Very nice hotel with Japanese style located near Unzen onsen. The view from room is very stunning! Futon is very comfortable. Hot springs is sooooo good!! Especially for your skin! Very recommended!!🥰

This hotel exceeded my expectations. The food was exceptional, with a variety of dishes that were both tasty and beautifully presented. The private hot spring in the room was a highlight of my stay. It was incredibly relaxing and added a luxurious touch to the experience. The staff were professional and always willing to assist with any requests.

The now-Emperor of Japan stayed here when he was still the Prince. Not the most new and fancy hotel in the area, but still has its unique charm. Our room was by the lake which the sunset can be viewed from the balcony (but unfortunately we missed it due to arriving too late). Service was great, staff have good English. The breakfast was definitely the highlight, the food was nice and the view from the venue was very pleasant. Our plan didn’t have dinner but I am sure it would be just as good.

I don't want to give a cent. The hygiene is poor, there are cockroaches in the yukata, they discriminate against Chinese people, and the dinner has three fewer dishes than Japanese guests. After checking in, we were going to take a hot spring bath. My husband shouted that there were cockroaches after putting on the yukata. After taking off the yukata, we found a big dead cockroach stuck inside the yukata. We felt disgusted and immediately called the waiter to come up. The waiter called again after seeing the cockroach and asked us to change to a room at the end of the corridor. We don't like staying in the last room of the corridor, and it's very inconvenient that the room is farthest from the elevator. The air conditioner in the room has a bad smell from time to time, which makes us have to worry about the hygiene of the room, and we are worried that cockroaches or rats will appear again. I didn't sleep well all night. Regarding the cockroaches, no other service staff came to apologize. We booked a one-night stay with breakfast and dinner. When we went to the restaurant for dinner, we were given an English menu with very simple dishes. This is the least and simplest dinner I have had in more than 20 Japanese hot spring hotels. Later, we found that the dishes served by Japanese guests at other tables were different from ours, and there were more dishes than us. Because I had seen Chinese guests comment on Ctrip that the hotel only provides English menus and no Japanese menus, I went to take pictures of the Japanese menus and found that the Japanese menus for Japanese guests were different from our English menus (attached with photos of the dishes served to the Japanese and the Japanese and English menus). That night, I went to the official website to check that the lowest price for one night and two meals was indeed a package with a check-in time of 4 pm and a check-out time of 9 am, but the dinner of this package was the same as the other packages, the most basic. The dinner pictures shown on the official website had a few more dishes than ours, and were the same as the ones we saw for Japanese guests (attached with official website pictures). When booking at that time, there was only one price including breakfast and dinner on the Ctrip booking page, and there was no dinner package to choose from. It was obvious that the East Garden Hotel discriminated against Chinese guests and arbitrarily reduced the number of dishes for dinner. Recalling the cockroach incident, such a large dead cockroach was stuck in the yukata. How could a dead cockroach get into the yukata? Did someone discriminate against Chinese guests and put it in the room where Chinese guests stayed? yi In addition, we arrived at Dongyuan Hotel at around 2pm and wanted to store our luggage at the hotel before going to the attractions in Yunxian Hot Spring Town. The hotel's automatic door was closed and it said that check-in would start at 3pm today. We entered through the small glass door next to the door. The lobby lights were off. After a while, a middle-aged female service staff wearing glasses came out with an unhappy face. We said we just wanted to store our luggage first. She asked us for our passports to go to the front desk. After a while, she came over and said that we could only check in at 4pm because we were going to the hot spring town. It didn't matter whether we checked in at 3 or 4pm, but her attitude made us very uncomfortable. Because other hotels allow guests to rest in the lobby even before the check-in time, but they obviously drove us out of the hotel, which was very rude.

A very good hot spring hotel. We chose the one-stay, two-dinner package. The price is relatively beautiful. The mountain view + lake view are very beautiful. Ms. Miyoshi Mao who checked in was very patient and explained the relevant matters to us. The person who led us to the room, made the bed, and checked out was another young lady with bangs who was a little fat. Her service attitude was very good and she was also patient! I like her very much, but it's a pity that she doesn't have another name brand. I don't know her name. Hygiene: Very good, very clean. The sheets were brand new when the bed was made, and the towels and bathrobes were very clean. Environment: So beautiful! The transportation is convenient and it is not big. It is very comfortable to walk around. There is an express bus that goes directly to Nagasaki City in one and a half hours, which is very convenient. The room itself was quite large, very standard Japanese style room. In addition to shared bathrooms, rooms also have their own bathrooms and bathtubs. The toiletries are from Pola, which is very good. Facilities: complete. The toiletries provided in public bathrooms are of good quality and variety. There are indoor hot springs and outdoor hot spring sauna rooms, and towels and ice water are provided. The only drawback is that the shoe cabinet on the ladies' side is not very useful. I almost couldn't get my slippers out hahaha. Then I also hope that there will be a staff member on duty there to solve guests' emergencies. The service was excellent. A shuttle bus was provided to take us to the main road, saving energy and time. There is a small shop inside the store selling souvenirs at affordable prices. I bought some and liked them very much. The open-air hot springs and the scenery in the room are so beautiful. Unzen is a town that I will go to for vacation again. Let’s talk about the food. Breakfast and dinner are both exquisite and are the legendary kaiseki cuisine. The guy who served the food was gentle and patient, very nice~

Located relatively inside Unzen Town, there is a lake on the mountain. The hotel rooms all have lake views. Unzen is very small, so don’t miss it if you like lake views. The Japanese-style room is large, and the hot spring is in another building with an open-air hot spring. The restaurant is also by the lake, the environment is very good, the two meals are also good, and the overall price is very affordable!

There wasn't even a fan in the area where I took a shower and put on my clothes after soaking in the hot springs, so I was sweating again after getting dressed. The dining area is so stuffy that eating a meal feels like a sauna. Service: The front desk service is good, but the check-out time is very early, so please book with caution. Hot spring hotel restaurants in Japan don’t even have Japanese menus. I asked the waiter if they had Japanese menus, and they said they were all in English. With the level of English that Japanese people have, can they understand it?

This suite has been renovated. The official website describes it very well. The actual stay may be too high. It feels quite different from Hoshinoya. It is nice to soak in the private bath in the room and watch the ripples on the sea in the afterglow of the sunset. The front desk of the hotel does not speak English at all, and needs to rely on a translator. The hotel has a shuttle bus to take you to the hot spring hell to watch the fireworks. The dinner of the hotel is very good. As a hot spring hotel, the kaiseki is very attentive in both the presentation and the ingredients. However, the waiter does not speak English at all, so our experience is a bit worse. The breakfast is only Japanese and you need to wait until everyone is present before you can eat it. It is reasonable. The hotel courtyard is beautiful, but you can't enter.

Very good! Went there in early February and still impressed! The hell hot spring is good, the scenery is unique, the hotel is also high-end, the food is very Japanese and unique, very good👍
