Ulasan VELA be Bangkok Ratchathewi

I have a previous review with more photos of the room so won’t be adding them again. Just adding photos of the outside area by the pool. The hotel is clean. But there are these small flying bugs in the room. And for those who are sensitive to smell, book somewhere else. For those who aren’t you won’t be bothered. It smells like damp wet areas/pipes. I got back from shopping in the afternoon and the ac had stopped working. Called for help, waited in the room for 10-15 minutes but it was too hot so I went to the reception. The problem was fixed within 30 minutes. And the staff was really apologetic about this. Also housekeeping knocked on the door at 10. And I asked them to come back later. Came back from shopping after 15, and the room hadn’t been made so called and asked for them to make up room because my towels were dirty and I had no more toilet paper. Waited in the room for 20 minutes and housekeeping came. And then I went to reception to wait and returned to the room after 30 minutes and the room had been made. They don’t change the sheets after one night. The pool is just a huge jacuzzi. Located outside the entrance where cars pulls in. The photos here are of the seats next to the pool. If you want to sunbathe and play in the pool. Book another place. You won’t enjoy this area. Seven eleven outside the hotel. Lots of cheap massage places. Didn’t try so can’t say more about that. Hotel is located at the very end of an alley. The walk to bts station is 10 minutes. So I ended up taking muvmi everyday. Cost 31-52 bath depending on if you’re going to paragon or central world. Pickup/drop off location at the entrance of the hotel. Very convenient.

Clean hotel not suitable for those who are sensitive to smells. Can take Muvmi or grab to your sightseeing destinations. Takes 10 min walk to bts station and that road to bts is very hard to walk if you have a peak or a lot of luggage. Also you would be soaking wet by the time you’re by the bts station. Lots of local food stands and massage places in that alley. Don’t book this hotel for the pool. It’s just a big jacuzzi. No sunbeds. Seven eleven outside. Also really close to the malls Mbk/siam center/paragon.

A cheaper no frills and amenities VELA hotel at Ratchathewi Bangkok. The only plus point was the excellent Front office and housekeeping crew who keeps the room and hotel spock and span.

Strategic location. Walk roughly 8 minute can reach BTS Ratchathewi, 1 stop away from Phaya Thai and Siam station (*There are a lot of 7-11, super convenient) The room is super clean. The crew will clean room every single day (*If not mistaken they will clean every single room in daily basis hence can keep your staff in safe box) The sound insulation is slightly poor. But is not affecting much Overall is a pleasure experience. Highly recommend!

The hotel was good, clean, and the bed was very comfortable. On the second day, they forgot to vacuum the floor. The breakfast could be improved, missing a good coffee and sausages have a weird smell. The location is in the interior of a neighborhood with difficult access but the BTS station is 500 meters away (about 8-10 minutes walking). Staff was always polite. Recommended.

The hotel is in good condition and located in the city center. That’s all the good news. The rooms are small. The pool is a big bathtub in the parking lot NO soundproof at all in the rooms We asked for the quieter room possible, far from the elevator and in the upper floor. We got a room in the third floor (second because ground they call first), not far from the elevator and definitely not quiet, but this looks impossible, as the building cannot be rebuild to make the rooms quiet.

The staff is very friendly, and the place is fairly clean. The location close to bts, and there are good stalls and massage places around. But the noise is way too loud, we can hear everything in the hall, people with their suitcases, closing doors, our sleep kept getting interrupted, I would not recommend staying here if you need your 8hour sleep.

Had worst experience at this hotel. Not worth the money at all. Better hotels are available in this price range. Their twin room was like a box with windows which does not open. It was suffocating, when we requested hotel to open the windows they simply denied.Staff was not supportive at all Swimming pool is very small. It is not at all like it’s shown in the pictures Locality is not good, it was located somewhere in narrow alley. Don’t provide even kettle/ coffee/ tea sachet in rooms in this price. Towels were torn and quite old

Street is not that great, but located close to 7/11 and train station. Clean and friendly staff. Good service

Receptionist is very accomodating. Location is good. Overall I am satisfied👌
