Premier Inn York City Centre (Layerthorpe)

Great hotel in the perfect location. Very modern and clean throughout. Super friendly staff. Perfect for a family visit. We only ate breakfast there and used the bar but no issues. Overflow parking about 5 minutes away at the retail park if no hotel parking available. Hotel -£15 for 24 hours Retail Park -£10 for 24 hours Luggage drop available if needed. The best night's sleep ever!

Fairly new hotel in a really good location close to the city centre. Staff very friendly and helpful. Could leave bags in a secure room prior to check in. Was a bit concerned after seeing other reviews regarding breakfast, but we were there for 2 nights in the Easter holidays and didn't have any issues either morning. Although there was not a water dispenser in the foyer the staff were happy to fill up our water bottles. Family room was better laid out than in other Premier Inns. Would definitely stay here again if visiting York, although it is the furthest one from the train station!

Really helpful staff, nothing was too much to ask, my daughter was sick on our journey up, the staff sorted our rooms early and wavered the early check in charge. Room was cleaned during our stay, had everything we needed, food was lovely, all over a comfortable stay in a brilliant location. Thankyou

Lovely weekend away in York. The hotel is in a great location. Got parked up very easily in the hotel car park but we arrived early. Breakfast was fantastic. I would say, though, such like the parking. If you arrive late, the spaces are gone. We walked out of the restaurant at 10.30 and the queue was very long. Our room was very clean and spacious enough for our family to have a base. Would recommend and will stay again.

We enjoyed our stay at the Premier Inn. It was clean and comfortable and near the town centre. We were on the top floor and our room was quiet. The staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. The breakfast all seemed freshly prepared and was enjoyable. Plenty of choices. Our only disappointment was the coffee machine in our room. It was unusable due to the mugs supplied. We did mention this to reception in the hopes of being supplied with the right size cups. But unfortunately none were forthcoming.

Despite the hotel being a little pricey for the weekend, it was made worth it by the staff and amenities. Natalie looked after us and was very warm and welcoming. The location is great and just a short walk from lots of bars and restaurants. Thank you ☺️
