Ulasan Hotel James Joyce

First off, Nadine, the front desk staff when we arrived is kind, and provided us information on how to go around Trieste. She pointed to us the various attractions of Trieste--and we are grateful she told us about the elevator which we can take in going to San Guisto Cathedral--instead of hiking all the way up. Thank you Nadine! However, the Hotel is hard to find--it is located in an alley--and not on a front street. When you are tired from a long plane or train ride, you would want the convenience of a hotel that is easy to find. Once you get your bearing, the location of the Hotel is good- walkable to most Trieste places of interests. The room and bathroom are both clean, although the amenities are basic (no coffee maker, etc). Breakfast is not included.

Great choice for a comfortable stay in Trieste. The staff were kind and helpful and the hotel was in a great location. Rooms were clean. This hotel was recommended by someone that was embarking on a cruise as we were. Close to the port for our sail.

We stayed here for one night before a cruise. We booked the hotel due to it's proximity to the cruise terminal. What a great find! Room was adequate in size, very clean and streamline. Reminded me of Switzerland. The bathroom was adequate, with a walk in shower. No real counterspace though. A/C worked and did not turn off. The staff is very nice, and the breakfast was ok, not great, but ok. It's a great place for a one night stay before a cruise. It took us only a few minutes to walk down to the dock. One thing: the location is in the old town, no cars. It happened to be raining (very badly) when we arrived, and our cab driver told us he could not take us any further into the area, due to no cars, etc. So we walked into the area, got drenched, and found the place by sheer luck. Word of advice: Make sure you know how to find this gem from any drop off points around the old town.

My partner and I spent a wonderful week in Trieste at the end of June. We stayed in the Hotel James Joyce. This is a wonderful hotel very close to the main square, Piazza Unita d'Italia, located in a quite side street. The hotel is spotlessly clean. The breakfast sets you up for the day. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, and Nadine's recommendations for restaurants will not disappoint. Hope to visit wonderful Trieste again soon and will stay at the James Joyce. Can't recommend this hotel highly enough

This is such a wonderful little hotel! The location is a tiny bit hard to find, but it's in the ancient old city area, so that's expected. The staff are absolutely terrific. They know the area and give excellent advice. The hotel does have an elevator which is essential. The rooms, although small, are perfectly appointed, immaculate, and very cozy. The breakfast was very good, and there were even gluten free options. The location is stunning with all of the most famous sights in Trieste just steps away. And, at night the area comes alive with restaurants and bars overflowing with people, but don't worry the hotel is down a small side street and I didn't hear anything with all the windows open.

I would absolutely recommend this hotel. The room was clean, comfortable and very quiet at night. 15 minute or so walk from the train and bus station and is near loads of great bars and restaurants Staff were friendly and accommodated a special request that we had.

Great central location with simple but superbly clean rooms with extremely comfortable beds. Very friendly and helpful staff. Fantastic find, I highly recommend it and if and when I return to Trieste I will definitely go there again. I would say it has the spirit of Trieste, clean, pleasant and with nice people. -A spotlessly clean, decent-sized room with an abundance of good quality furniture, fixtures, fittings etc. -A characterful building in the charming old quarter of Trieste -Superb-value -Fast check-in 5 stars would have been awarded had the breakfast not included rancid milk, self-baked supermarket bread and better matress would have been nice Would use again without hesitation.

Piccolo hotel centralissimo! In due passi raggiungi piazza Unità d'Italia. La camera e il bagno ben adeguati a tutte le necessità. Colazione, servita in una saletta al piano terra , propone una buona varietà dolce/ salato. Proprietario gentilissimo si è prodigato per farci vivere ottime esperienze culinarie in ristoranti di sua conoscenza e ci ha consigliato al meglio per un soddisfacente soggiorno. In definitiva il soggiorno presso questo hotel è stato ottimale. Ci torneremo senz'altro per un soggiorno più lungo.

Hotel delizioso : stanza molto accogliente , con soffitto in legno , molto pulita . Bagno ampio , ristrutturato di recente . L' albergo è silenzioso pur essendo centralissimo . Parcheggi a pagamento molto vicini . Il personale è garbato e disponibile . Torneremo !

Hotel ideale per visitare Trieste e dintorni: posizione centralissima, camere molto pulite ed accoglienti, colazione adeguata sia dolce che salata. Grazie davvero a Franco per la sua ospitalità e cordialità, per i preziosi consigli e per i ristoranti tipici non turistici che ci ha prenotato.

Hôtel très bien placé dans la vieille ville et calme. Très proche de l’embarquement pour les croisières et à 15 minutes à pied de la gare ferroviaire et des autocars. . Petit déjeuner-buffet correct. Heure de Check-out à respecter. À recommander

Posizione eccezionale, a pochi passi da Piazza Unità. Stanze ben attrezzate e comode, riscaldate in modo confortevole (forse solo non sufficientemente insonorizzate, ma nulla che pregiudichi la buona qualità del soggiorno). Colazione servita in un locale piccolo ma tutt'altro che scomodo, da una gentilissima collaboratrice della struttura. Piena disponibilità di Franco e del resto dello staff a farsi carico di piccoli problemi, la cui soluzione ha molto contribuito alla buona riuscita della vacanza.

Ottimo hotel! Personale splendido! Siamo stati qui per 3 notti e devo dire che l’accoglienza ci ha stupito fin da subito, abbiamo avuto la possibilità di programmare il check-in fuori dell’orario che hanno a disposizione e ci sono venuti in contro. Camera ampia e pulita, comodo il materasso. Locale della colazione un po’ piccolo, però commisurato con il numero delle camere quindi è ok. La stessa colazione, sia dolce che salata, è ottima e non manca praticamente nulla. La posizione è ottima, a due passi dalla bellissima piazza di Trieste. Personale e proprietari gentilissimi!
