Do you want to pay for a sleepless night? Book a room in Eburon Hotel! You can enjoy slamming doors and disturbing passage of guests after midnight, discussion in the hallway from 4.10 am till 7.20 am, terrible music next door, … And the annoying sound of rain on the roof (third floor). Average breakfast (some essentials are missing), the buffet area is too small, noisy and crowded breakfast area Not having the energy to visit Tongeren and fed up with noise, we drove home to get some sleep. Eburon, you ruined my wife’s birthday!

The nicest place we have stayed at in a week of travels. Wasn’t sure what to expect. I would have guessed the room rate at double of what it is. Very modern, very comfortable, very friendly. The gals at the front desk were very very helpful. Would definitely stay here again if in the area.

Bed very large and extremely comfortable. Clean room with great shower. Quiet despite town centre location. Breakfast good but not outstanding. Asked for extra pillows which were provided after some time, albeit a bit lumpy. No TV channels at hotel. Just a smart TV. Handy if you already have a Netflix account, a nuisance if you don't. Took me an hour to download a couple of TV apps so we could watch something without a touchscreen. No bottled water in the room and no vending machine to buy some. Refrigerator plugged in but minibar not stocked. Just an empty fridge. Expected more from four-star hotel. No coffee and tea making facilities. But that is normal for the continent. Available to purchase in the lobby bar. Receptionist on arrival not very welcoming. Did not offer a welcome drink that was included in our package. I had to ask for it. The cava that was produced then however was very good!

Th hotel, located in a refurbished medieval Gasthuis (hospital) has excellent mattresses, nice and big roomsand a good breakfast with good choices. We had a great night's sleep. We also enjoyed the annexed Esaki Japanese restaurant. However, the TV did not work and it seemed to be all over the hotel! They offered a free drink as compensation.

Hi, we were expecting a 4* hotel as advertised!! It wasn’t and was in fact very basic. We had a comfort room with a large comfortable bed. Pillows were awful, lumpy and cheap. A coffee machine in our room with one coffee pod each, no water. Breakfast was a joke, very minimum and again basic. This morning no heating in the restaurant so we ate in the bar, broken toaster so no toast!!! No option for any decaffeinated drinks or breakfast teabags. The public areas were dirty and so were the toilets off the reception. Clearly understaffed . Due to the fact that this is a converted monastery, the bathroom / toilet in our room was a pod. Hotel was close to the antique market and round the corner from multi storey car park which was convenient but we will not be staying again. We will look for another hotel close by.

Kindest staff ever and very good breakfast. It will be my choice next time in Tongeren, and I will definitely recommend it. My room was very big and cozy, the ironing set in the room was a nice touch.
