My Place Suites

From the outside, My Place Suites looks like a motel from the 1950s on Route 66. However, inside the rooms are great. We had the suite with the kitchen. This gave us a separate bedroom. While we ended up doing no cooking, everything was there if we wanted to. The bed is HUGE and comfortable. Bathroom is fine. The whole suite was very clean; absolutely zero dust and this town is a bit dusty. I wish I remember the hosts name. Really nice kid who made sure we got in okay, knew how to work the shower, etc. The only thing that is a slight challenge is the small parking lot. With cowboys staying at the hotel, everyone has a truck or something big. We ended up in the evening just parking on the street right next to the hotel. Zero problems with that. If you require 3-4 types of Himalayan pink bath salt, this is not your motel - just drive on down to Phoenix. If you want just a good, basic comfortable place to stay, this is a perfect place for you. Wickenburg itself is a slightly strange town. Friendly folks, interesting old town, etc, but a lot of the town seems to shut down at 3pm and several of the diners we wanted to try were closed on Wednesday and Thursday. About an eight minute walk from My Place is Buttermilk & Honey Bakery. Well worth a visit. They open at 7am and sell out quickly - and a course, this being Wickenburg, shuts at 3pm.

Room was like a small studio apartment. Room was clean. Pool was nice. Walking distance to downtown. Seth the desk attendant was helpful with towels and things. He gave me a ride to the dealership to pickup my Jeep after repairs needed. THANKS SETH!!

Without question the best hotel experience we’ve ever had. And that’s saying something from a couple who have spent hundreds and hundreds of nights in various hotels around the world. Clean, unique, imaginative, and a hundred other superlatives. 100% recommended for all travelers. Just say there, you will know what I’m talking about.

I'm always a bit wary of boutique hotels since you never know what it will be like, but this hotel is a GEM. (Tripadvisor reviews were so positive we decided to try it.) The grounds are beautiful and peaceful. The bed was very comfortable, and the room is thoughtfully appointed. It is not one long building like most hotels, but a series of smaller units, which made it very quiet and homey. Last but not least, Seth at the front desk could not have been nicer or more helpful! We got there late and it was dark. Since it's not a straight path he actually walked us to our room and made sure we got in okay. (it's very easy to find once you've seen it in daylight.)

The exterior was lovely, but our room was very dirty. Many of the 5 star reviews are 2-7 years old. My 4 attempts to contact management were not responded to. There's a picture online of a very nice looking bathroom, too bad they don't all look that way.

We look for boutique hotels when we travel and My Place did not disappoint. The suite had everything we needed. Kitchenette was a plus. Comfortable bed. Great Wickenburg location. We really loved it here.
