Hotel Palazzo Stern

The entire A to Z experience was remarkable. We were in desperate need of some down time and even though we only stayed for a couple of days, it was a spectacular visit, the friendliest and most helpful staff. God willing, we will be back and look forward to our next visit.

Wow what a place! Old world charm and great location combined. Tougher walk then expected with luggage from th bus station but we got there. Room was just what we wanted/needed. Location was close to all the sites. They offered a free boat to Murano but it involves. Required factory tour— we did it and had no complaints as the boat ride was amazing! Check in was easy and the staff was very accommodating!

Amazing week yet again at the Palazzo. We visit Venice on an annual pilgrimage and wouldn't consider staying anywhere else. The location is spectacular, the rooms superb and the staff the best. Looking forward to next year already! We strongly recommend this hotel (though not too strongly just in case it gets too busy!).

Beautiful Hotel. Great Location. Spectacular service. Nice local restaurants around. Super nice rooms. Water Bus stop right at the hotel. If you go to venice… check this hotel. Our experience was very nice and would consider to stay again.

Wonderful hotel - nice rooms, very helpful and knowledgeable staff, and a great location (just next to a Vaparetto stop, and also close to some lovely bars and restaurants). Whenever we needed a recommendation for how to get somewhere, or a restaurant in a specific area, the front desk staff had great recommendations. I will be returning!

We arrived late in the evening due to a plane delay. It was foggy and quiet kind of a neat beginning for our time in Venice. The hotel Stern has many positives that I appreciated from the pre planning to the actual stay. (Travel Group 4 adults one child 2 Rooms) 1. Communication is key for me and is essential for a successful travel day. I emailed the the hotel for many reasons, transfer to the hotel, a trip to Murano, even simple tourists questions and each email was answered very positively and quickly. I appreciated how knowledgable and professional each engagement was either in email or in person. 2. Location is perfect outside of a vaporetto station, near shopping, best quiet gondola ride ever, restaurants, and the beautiful back canals. The hotel's location is not located in heavy tourists locations so you can retreat back to the quietness and beauty of the Grand Canal and this amazing hotel. 3. The size of the hotel truly lends itself to a very comforting landing after a long day on the canals, coming in from a train or plane ride. With a full service bar and very welcoming lounge you can find yourself relaxing for a mid day break or a nice dinner by the Grand Canal. 4. Rooms are CLEAN and come with a piece of chocolate and nice review of the days weather ahead. 5. Breakfast is OUTSTANDING-The best we have had on our European travels. It is made fresh to your order. You do not have to stand in lines at a buffet while people hover over their decision to create their plate. This breakfast is ordered and brought fresh to your table and it is very, very, good. 6. For Kids- Our 12 yr old really enjoyed the hotel, she liked having space in her own area of the room and liked how close the hotel was to the Grand Canal. In Conclusion; If you are looking for a hotel that is guest friendly, pays very close attention to your specific needs, with clean spacious rooms than look no further than the Stern. With a great breakfast and super friendly staff this is truly a gift on the Grand Canal. O by the way if the airline loses your luggage the hotel will work with the airport to assist you and let me tell you miracles do happen.

The location is very good. The room was not big but had everything that we needed. Warm bath after long walks were amazing! Room service was exceptional. All our wishes were fulfilled. We have just suggested this hotel to our friends and hope to come back again too!

The hotel is really welcoming and beautiful, full of Murano objects and lights and ancient things. The room is elegant, the breakfast very varied and also very good for gluten-free costumers. The people who work there are really kind and helpful. I will come back during Biennale.
