The location is out of the way. But that's the point. To be out! Lovely gorgeous place that just melts your heart and clears your mind! Wished we had stayed longer. It might seem expensive but dinner and bf is all provided. Onsen too. Room is huge and clean. Ours faced the hills and had some snow outside still. Don't think. Just book this place!

A beautiful traditional onsen ryokan that is well maintained and updated with modern amenities. The service was top notch and the quality of the dinner was superb. Our one night stay was a good one experience.

A very traditional onsen ryokan, a very good experience. The onsen was excellent. Excellent dinner and breakfast. Thing to note that the traditional Japanese rooms in the main building has not ensuite bathroom, it's shared bathroom. A bit inconvenient but not troublesome at all. Enjoyed the stay here.

Very convenient to see Tsutanuma. Love it The Japanese dinner is lighter than my expectation. Be aware to choose the room as some may not have private toile, refrigerator even the curtain

This is a very old Japanese style hotel, but staff are all very nice with good services provided. The hotel is close to the walking path which allows you for enjoy hiking with you friends. But one thing need to be considered, which is toilet, the room itself doesn’t has toilet, you have to use public toilet which locates on the same floor of your room. Even though you have to clean up yourself in the morning, you have to use the public toilet or go to onsen to makeup yourself.

Worth every penny for the stay and food.

Breakfast is excellent but price is a little bit too high. Also there are no toilet in room. Very not convenient. Building itself is very beautiful and onsen is good too

A high-quality hot spring hotel with courteous service staff. The hotel environment has the atmosphere of a traditional Japanese hot spring hotel. Every corner of the wooden structure hotel is very clean and comfortable. The highlight is "Tatsunuma" which is a 15-minute walk from this hotel. During the trip, you can usually enjoy quiet time in the reading room, or enjoy coffee, Aomori apple juice or Japanese sake, and Aomori apple pie (only available when checking in) in the tea room, or visit the calligraphy and painting room in the hotel. The hot spring is indoors. After soaking in the hot spring, you can enjoy a small ice cream in the dedicated rest lobby. The accommodation rooms are clean and spacious, and the views from the windows of some rooms face the garden outside the hotel gate. The bed is comfortable but the pillows are a bit hard. Wifi speed is normal. Every dish at dinner is also delicious. Breakfast is a buffet with limited variety since it is only a hotel. In terms of transportation, there should be parking spaces outside the park. The hotel provides a shuttle bus to Hachinohe Station on the Shinkansen (advance reservation is required by phone or email), or you can choose a JR bus to Aomori Station, Oirase Stream and Lake Towada (but please note that there are only 3 round-trips per day) . The JR bus will stop at the stop in front of the hotel, and there will be a 15-minute break for passengers to go to the public restroom or store their luggage at the hotel before continuing the journey. Finally, this is a hot spring hotel worth recommending! Will stay again.

The bathroom is shared but not inconvenient, and it is very clean, as if returning to college. It is also a good way to feel the past, which is different from staying in Hoshino Oirase. You can feel the warmth and attention from time to time. View: This place has a long-standing connection with Japan's great writer Omachi Keizuki, and many of the great writers' works were completed here. So there is also an Omachi Keizuki exhibition room for visitors. Tour: There are seven large and small lakes formed by volcanic action behind the Tsuta Onsen Hotel, known as the "Tsuta Seven Swamps". Among them, Tsuta Swamp is a popular check-in place for photography enthusiasts, who squat in the middle of the night just to shoot the moment of "Tsuta Morning Burning". Transportation: When you go there, there is a bus from Aomori Station (running from 9/1 to 11/11) directly to the entrance of the hot spring hotel, or you can take the pick-up bus from the hotel to Shichihe Towada Shinkansen to get there easily (pick-up at 15:00 and pick-up at 9:30). The driver, an old man, helped everyone get on and off the bus with luggage, and waited for everyone to get off the bus with large and small luggage. It was very considerate. If you want to deeply experience the culture and customs of Japan, Tsuta Hot Spring Hotel is worth staying.

We chose Tsuta Onsen this summer because of its reputation as a thousand-year-old hot spring, and because the Japanese master Omachi Keigetsu once stayed there and praised it, and because of its unique surrounding environment "Tsuta Nanami-numa". The hotel's breakfast is very rich. While enjoying the food, the new green outside the window jumped in. We lived in the main building. There were no sanitary facilities in the room, and we had to go to the public area on the same floor to use them. We didn't feel particularly inconvenient after staying there for two days. The public area of ​​the hotel is very large. There is a memorial hall for Omachi Keigetsu, where you can see his unique calligraphy works, and the Maple House. There are many maple trees planted outside the large floor-to-ceiling windows. I think how dazzling the red color is in autumn. We walked around Tsuta Nanami-numa for about two hours. Each of the seven swamps has its own characteristics and scenery. I think if I go to Aomori again, I will choose an autumn and stay in Tsuta Onsen to see the heart-warming red leaves.

It is the style of Tsuta Hot Spring more than a hundred years ago! There are also five swamp pools to see around the hotel! The service attitude is very good 👍It’s worth a visit
