Very nice and comfortable. You really feel like you are on your own country side house. A very good experience that children loved.´ Amazing experience! Very nice and avilable staff! The only thing I think its lees positive, is the distance to the closest restaurant or supermarket.

Entering the compound is entering to another dimension! The small houses, makes us think you’re in an ancient village! The decor is just brilliant, cosy , elegant, modern and beautiful! The surroundings are amazing and so well preserved! The breakfast is one of the best we’ve ever had! The staff is beyond belief, thank you Emilia and Micaela, you made our stay so perfect and made us feel so special, that we’re coming back for sure!

We enjoyed our stay tremendously! The little stone houses set in natural surroundings, the tranquil bio pool and the warm and indulgent hospitality made our stay perfect. Catarina and the staff were very responsive and catered to our every request and need. The farm is meticulously maintained and looked after. Thank you so much for a wonderful vacation. Can't wait to return.

Charming experience. From the typical stone houses to the porch overlooking the ecological pool, to the close contact with nature, it was a very pleasant family weekend. My daughter could swim with the frogs, feed the sheep, pick vegetables from the garden, and ride her bike around the property :)

My wife and I stayed at Chão do Rio for our honeymoon and we couldn't imagine a more perfect place. From the lovely, kind staff to the very generous daily breakfast basket and fresh bread, we felt very special and welcome. The house was comfortable, well equipped and cosy, with a beautiful fireplace to warm us up in the evenings. It was calm and quiet and we can't wait to come back!

What a cool place to wind down and relax. Had the best time here with my wife and daughter. The staff is really nice and helpful, always there for you. We stayed at Ribeira house which had all the things needed for our stay, from kitchen utensils to bathroom amenities. The only thing lacking in this house was the AC, which would have been useful for the hotter days we spent there. Breakfast is not served here but you get a basket full of local products that you can use to make your own breakfast. Also, freshly baked bread is delivered everyday to your house. It has an awesome bio pool, with frogs and water lillies. I drive an electric car and despite not having a public charging point, they facilitated me an electric outlet for me to charge it during the night. Will definitely come back to this place.

Nem sei por onde começar a elogiar. Os funcionários são muito simpáticos. O local é um autêntico paraíso, muito calmo. Estivemos no inverno, se chegávamos mais tarde a casa, já nos tinham acendido a lareira e ligado o ar condicionado. Pão quente todos os dias ao fim da tarde bem como uma cesta cheia de mimos regionais, ovos, manteiga, vários tipos de biscoitos, iogurtes, doce, requeijão, bolos regionais, néctar, leite, muita fruta, sei lá...Internet com wi-fi bem rápida, possibilidade de carregar carro elétrico, as casas são lindas por dentro. Lenha dentro de casa em grande quantidade e à porta. Bastava estar a cesta na rua meia de lenha e era reposta várias vezes por dia. Recomendo vivamente. Fomos tratados como reis.

Casal com um bebê de dois anos. Excelente serviço, espaço único e ótima organização. A dona está sempre disponível por WhatsApp e todos os funcionários são simpáticos e prestaveis. As casas têm um bom espaço e óptimas condições. Só melhorava a cobertura de wi-fi. Vamos voltar de certeza. .

Refúgio maravilhoso! Éramos 9 pessoas (4 adultos e 5 crianças) e ficamos na casa da Urze e Fraga. Espaços muito bem cuidados tanto o espaço exterior como interior! A simpatia das pessoas que ajudam a manter o Chão do Rio único, é incrivel. O pequeno almoço com iguarias da região é uma perdição! Ao fim da tarde, relaxar junto à piscina biológica é top! A repetir!
