Best location, great drivers. Would pick again next time we go Yuanyang!

The hotel is in a perfect point in the centre of the town very close to the main view point. You can see the terraces from the rooftop drinking a tea without moving from the hotel. It's clean and comfortable. I had an electric blanket that was very useful. The breakfast is good. Jacky the owner can give good advices about what to see and where to go and help for the transportation.

This hotel is highly recommend for the for the quality/price offered. .The room was large and comfortable. The staff were extremely friendly. Especially the owner Jacky who helped us navigate the area with goods detailed plans to make my visit in the region very pleasant .Also the food was delicious.

Jackys Guesthouse is in a very beautiful spot, the views from the rooms are stunning. The room was very clean and comfortable. Jacky has fluent English. was available to help us plan hikes in the area , book rides and was very helpful in everything. Food was great too!! Definitely would go back to his guesthouse.

Great place to stay for Rice Terraces. We stayed at Jackys Guesthouse last night. Had a great lunch and Jacky organized a driver for us to visit the various sites. Would definitely recommend this place😁

Prime location, good food. Jacky is an excellent host, extremely helpful and fluent in English.

Jacky's place offers great views from the rooftop (especially in the morning, if you dont want to walk to the viewpoint) and is frequented by international travellers. Jacky can also provide you 2 trekking routes (he speaks good English), I did the one to Azheke and the nearby sunset viewpoint, it was great.

Highly recommend Jackie's guesthouse. It's a really beautiful location right by the rice paddies, nestled into his village. It was a big plus for us that he is fluent in English, so we could ask him lots of questions and he helped us alot. Thank you Jackie! The area is a bit tricky to explore because they don't seem to do scooter rentals for foreigners. So you have to take these minivan taxi/bus things, which we experienced a lot of unpleasant haggling with. More of a taxi than a bus, at least for tourists. But it sure is beautiful and an interesting culture to get to know.

Jacky is extremely helpful! He gave me excellent tips on a wonderful hike, was attentive, and the restaurant cooked excellent food.  Being able to view the stars in bed and watch sunrise over the rice terraces from the patio is an amazing experience. DouDou the dog and the cat also provide excellent customer service!

One of the best guesthouse we have bien so far in China! There is actually 2 jcky's guesthouse: one is brand new and wonderful and the other is closer to the terraces with an amazing view from its rooftop. Jacky was very kind and explain a lot about Hani culture and his dog was a very good guide 😂. Also Jacky speaks a perfect english so it's very convenient for foreigners. I will come back for sure.

Jacky is a great host. He took us on a wonderful hike trough the ricefields and gave good instructions for a hike to do on our own. I bought some of his postcards which are of his own photo’s, he is a great photographer too. We loved the meals which were prepared by him and his sister. She was very sweet, as was Jacky’s dog.

Fantastic honestay run by englishing speaking owner, Jackie. We had good food from Jackie who cooks well. The homestay is right next to the rice terraces and Jackie gave directions to roam around and immerse into the glorious yellow ripening colours

We spent a really nice time there. Jacky speaks perfect English and is very helpful. He gave us so many advices about trekkings through the rice terraces, local markets and moving around. He really is more than a hotel host, he was a really good guide to know the Hani rice terraces. The room had very nice views of the terraces and the town. The beds were very comfortable. It was difficult to find in the town. Make sure to contact him at the beginning for directions cause the applemaps is not accurate.

Jacky's is the place for me as someone who has very limited understanding of Chinese. Moreover, many of the older villagers can't speak Chinese anyway. Jacky is a native of this place. I chose a very basic room which was sufficient for my needs. He was most helpful with information on photography, himself being a photographer and Hani culture. He arranged arrival and departure for me and helped with luggage. Please be aware that you will be in a very rural and once remote part of the country, so don't expect luxurious surroundings. If you are squirmish about mud, dirt and animal droppings, well, get used to it and enjoy one of the wonders of human effort and creation. If you are a photographer, do yourself a favour and also get a drone. Incomparable and endless views of rice terraces. And yes, Duoduo their dog can take you for a walk down to the terraces.
