Introduction Peking Opera Performances in Beijing

Introduction
Some information may have been translated by Google Translate
Peking opera performance, as the quintessence of Chinese culture, originated in the late 18th century and integrates various art forms such as singing, reciting, acting and fighting. It uses Erhuang and Xipi as the main vocal styles, and the accompaniment is divided into civil and martial arts. The roles are divided into different roles, such as Sheng, Dan, Jing and Chou, each with its own characteristics. Peking opera stage art focuses on freehand brushwork, and facial makeup is an important element in expressing the character of the role. There are many classic repertoires, such as Jiujiangkou and Taking Tiger Mountain by Strategy, which show a profound cultural heritage. Peking opera is not only a symbol of the traditional culture of the Chinese nation, but also has been included in the list of intangible cultural heritage, highlighting its important status and value.

Playing the Forbidden City in a special forces style!

Playing the Forbidden City in a special forces style!

Stepping into the Forbidden City is like stepping into a huge historical museum, where every brick and tile carries a heavy history. Walking in it, one can't help but sigh at the wisdom and craftsmanship of the ancients. Although this time it was just a cursory glance, I have already been deeply attracted by the charm of the Forbidden City. Every corner has amazing cultural relics and historical sites, and every palace has its unique story and background. Next time I come, I will definitely taste every corner of the Forbidden City, listen to the stories in the explanation machine, and feel the wisdom and talent of the ancients. I think this will be a more memorable travel experience. Every moment in the Forbidden City makes me feel the precipitation of history and the charm of culture. I hope that in future travels, I can understand and feel more of these ancient cultures and histories, and let them become a part of my life.

Is Shichahai really worth visiting?

Is Shichahai really worth visiting?

✨Efficient and not tiring tour of Shichahai (it's best to come around just before noon) Start from the small alley next to the south gate of the Lotus Flower Market, where you can first encounter 'Sanhe Daoxiang Village'. There are several Daoxiang Village shops here, and you can choose to buy specialties as needed Following the path, you can see 'Nanmen Shuanrou'! Remember to get a number first because you can only get a number offline and the waiting time starts from at least an hour and a half After getting the number, continue along the path, cross the small bridge to the opposite bank to find 'Sugar House Coffee'. Here you can enjoy the air conditioning, have a cup of coffee, and enjoy the moment of tranquility. After a short rest, you can go and eat authentic old Beijing instant-boiled mutton. Additionally, the Lotus Flower Market has many interesting cultural and creative shops and photo shoot spots. After eating, it's also great to stroll around the lively market. Wait until the evening sunset to return to Shichahai, find the Yinding Bridge to watch the sunset, and wait for the sea of orange, it's really beautiful! 🎙Introduction: Shichahai is a historical and cultural tourism scenic area and a historical and cultural preservation area in Beijing. Located in the central urban area of Xicheng District, it is the largest and most intact historical district in Beijing. Shichahai includes three bodies of water: Qianhai, Houhai, and Xihai (also known as Jishuitan) and the adjacent areas, echoing the 'Front Sanhai', commonly known as 'Back Sanhai'. Shichahai is also written as 'Shicha Sea'. Since the Qing Dynasty, it has become a place for leisure and summer retreat, and is one of the famous scenic spots in Yanjing 💕Tips: If you want to take a boat tour, there are several ports, but you generally have to queue for a long time, and it's super hot to tour the lake in hot weather, so be prepared for sun protection to prevent heatstroke Many bars in Houhai are traps, don't get tricked To get a good seat at Sugar House Coffee, you need to go early and wait Nanmen Shuanrou serves too much food, so order less

The courtyard is so beautiful.

The courtyard is so beautiful.

✨[First impression] The courtyard is so beautiful. 👍 🙋[To the host] The service is very enthusiastic and thoughtful, responsive, and the problem is solved in a timely manner. The host is a young man who is very humorous and talkative. 💡[Surprise from the homestay] The night view is super beautiful, and the hardware facilities are really top-notch in terms of brand and comfort. 📍[Convenience of the surrounding area] It is very close to Yudushan, and you can see the mountain from the courtyard! 🛏[House facilities I must mention] All first-line brands are really luxurious, with a soaking pool, KTV, professional audio-visual room and a super large swimming pool... The courtyard left a deep impression, and I will definitely come again in the future!

That wall that divides past and future

Visiting the Great Wall of China definitely feels like a milestone. You read so much about this world’s heritage site, that experiencing it feels beyond anything you can dream off. The Badaling section of the Great Wall is the most popular, dates from Ming dynasty and its highest point is 1015m (Beibalou). Yanqing county is located 80km away from Beijing downtown. There are few stores and restaurants in the base of the Wall, Subway can be the easiest option considering you are about to walk for hours. You can reach the summit by walking or taking a cable car. Be prepared for a long walk around the wall, difficulty levels may depend on walk the side you chose to explore. Both ways, scenery is absolutely breathtaking. Even more if you consider you are now part of ancient history and one of the seven wonders of the world. Even more surprisingly, internet there is great. Remember you have to go back over your steps to get down to the wall’s base. Now, the exciting part of leaving is that you get to do it by riding a toboggan!! Of course, the cars could be as fast as the other people in front of you are going, but worth every moment of it. #maydaytrip #urbanexplorer #happylaborday #greatwall #greatwallofchina #beijing #beijingtravel #china #sevenwondersoftheworld #7wonders #archaeology #architecture #badaling #yanqing #beibalou #toboggan #cablecar

Stey-Wangfujing

Stey-Wangfujing Is Beautiful modern design of the room! Has a small kitchen in the room, a fridge with free water and tea. Smart home system is something that was very nice to try out too! Comfy bed, fantastic smell of expensive perfume as soon as you enter the room, good toiletries (if you don’t have a toothbrush, you should tell the staff, they will eagerly provide it but originally you are required to bring your own). Excellent location, right next to the metro station - Dengshikou, literally 5 min walk. The staff is super friendly and helpful! Although it took us quite some time (an hour or more) to register and provide all the green codes since we were traveling still at a “vulnerable” time of covid. The common area is beyond any expectations. Free coffee (amazing one!!) and tea and soda and the space is exceptionally cozy and modern. They have a huge common kitchen with a fridge, an oven (and what not) so you can easily make yourself a yummy breakfast (or even dinner) there. We absolutely loved our stay!! #uniquehotel #templeblessed #eventcelebration #art #easylife #bestislandtraveltowns#themepark#nationalpark#lakes
