, and very reasonably priced. The shop has 2 floors with separate spaces, if the 1st floor is an open space with quite chill sidewalk seating corners to watch the traffic, the 2nd floor is a small, pretty closed space with air conditioning for a sufficient working space. Tag the cameraman and come here right away. #historicallandmarks #localguides #goodfoods #foodphotography #coffeeshop #cafe

🌟 Hanoi's Hidden Gem: Hotel du Parc 🌟

🌟 Hanoi's Hidden Gem: Hotel du Parc 🌟

🏨 Nestled in the bustling heart of Hanoi, Hotel du Parc stands as a beacon of comfort for travelers. Once known as the Nikko Hotel, this spot is a hit with Japanese guests, and you'll find a warm welcome awaits you from the professional staff. 🛌 The rooms might have a vintage charm, but they're spotless and cozy. While the 24" LED TV doesn't connect to the internet, the allure of the city might just keep you too busy to miss Netflix. 🍜 Fuel up for your adventures with a breakfast buffet featuring classic Vietnamese pho and made-to-order eggs. After exploring, unwind with a dip in the pool, flex it out in the gym, or sweat it out in the sauna. 📍 With FujiMart just across the street and Hanoi Station a stone's throw away, you're perfectly positioned to dive into the local scene. Just a heads up, some taxi drivers might not recognize the hotel's new name, so keep the address handy: 84 P. Trần Nhân Tông, Nguyễn Du, Hai Bà Trưng, Hanoi, Vietnam. #Hanoi #HanoiHotel #HanoiTravel

LANE8 COFFEE & WORKSPACE

Lane8 is located at the end of a small alley in Phuong Liet, but the parking space is very comfortable. Entering the yard, you will feel familiar like a home garden, with wooden tables and chairs in the old style, each potted plant and flower pot is arranged together, and there is also a separate area for smoking. If you sit outside, you can ask for mosquito spray to use. The space inside is divided into many different small rooms, each room is furnished with high tables and chairs, electrical outlets, and full of light to serve customers who want to come to study/work. The 3rd floor seems to have not been invested in or cared for much, so although there are quite a few tables and chairs, it is quite messy and not unified according to any concept. The staff are all good, polite and support me when needed, which is also a plus, especially for those who come to sit for a long time to study/work, Lane8 is a pretty okay choice. . #songkran2024 #cherryblossom2024 #historicallandmarks #goodfoods #localguides #foodphotography #coffeeshop #cafe

LA POSTE CAFE & BISTRO

Let's open the list of cafes open during Tet is La Poste Cafe & Bistro - the cafe is located right in Phung Hung street, where you can enjoy the cafe view of the train street, which is very chill. Right from outside the door, La Poste has decorated with Tet atmosphere for you to pose for taking pictures of long dresses. The interior space has also attracted the pretty Tet peaches. This Tet, La Poste is open throughout Tet to invite you to visit, the shop is located in the area of Tet Phung Hung street, connected to other famous streets such as Hang L cửam, Hang Ma. Last time I visited a restaurant that had a brunch menu, now when I come back I have a chance to try it. We call the Souffle Pancake and Pesto Pasta. Both portions of brunch are ok, you eat them as soon as they're hot that much better. Besides that, Spring Matcha Oatmilk and Choco Ginger Oatmilk are two new drinks with silky whipped cream, it's suitable for a sweet tooth. #songkran2024 #cherryblossom2024 #historicallandmarks #localguides #goodfoods #foodphotography #coffeeshop #cafe

BOOK IN BAR

Book in bar is a small, quiet cafe, very suitable for studying or working. It was my own big mistake not to know about Book in bar sooner and write a review for everyone so that everyone could have a new place to hide for themselves. Although the space is only one floor, there are many seats, most of the tables and chairs are high tables and chairs, and there are electrical outlets around for guests to conveniently use. Each table is arranged with an additional lamp, providing adequate light for guests but still maintaining a quiet, cozy space. Besides, the shop still has a row of low chairs for customers to chat, but everyone who comes here maintains the common space and speaks very softly, which makes me like it even more. The way to get to the shop is a bit difficult, it's easiest to find using Google Map :3 ☕️ The menu is diverse from coffee to tea, I tried an apple mint tea and a salty roasted rice cream tea. My apple mint tea has a bit of a strong mint flavor, and the tea is also a bit too sweet. If I could reduce these two ingredients, I think the tea would fit better. My friend complimented me on roasted rice tea that it was delicious, light in taste and easy to drink. Before I went there, I saw a story about the shop uploading carot cakes and cinamon rolls, so I was curious to try them out. Unfortunately, the day I visited, the shop didn't have those two cakes huhu :( If anyone has tried them, please review them and let me know, I like them. Very nice carot cake #historicallandmarks #localguides #goodfoods #foodphotography #coffeeshop #bar #cafe

DREAM SI COFFEE

I "took a look" at Dream Si a few months ago, when the shops were having to temporarily stop allowing customers to sit in their seats due to the epidemic, on a corner of Lo Duc street there was a cafe under construction. Dream Si has a very large space with two floors. The space is airy, the ceiling is high, the tables and chairs are properly arranged and the light is always abundant. The first floor focuses on guests coming to drink coffee, chat, and meet with friends/partners, while the second floor is more about study and work space. I went on a weekday morning, from the time the shop opened until about 10am - 10:30am, the shop was quite empty (there were about 2 or 3 customers including me), so I enjoyed studying. The staff also cares about the guests, like when they see me studying, the staff turns the music down, then asks me if the music is right, if it's too loud, etc. - sometimes just a small action. This also makes me more sympathetic to the restaurant. Because the shop is newly opened, mistakes cannot be avoided. If there is anything you are not satisfied with, please give feedback directly to the staff so that the shop can improve in the future. ☕️ I ordered a hot matcha latte served with rice cake (I don't remember the name clearly =))). Matcha Latte's art is quite pretty, but I'm not really satisfied with the flavor because the milk smell is burnt and the sweetness is too much to overwhelm the matcha flavor. The cake is delicious and delicious. #historicallandmarks #localguides #goodfoods #foodphotography #coffeeshop #cafe

Ták coffee

Ták coffee

The cafe has a prominent, impressive design with a “garden” in a relaxing Zen style. Overall, it can be seen that Ták coffee is inspired by Japanese style. Impressed by the space of the shop surrounded by bamboo, gravel roads and a large indoor area with interesting architecture. The shop uses a prominent red tone, a large house frame with a circular structure, and the ceiling above gets smart light through cute cubic glass panels. The concept is interesting with neat interior, soft chairs, many power outlets, and a long table, so it is quite suitable for a “workspace” location. The lighting is beautiful, so taking pictures outside is okay. The menu is diverse with prices ranging from 40-60k, I tried fruit tea, the appearance and quantity are okay. In addition, the shop also has cakes! Search “Ták coffee” on google map for easy finding. The shop is soft opening and officially opens on August 24-25.
