Definitely a hidden gem! A small-scale onsen but everything is great. The F&B part is impressive!

The staff members were all very friendly and welcoming. The hotel overall was very cozy, particularly the onsens. Although all the four onsens were opened for all guests at the hotel, you can use one of them as long as you want because guests are instructed to hang a sign on the onsen to show that it is currently occupied. This is a great way for the guests to enjoy privacy to themselves, although it is opened publicly. Dinner and breakfast was included in the package so we did not have to worry about finding nearby restaurants. The food was delicious here! Would definitely recommend if you enjoy traditional Japanese meals to get the full experience. We had a private barbecue for dinner, and it was truly immaculate! However, there was smoke all over the hotel lobby coming from the barbecue so it would have been better if they kept the windows opened. It was also indoors so it was slightly overwhelming with all the smoke everywhere in the restaurant. But everything else was on point and breakfast was particularly delicious. 

Private onsen were superb and no need to book in advance. Food very satisfying. Staff very friendly and helpful.

This is our second visit to this hotel. Room is very cozy and clean. We enjoyed the onsen a lot. The breakfast and dinner are super yummy. Will definitely be back in the near future!

The best onsen hotel I have ever been to. There is private onsen in room and 4 other onsen outside that can be used when no one here. The environment is tranquility, as if you are in the forest.

This is my second time here. I went to Yufuin in winter and stayed at Yufuno-so. The experience was perfect. When we arrived, it was snowing and the hotel, decorated with white snow, looked like a dreamy fairy tale world. The open-air hot springs here are a must-see. Soaking in the steaming hot spring with snowflakes falling on your shoulders is both cozy and romantic. The kaiseki cuisine served in the restaurant is equally outstanding, with fresh ingredients and fine cooking. Every dish is full of ingenuity, bringing the ultimate enjoyment to your taste buds. I will come again next time!

The location is remote and the transportation is inconvenient. I called the hotel but they didn't answer the phone, so I had to take a taxi. There are not many taxis in Yufuin... It's about 160 yuan... It's like a small house in the countryside, more suitable for older people to drive by themselves. The surrounding area is very desolate and not recommended for children. There are about 7-8 households in the whole yard, with a total of 4 private baths, which need to be used with a sign. The outdoor pool is also outdoors, and it's very windy and cold in winter... Dinner is OK...

The environment is beautiful and the staff's service attitude is very good. They are very attentive, polite and friendly!

It was so so good! There was nothing bad about it~! I accidentally left my passport behind when I checked out, but the staff kindly helped me get it backㅠ I really recommend it~!

The service is perfect, the hot spring is perfect, the meals are perfect, the breakfast is perfect, the dinner is perfect, the Japanese ryokan feeling is so great, the location is a bit out of the way, but it was so good that I can't think of any shortcomings.
