Ulasan Van der Valk Hotel Utrecht

I booked this hotel for work without researching it I was expecting a normal basic hotel as it wasn't particularly expensive. As I walked in through the door I said "wow" it really was a stunning entrance. Check in was very smooth and I was soon on my way into the lift with the captivating animation showing the lift elevating up to the top of Utrecht. My room was absolutely massive, almost absurdly so. The bed was very comfortable and looked gorgeous. I will say though that the room was SO big it looked a little sparse. The small chairs in the corner could have been a sofa that would have been a nice touch. The bathroom had a whirlpool bath in it AND a walk in shower AND a separate toilet. I went up to the pool on the roof which also had a jacuzzi in it and fantastic views over the surrounding area as well as a steam room and sauna. The hotel does seem a bit out of the way but once you realise that it is very close to a tram stop you can get to and from the centre of Utrecht very easily. I rented a bike from the hotel in the end to get to the office I was visiting this was very convenient too. I don't have many negatives but breakfast whilst good didn't have that much variety. I could see me getting quite tired of what was on offer after a few days. The breakfast is far below what you might get in a hotel like a Radisson (in fairness it was only $15 euros) There is nothing wrong with was was there but just not enough choice. I didn't eat any other meals at the hotel since I wanted to get out into Utrecht in the evenings but their menu looked excellent and not trying it is a regret. I would 100% stay here again, as far as city hotels go. all round, this is probably the best hotel I have ever stayed at.
