Best ever. Amazing service. Great bar too

因為本來想住一個房型， 但明明是空着不讓我住。 服務員三番兩次的開口騙人説我訂的房型已經不滿了（衹能住他們給的房間）， booking和攜程上面都有顯示空房。 絕了。 酒店總體還是ok的， 設計在線， 蘇黎世中心。 早餐一般， 如果沒有帶可以不用。

The Widder Hotel Zurich's Widder Hotel, built on the site of Roman and Celtic ruins, comprises nine medieval houses decorated with 15th-century frescoes. the hotel’s name refers to the “Zum Widder” guild of butchers that has had its home in nearby Widdergasse since 1401. This collection of nine historic houses have been carefully merged to form a boutique hotel of 49 rooms and four apartments. The careful restoration took 10+ years headed by Switzerland’s leading architect . Widder is Swiss German for “ ram “ In one of the houses; where the restaurant AuGust is located ; was the site of the butchers guild in the 1400s . even today , the Widder remains the sheep/ lamb butchers guild ( one of the~26 guilds in Zürich) to the present day There is a small lounge off the reception area; filled with Eames chairs and a remains of a Roman fireplace found during renovation . A wonderful courtyard garden and a bar with 650 whiskys An excellent breakfast is served in the hotel’s two star Michelin restaurant . And even with such an impressive physical plant ; the “software “ —- the outstandingly professional and thoughtful staff is what brings me back ( sixth time I believe) In a town with a number of really great hotels , the entire ‘package ‘ of the Widder : historical charm , centrally located in the heart of the old town , unique tasteful rooms , all the modern amenities, and an outstanding staff puts the Widder at the top of the list .

The Widder Hotel is the best hotel we have ever stayed in. It is a wonderful hotel, located in the heart of the city, which is an excellent location. It is well deserving of its 5 star rating. The Widder made our visit to Zurich perfect. The entire experience was top notch, from the well-designed comfortable room to the gourmet breakfast at the Widder Restaurant and the expertly made cocktails at the Widder Bar. The friendly and gracious staff made us feel welcome. We loved our room and appreciated the windows overlooking Rennweg Street, which allowed us to enjoy the fresh air and see the full moon most nights we stayed there. We would definitely stay at the Widder upon our return to Zurich and would recommend it to any of our friends planning to visit Zurich.

Love the way the hotel is uniquely designed regrouping guild houses and keeping the feeling of multiple houses to make one beautiful hotel. The interior design is brilliant, and the service above expectations. The whole team, whether reception, restaurant, concierge are welcoming and super efficient

Fabulous luxury boutique hotel perfectly located in an Old Town location. Walkable to pretty much everything, a range of Michelin-starred restaurants, and less than a 10-minute walk from Zurich Haupt Banhof. Loads of sights to see, the Fraumunster Church with the Chagall stained glass works is 3 minutes away. The riverwalk area is also close by – a nice stroll on a sunny afternoon. Room 304 – huge and oversized by European standards with a sitting area (love seat, coffee table and easy chair), a full-size working desk, king size bed, bathroom with tub/shower combination and a heated floor; bathrobes and slippers, bar/mini fridge, Nespresso coffee machine, free water and sodas from the mini-bar; in-room safe and large wardrobe/suitcase area. In contrast the cramped apartment we came from in Davos could have fit inside this room with space to spare. All the rooms have their own name and are individually decorated, blending the old building with modern décor elements. Our room had a wooden beamed, hand-painted ceiling. The elevator area shows the original old stones from ancient buildings-an interesting study of the old and the new blended together for style and functionality. The daily breakfast was nice blending hot meal choices ordered from the waiter and then help yourself to the cold buffet with fruit, yogurt, outstanding breads, rolls and pastries, local Swiss charcuterie, and cheeses. I had Eggs Benedict and then Eggs Florentine another morning. There are bakeries, delis and a major grocery store within a few minutes’ walk too. The view from the room (above the front entrance) is the shops and apartment across the street. Very quiet – no hallway noises, and very little street noise as it’s a pedestrian area. The blackout drapes work well – no need to use my eyemask or earplugs here. Taxis and Ubers can drop off/pick up. The staff are the stars of the hotel. My partner fell seriously ill while there and they were kind, compassionate, and connected us with a good clinic around the corner from the Zurich Main Train Station / Zurich HB. Since my traveling companion could eat very little while ill, Room Service heated up Miso soup, instant noodles and plain rice and delivered it to our room. Every day the hotel staff checked in, keeping track of progress. We considered moving to an apartment with a full kitchen to cook special food but preferred to stay at the hotel so if things got worse, the staff knew how to call emergency services if needed, where to go, etc. The medical clinic, Permanence on Limmatstrasse, adjacent to the train station is about a 13-minute walk from the hotel is a marvel of efficiency and Swiss spotlessness – on a walk-in basis he was in the door at 8:AM, bloodwork at 8:10am, saw the first doctor at 8:25am, got test results at 8:40, saw a second doctor there, diagnosis made, and out the door around 9:30am with multiple prescriptions filled at the clinic – all for under US$300. We made multiple trips

perfect hotel- service, staff, room, breakfast. amazing gym. only thing missing was a sauna but loved the hotel so much that it didn't even matter.

We now see why this is the top rated hotel in Zurich. Excellent location. Unique in terms of the style and decor. Excellent concierge desk and front desk staff. We enjoyed the cafe for lunch and the breakfast room is excellent as well. Staff are professional while being friendly and helpful. The bar is quite properly rated the best hotel bar in Europe.

Fantastic hotel in the heart of Zurich. Friendly staff who are always willing to offer assistance. Cleanliness to a high standard both in the room and around the hotel. Rooms are spacious and cosy. Excellent service and we were made to feel at home at this hotel. Thank you!

I liked it, but struggle to believe this is the best hotel in Zurich. The staff is excellent; service is great; location is fantastic. The challenge is that the rooms are all reportedly different, and I didn't particularly like the decor and setup of the room I received. That's an issue because with every room unique, you never know what you're going to get until check-in. My room looked like an ashram: Gandhi would've loved it. The breakfast was slightly disappointing, but the decor in the breakfast room made up for it! Overall it was a nice, but not mind-blowing hotel. Obviously not commensurate to the cost, but since everything in Switzerland is overpriced it's hard to nitpick that. In the US this would cost approximately 50% less and would probably be termed a 4 star hotel.

Geographically ideally situated for businessmen or couples on vacation in Zurich, this hotel has all the features to satisfy international clients: Amenities, courtesy of staff, top bars and restaurants. Only one remark : GPS guidance and access to the hotel can be difficult to follow.
