Really lovely hotel, combination classical & art deco style. High quality comfort & finish. Very good & helpful service for 5 person group private car pickup to family wedding in suburbs (40km). Very good breakfast. Hygiene excellent. Location to centre great ＜ 5 mins. Contact directly for special room requirements - group 5 people.

We arrived on a wet and chilly day so I left my husband in the car out front and ran in to find a valet and help with the bags. There was no one at either desk in the lobby so I waited. While I stood there, three people in an adjacent room were chatting to each other. I waited a bit but no one came so I ran back out to tell my husband the lobby was empty so it may be a minute or two. I came back into the hotel and stood in the lobby waiting, until I realized those three people, who had been watching me this whole time, worked for the hotel, one was the valet and one was the concierge! They just let me stand there like a fool. Our room was not ready yet so we went to the restaurant for lunch but they wouldn't serve us. They said it was because a large group was checking in soon. Now we were starting to feel very unwelcomed. They did upgraded our room but didn't say why. Just that they hoped it would be acceptable. I have no idea what that meant. The room was very nice though.

We were extremely disappointed. The hotel had a 7 hour planned water outage, that they did not disclose ahead of time or at check in.      We checked in, dropped our bags, and went out for a late dinner. Upon returning, we found NO water in the hotel. This was NOT communicated at check in. When we discovered no water, we found a lightly printed note on the coffee bar stating the water outage from 22:30 - 5:00, which was essentially the ONLY time we would be using the room. We understand construction and circumstances beyond the hotels control, but we should have been informed upon check in - that is within the hotels control.  Had we been informed during check in, we would have moved hotels, but at 11:30PM with a 5:30AM departure it was not feasible. At the very least, we would have modified our remaining schedule to shower and clean up before dinner.   The night reception manager, very professional, mentioned that 7 or 8 other rooms were also not informed and unhappy. This was very discouraging because the hotel had every opportunity to inform their guest of the outage but chose to let their guest discover it on their own. We believe the reason it was not mentioned was due to the fact that the hotel did not want their guests to leave the hotel and seek other arrangements. They appear dishonest to us.  We contacted the hotel manager the next day, who was less than helpful (he stood by the way they informed the guests, but offered an upgrade on our next stay, and then became unresponsive after I asked for a 25% partial refund.  This was the only disappointing hotel of our 12 day trip, and we are glad we only had to stay with them one night.   Other helpful feedback: the concierge team is not overly friendly nor do they offer to help with your bags.  The check in process was quite disorganized, and the overall feel of the hotel was overstated in other reviews and depictions of the property.  Do yourself a favor, and choose another property in Zagreb.  We went to the Met Boutique Hotel, Valmarie Restaurant, for dinner that evening and were beyond impressed with their service and atmosphere.  Having seen the other hotel we were considering for our stay, we couldn't have regretted our decision more having chose to stay at Amadria Park Hotel Capital.

Best thing about the hotel is the great location right in the heart of the city. Can walk to anything from the hotel. Room was nice and bathroom was modern. Concierge wasn’t friendly when we arrived. The rooms facing inward have no view so request a room that looks out. Only hotel on our entire Europe trip that didn’t include breakfast and it would have been way too expensive to eat there for what you get. Concierge is positioned away from the door so never anyone there when you walk into the hotel, which was kind of strange. Only one elevator. AC could not be turned lower than 20. No pool. Overall location cannot be beat but potentially better hotels around in the area.

Absolutely fantastic! Amazing staff - very kind and generous. They're happy to be there for all your needs. Ingenious design and very tastefully furnished. Excellent gym where we spent fun time. Very calm and relaxing atmosphere in the middle of the city centre. Excellent location and parking valet service. We'll make sure to visit it again - 10 out of 10!

We followed Rick Steves’ advice and stayed here. What a surprise! Close to the center (2 blocks), quiet, and very affordable. The area is clean and safe. The breakfast buffet was solid Croatian food. Having fresh honeycomb was a delight. Definitely recommended!
