Stamba Hotel, Tbilisi, Georgia: The most resplendent, decadent, hip, trendy, indulgent and hedonistic spot in the whole of Tbilisi. The colossal hotel was a former Soviet printing house and the restored warehouse hotel retains some of the brutalist elements. No one can resist sauntering into the hotel – the glasshouse structure is open and beckoning to all passersby. It’s beyond Georgian, welcoming all tourists and gawkers who amble into the lobby defined by the solid concrete beams ahead. Large potted plants soften the brutalist edges. Contemporary lush furniture and clever lightings wrap you in style. There are several spaces – Café Stamba, amphitheatre, outdoor bar, Tbilisi photography museum, a workspace, indoor space farm and gift shops. This is one of the most impressive restored contemporary stylish hotel I’ve set foot it. It’s a giant style guide with no other contenders. The only challenge is to elbow your way through the curious crowds jostling for a well-framed shot. #eatstylishtravelstylish

Amazing hotel.....quiet elegance, very atmospheric and great decor. Excellent staff, room service got our coffee machine going at 5.45 am and provided fresh milk.Huge rooms and lovely restaurants. The front desk/ concierge merits special mention.

The rooms are the best that I have every experienced in hotel stays: creative, clean and make you feel like you are at home in a loft apartment. The only negative is the small gym.

We stayed at the Stamba Hotel for 3 nights over 2 stays in a Terrace Room. The hotel is beautifully designed and integrates the original industrial elements with contemporary features. It is in a good location close to restaurants and supermarkets. The rooms are very comfortable and a good size. Breakfast in the restaurant was excellent, and the restaurant staff were very friendly and helpful. Our only issue was noise. Our first room (414) was noisy until about 11pm due to being above a bar area, and impacted our ability to get to sleep. For our second visit we raised this concern and were given a room (419) further away from the bar. Although there was still some noise it was a significant improvement. Other than the risk of noise coming from the bar, this is an excellent hotel.

Centrally located in a young, hip area. Lots of cafes, bars and restaurants around the area. Supermarkets, pharmacies and train station just a few blocks away. I love their cafe (Stamba Cafe) - has a nice ambiance and serves good food. Staff are nice. When I arrived, the manager was accommodating and offered information to get around the city. The rooms are very spacious and very picturesque (though lighting is a bit dim).

I hate leaving bad reviews if I can help it but it honestly this ruined my time while I was in Georgia. The attitude of the staff was just very off-putting. I felt unwelcome as a tourist. As someone who has traveled a lot- I've never experienced this before at a hotel (especially one of this stature) so it was quite shocking. The staff seem to all be young students. I never saw a manager walking around. You get a wonderful person every now and then but the overall attitude is one of annoyance or judgement if you needed anything. The security staff by the front of hotel were super unfriendly and cold. Never a smile or warm welcome. I was confronted by two of them coming up to me and talking to me like I was some hobo off the road, to not sit with my feet on my bag after we had checked out waiting for our transport. I am always happy to comply with hotel staff but it's HOW they go about it that just makes you feel so unwelcome. We also experienced a lot of wrong orders, slow service and a general attitude that it's you that is the problem not them. Which is a pity as the hotel itself is something to be experienced. I have submitted a report to the hotel so hopefully it's something they can work on and fix.

It is great to find a hotel which is brave enough to be “different”. The design concept is totally sympathetic with the building and creates a unique, quality, environment. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here as a base from which to explore Tbilisi.
