Urumqi Xixing Hotel (International Bazaar Branch)

This hotel is located just few minutes walk to Grand Bazaar and train station. The front desk staff and manager showed professional and attentive service. However for a hotel that had just been renovated, there are so many failures. The TV only had one channel, the water in the sink wouldn't drain out. The floor and window was extremely dirty. It really didn't meet a 3 star quality hotel.

Hotel staff is nice and friendly. Receptionist are helpful and willing to assist when I asked for directions. Location is superb. Just right next to attraction grand bazaar Dabazha scenic spot. The underground metro station line 1 (they only have 1 underground metro. It does not connect to any other attractions nor the Wulumuqi railway station) was just a short walk away. Hotel is clean. Room is clean. Amenities are adequate. Overall a good hotel. Worth the stay as one can walk around Dabazha and food are easily accessible.

Hotel was slightly difficult to find due to a lack of a pick up/drop off bay. Check-in took a little longer than expected but staff generally friendly. Wi-Fi was slow and connection was not stable. Shower had no amenities holder and water from the shower seeped out into the dry area of the bathroom. Location was fantastic and within walking proximity of the Grand Bazaar and food options for those who are looking for an earlier start to the day.

The hotel is easy to reach when you get out from the correct exit of the nearby subway. The international bazaar is of a walkable distance. The hotel room is spacious if you have big luggage, it has a comfortable space. The TV wasn’t working when I stayed there and the light switch seems malfunction, the button wasn’t working according to the word written on the switch. The room is not soundproof, can hear noises outside.

Overall, decent stay. The location is quite prime as it is located near the bazaar and a metro station. The building itself is a bit older and it shows. The room was quite spacious, although they could have expanded the bathroom a bit with all that space. You can’t really maneuver around the bathroom with the door swinging. There wasn’t a place to hang towels either. The wifi required a chinese phone number to get an activation code which was unfortunate. I resorted to my esim but the signal in my room was terrible, since it was on the inner part of the building. The wood floor did not seem clean. The table by the window, which had an ash tray despite being a non smoking room, was dirty with dust and probably cigarette ashes. The rest of the hotel smells like cigarettes as do all hotel in china. The lobby felt a bit cramped with part of it being partitioned off to another part of the building, the security taking up the front part, and there seemed to always be a bunch of people/guests occupying the rest of the area. The front desk people were pleasant and they were prepared for non english speaking guests with translator and handouts in english

I had a great stay at this hotel. The room was clean and spacious, offering plenty of comfort. Its location is excellent-just a short walk to the International Baazar. The service was also very good, with staff being friendly and helpful throughout my stay.
