Hotel Bergsonne Rigi

The most unfriendly place in the world. Had to wait 20min for the check in and were ignored throughout our stay. Very child-unfriendly. We were threatened to pay 100chf extra for our kids which slept in our bed. Horrible place to stay! Pascal is extremely unprofessional and was lying to us. After a day of long hiking when we came in the evening to the restaurant the guy told us that we didn't have a reservation and that there is no ice-cream for our kids available. He complained then about our crying kid that he is too loud and disturbing guests.

Our first day of vacation in Switzerland was spent at Hotel Bergsonne, and it truly set the bar high for hospitality and comfort. The hosts, Andre and Pascal, were incredibly generous and welcoming. It was fascinating to learn that they both live in Mt Rigi, a place with only around 100 residents. Their diverse backgrounds and fluency in multiple languages made us feel at ease, whether we were Swiss or foreign tourists.We did hear that there was new ownership, but nothing concerning that we noticed as this was our first stay here. While many people choose to make a day trip from Rigi to Lucerne, we highly recommend staying at Hotel Bergsonne instead. The unmatched breakfast and hospitality alone make it worth it. Our room was cozy, immaculate, and offered a breathtaking view of the lake. The cabin-like atmosphere added to our enjoyment, and we are already looking forward to returning in the future. Greeted warmly by Pascal, we are shown into our quaint, authentic and warm room, with a spectacular view. The hotel is remarkably located over the sprawling Lake Luzern. Breathtaking hikes (both easy and advanced) are literally right outside of your door. A personal breakfast, an honor-system refrigerator and super relaxed atmosphere make this gem a return-destination for sure. -Jonathan and Verena

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour à l’Hotel Rigi Bergsonne. Une vue à couper le souffle dans un établissement récemment rénové. Propreté irréprochable. Pascal est un hôte charmant, très disponible et serviable. Petit-déjeuner complet (pain, tresse, charcuterie, œufs à la coque, fromage…). Nous recommandons vivement ce lieu magique au Rigi!

Au vue du prix pour une chambre standard pour 2 nuits CHF 451, on pourrait vraiment s’attendre à une autre prestation. Globalement, on a expérimenté une certaine désorganisation au sein de cet hôtel : personne ne répond à un appel téléphonique, les restaurants conseillés pour le souper le soir étaient fermés, le nettoyage de la chambre après la 1ère nuit avait soit disant été oublié, personne présente à 9h00 le matin pour le petit-déjeuner avec tables pas mises, pas de pain/croissants, pas de fromage, pas de viande, pas de yaourt, quasiment rien… Tout à coup une personne est apparue avec un PC portable à la main bien plus préoccupé par celui-ci que sa clientèle,… Chambre sans télévision, douche sommaire, lavabo dans la chambre, … Bref une offre beaucoup trop chère… Point positif pour terminer: un panorama splendide.

Von der Bahnstation Rigi-Kaltbad geht’s fünf Minuten bergauf. Unser Gepäck wurde vom sympathischen und äusserst hilfsbereiten Gastgeber abgeholt. Von aussen sieht das Haus etwas ältlich aus, aber drinnen ist es hübsch renoviert. Unser Zimmer war heimelig und gemütlich mit viel Holz und hochwertigen Materialien. Gut isolierte Fenster, Angenehme Heizung. Bequemes Bett. Eine grosse private Terrasse mit einer phänomenalen Sicht hinunter auf den Vierwaldstättersee und das eindrückliche Bergpanorama. Am Morgen hatten wir die ersten Sonnenstrahlen und am Abend die letzten in dieser Gegend. Das Restaurant ist nur für Hotelgäste gegen Anmeldung am Abend geöffnet, Getränke sind unkompliziert ganztägig in Selbstbedienung verfügbar. Wir schätzten das vorzügliche liebevoll arrangierte Menü am Valentinstag. Das Frühstück war reichhaltig und tadellos. Wir genossen unseren Aufenthalt sehr. Ruhe und Erholung pur. Vielen Dank an das ganze Team für die vorbildliche Gastfreundschaft.

L'hôtel n'est plus très jeune et est actuellement en rénovation donc l'intérieur et la chambre manque de finitions mais cet hôtel a sans doute la plus belle vue de Rigi Kaltbad vu sa position (environ 7-8 minutes de montée depuis la gare donc éviter les valises lourdes et sans roulettes). La chambre que nous occupions (n°25) était spacieuse et lumineuse. Le style était "en cours de rénovation" également (lit, plancher, mur sont neufs, mais les portes, plafond et mobilier sont encore dans leur jus) donc le contraste était bizarre mais aucunement gênant. L'accueil est sans doute le + de cet hôtel, Pascal est toujours souriant, toujours un petit mot agréable et n'est pas avare de bons conseils sur les bains ou les restaurants. L'accès à l'entrée principale située à l'arrière du bâtiment n'est pas très evidente et n'est pas éclairée la nuit. Attention toutefois lors de votre réservation, car Rigi Kaltbad est accessible uniquement en train à crémaillère ou en télécabine (rabais de 50% sur le prix du trajet si vous montrez la réservation à la caisse) En résumé, une belle expérience et une magnifique vue malgré l'hôtel "en travaux"

Das Hotel ist sehr empfehlenswert. Klein & fein, mit viel Charme und gutem Spirit. Die Renovationsarbeiten sind noch nicht ganz abgeschlossen, was unseren Aufenthalt aber in keinster Weise beeinträchtigte. Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen und fühlten uns wie zu Hause. Pascal (der Manager) weiss was es heisst, Gäste zu bewirten und war bei allen Anliegen sehr hilfsbereit. Es ist alles noch etwas im Aufbau, da das Hotel neu übernommen wurde. Wir sind sehr gespannt, wie sich das Hotel entwickelt und ob sie alle ihre Ideen umsetzen können und wünschen ihnen auf diesem Weg alles Gute und gutes Gelingen. Bei unserem nächsten Besuch auf der Rigi werden wir bestimmt wieder in der Bergsonne übernachten.
