Review Update: Hotel management reached out and apologized for the negative experience I had. They also offered a solution for the late check-out issue. Based on the response, I changed the ‘One Star’ rating to a ‘Three Star’. Also changed the title to more accurately reflect the experience. Review Summary: Check-in: It took multiple requests to get the required room. Amenities were not available as advertised. Breakfast: I waited 15 min, but no order was taken, nor coffee served – so l left. Note: there were two (2) servers and four (4) guests in total. Check-out: They did not honor a verbally confirmed late checkout. The extra charge was put on the wrong credit card (major issue because company vs private). Only after multiple demands was the charge reversed. Full Disclosure: I’m a frequent user of Best Western hotels and a Platinum member. Read on if you want more details. My 2nd time at this hotel for business functions (large groups). Two years ago, we all laughed the professionalism off as growing pains for a new hotel. But it got worth. Hotel is defiantly in a good location with walking distance to different restaurants and stores. Free parking is provided. The rooms are new with standard times like in-room coffee and fridge. My room was clean, but housekeeping needed to be requested because of staff shortage (another hint of poor management). The gym was large but had no water dispenser and shabby and limited equipment. It was supposed to open at 6:00 but I had to ask a staff member to unlock it (and 6:00 for a business hotel when business travels normally leave around 7:00???). Breakfast opens at 7:00 – again, how should that work for a business traveler. And the disaster in service was outlined above. Called front desk and asked if I could check-out a day earlier and in the afternoon as my work wrapped up already. This request was verbally confirmed (Maybe there is a reason why no email address for this hotel is on the Best Western website nor on Goggle – you will not get things in writing). When I tried to check-out, I was told that they will NOT honor their verbal commitment because of booking and so on. I understand that these last-minute requests can not always be accommodated but then don’t say you will. Of course, at that time and based on the verbal agreement, I already made other travel changes.

Stayed for one night and was mostly impressed with the room. The bathroom was especially nice with the automatic sensor for the lighting and fan a wonderful feature. We had a full kitchen which we hardly used but it looked to be "top drawer". However, the one negative is the tv in the bedroom, while massive encroached on the area at the end of the bed. This made it a challenge to navigate past it and could be a real challenge for some Seniors or person with any difficulty with mobility.

The hotel is in a great location, but the attention to room detail requires improvement. I checked into a room with the blinds off the wall and no soap or supplies in the bathroom. I was upgraded to a larger room, but this room had a 1/2 used container of body lotion, and the shower's wall-mounted soap dispensers had two different brands, two shampoos, and no body wash. The four pillows on the bed were not placed neatly. Is no one doing room inspections?

Bring your own pots and pans and toaster if you plan to use the kitchenettes. Everything else is great. Apperntly I didn't have enough letters in my review, you need 200, so I typed this extra sentence.

Average hotel in a fair location beside the highway. For the middle of summer I would expect it to be packed (not) and they would save rooms with a view like mine for latecomers nor people who reserved ahead. I do have 2 friendly pigeons that come by to check on me every night, I have the roof of the covered entrance as my view . Bit of a nightmare with my reservation, don’t book a corporate trip over the weekend they split you into 3 reservations-before weekend, weekend and after weekend, corporate rate not available on weekends. So I have to check in every couple days. It is clean, good housekeeping service, pool, hot tub and gym are all nice.

Everything about Best Western PREMIER is fantastic! From the amazing guest service agents, beautiful lobby complete with a fantastic lounge with the most welcoming vibes and immaculate rooms! We stayed at the BWP Vernon twice while traveling through Vernon for a backcountry ski tip SOL Mtn. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the rooms are very clean and comfortable, and the location very convenient - close to restaurants, shopping, and the road to Silverstar Ski Resort and Sovereign Lake Nordic Club. Will definitely stay here again without hesitation. Great stay - thanks!
