Excellent, wonderful staff, dream room… obviously wonderful sea. Recommended

We booked for end of March to early April to miss the strong rain, thunder etc which happened on our last day, and we cannot do anything ie swimming or sun bath. The actual temp is higher than BBC weather, it is 38c, to 34c, and feel like 41c as strong sun and no wind, and no shade. A many of mini island with surrounding soft sand, but no shells and no fish. We were lucky to see sharks few times and mantle couple times. The depth of sea water is 5ft tall, and I could go out very far, but nothing to see on snorkelling which is a shame. Only few swimmers, only 20+ sun bathers, mostly are Germany ppl. Food, the restaurant is small and open so it is hot, only fans, so it is hard to stay out eating, but dash back to room for ac. the hot food is limited, I can count like 12 trays, and the fruits is limited and they cut for you. It is not a cheap holiday, so I would expect more selection and less control on food ie is a buffet, so controlling on fruits Is odd. I was on full board, and expecting some basic drink ie tea, soft drinks, but that was not that case, soft drink was like $4 not cheap. accommodation, we booked the superior water house, it is beautiful, and so cool, floating on sea, ours is at the end, so it is like 5 mins walk to beach, restaurant, gym etc so it was tiring, and annoying. The bathroom is beautiful, twin basins, but no shower head so it was annoying to wash, only fixed head shower. The sheets are not ironed, so you see ceased. It is hot country, like all islands, it has insects, cockroaches, etc and it was bad, I got bitten twice on the leg, and we did not eat inside. We sprayed and many cockrochaers died like flies. We both got bitten daily, 2 per days. they did act with spray, and electric, but they bite at sleep and daytime. The sea is beautiful, hot and salty, bring your snorkelling gear, feed bread and wait 15mins and you get some silver fishes. sunrise was covered by low clouds, and sunset was captured once, but covered by cloud again. It is an island, so you are locked in, we did the many excursions, snork, sunrise, dinner at night bbq, but there are not much to do. if you cannot swim, then you are in trouble ie bored. If you going for sun bathe, it is not cheap, as I can find local countries or other hot asia countries. You cannot swim far out, even it is low level as there are no life guard, so it is your risk to swim out far, so sea reef, is a no no, also you cannot go. It is a tick box holiday, but we wont go, as there are cheaper places for hot sun and clear water.

Excellent resort for relaxing and forgetting everyday life. Beach bungalows are lovely. Great snorkelling. Food excellent and friendly staff. Weather was absolutely beautiful, a bit of rain was a welcome relief. We will definitely return next year. Thanks everyone at Thurlagiri for a great holiday

This island is wonderful! We spent our honeymoon at Thulhagiri, first time in Maldives. I’m glad that I could be there, I have friends from the staff, they service and kidness also unforgettable like the island. Susma, Muffed and our favorite bartender we hope that we can see you again! Foods were amazing with my gluten intolarence I could choose min 4 type of food and never had issues as every day the staff showed me what can I eat! Thank you for the amazing expericence! Our October stay in Lovers Paradise My husband and I were looking forward to Thulhagiri Resort and we believed that this small island would be charming for our wedding anniversary holiday. We are regular visitors to the Maldives and love the barefoot natural resorts with a house reef. Thulgahiri did not disappoint us and we spent a wonderful 10 days here. The reef and coral here were worse than we expected, but the snorkeling trip to Bandos reef made up for it. The biggest benefit of the Thulgahiri resort are the beautiful beaches and white sand around the entire island. The beach bungalows also deserve praise.. too luxurious for us. We didn't use the TV or the bathtub during our vacation. The location of our bungalow was excellent (No. 121). Thank you to the reservation team (Mr. Hazim) for fulfilling my e-mail request regarding the preferred location of our beach villa. However, we would like to praise entire staff from the Sand bar, the Beach bar and the Buffet restaurant, all of which are run by a very experienced R&B manager. We especially thank to Mr. Rakesh from the Beach bar.. who fulfilled all our wishes very quickly and efficiently. Summary: I recommend the resort to guests who don't want to travel far from Male and prefer AI services over daily snorkeling. The beaches and ocean water are really beautiful here. The food is a litle bit monotonous but very tasty. We missed themed dinners in the Buffet restaurant and live music during the evening entertainment.., but the most important thing is that thanks to all the employees of the resort we had an unforgettable holiday. We have just returned from our honeymoon on this idyllic island. It is literally paradise and I can not recommend it enough. We stayed in a beach bungalow which was absolutely gorgeous. We could see the sea from our window and hear the waves in bed. We did all inclusive and would definitely recommend. Food and drinks were delicious and a huge choice. Staff were lovely. Special sound out to our waiter Nizam who always greeted us with a smile and couldn't do enough for us. Beach barman, Rakesh, was also fantastic. As was all the sand bar staff. We did some great excursions too. But also just spending time on the island watching all the sea life and snorkeling was lovely. If you are thinking about booking to stay here then definitely do it! You will LOVE it

Fantastic place for R and R-the waters are sparkling light blue with plenty of fish to be seen Staff are amazing,food is incredible and accommodation so comfortable-am in an overwater bungalow that rocks with the tide,so soothing Plenty to do-snorkelling trip and sunset dolphin tour extra but worth it

Amazing island fantastic relaxing holiday with the kindest most lovely friendly staff who could never do enough for us I did not want to leave and will definitely go back. We had a superior water villa which was so large and kept immaculate loved the outdoor shower and the large balcony leading straight into the sea and there were loads of fish around us all of the time which was wonderful to see through the glass table as well. The food was lovely and so much choice we were waited on by Mufeed absolute star he knew what we wanted without being asked. If you want a quiet small island do not hesitate to book absolutely nothing negative to say at all this was our dream holiday and did not disappoint

Beautiful small island at 20 minutes by boat from the Male Airport. Here a few bulletpoints: - good food. Optional activities and drinks can be expensive. The prices are on the website of the resort. - not many fish on the beach, but the reef is still ok to snorkel. - the sea was never calm during our 2 week stay, as the reef does not break the waves. - wifi is slow but available everywhere for free. - drones are allowed at certain times - we loved the water bungalow, but you should be aware that the waves are loud and the room can’t be darkened. You should use eye claps to sleep. - Thai massage are good - It was clean and you can walk barefoot everywhere - you receive 0,5l water and a new beach towel per person every day. - there are mosquitos on the island - we had enough sunbeds on the beach - i think the resort should give more information about how to protect the environment and the corals

already been there 2 weeks last year and it exceeded my expections and wishes. Very small island with 1 restauranr and 1 bar therefore very quiet and tranquil. So I stayed again this year for 2 weeks at the superior water bungalow with all inclusive. These bungalows are large, very clean and well kept. Love the big terrace which is absolute private. Food was like last year - excellent. Buffet style with lots to choose from. Waiters and other staff friendly and welcome. Same waiters as last year - and was even recognized by some of them. Had same table with the spectacular views. Will def return a 3rd time

I highly recommended this place - amazing food, very kind people and brilliant island. Huge thanks for our restaurant assistants - Nizam and Susma. They were very helpful and provide best service ever. I hope to back here again with my wife.

Just visited Thulhagiri Island, Maldives, it’s small, you can walk around in 10 minutes, 20 minute boat ride. We were a bit concerned as very few reviews on trip advisor, but we were the only brits! Privately owned by an Austrian and mostly European visitors but our 8th visit to 8 different Maldivian islands and best yet! Yes you can see Male and it rained a bit but would definitely recommend My only criticism would be you pay a premium for the deluxe water villas but you don’t get best seats in restaurant over looking the sea? (No problem with seats by where food being served) It was my husbands 70th birthday, our travel agent said they would notify the island but no recognition was made. The staff were all very polite and professional and the idea of stocking your fridge in the room with what YOU like was a big winner!

Absolutely perfect stay! The beach was very clean, the scenery unbelievable. The resort exceeded my expectations in every way. Delicious food, nice bungalows, lovely personnel. I would like to mention the waitress from the Sandbar- Susma, who was very polite, always smiling and professional, wish her the bedt and saying hello by attached photo! ❤️

Can I just say something? I have been on a lot of beach holidays and this one stands out the most!.everything was just perfect the food,drinks,and the people were so friendly and made us feel at home especially our lovely little waiter shazeem he was adorable hr made us feel at home.The bungalow we stayed in was incredible along with our view.The marine life was beautiful and will miss seeing the blacktip sharks and the gorgeous coloured fish.We just want to say thank you too all for making out holiday memorable we are hoping to come back ❤️
