In general the hotel was ok, although it was slightly overpriced. The significant issue I had was the standard of bed that was provided. I travel for two months a year and stay in accommodation ranging from backpackers to five star hotels, but the bed in this hotel was by far the worst I have struck for years. It sagged permanently in the middle and meant that when i woke in the middle of the night i had a terrible headache from my curved spine. I couldn't sleep after that. My friend's bed was ok. The management are aware of the problem, and have started replacing the beds (starting in the more expensive rooms). In my mind there is no way that any hotel should have offered that bed to a guest. If you do stay there, i suggest you carefully check the standard of the bed you are being offered.

The best location hotel in tarakan, near of market, airport and shoping center. The staff so friendly, the one and only have swimming pool my child so happy when we come to tarakan and staycation on swiss-belhotel tarakan, nice place to staycation and quality time with family, i have job here and my family get their holiday.

Stayed here with a group of 24 for four nights. Great staff. Excellent breakfast. Best of all, very comfortable beds!! Well located. Ordered a boxed breakfast went leaving early by ferry which was very well done indeed. Very happy to recommend.

Outdated hotel, the room and bathroom need more lightings, a lot of stains on the carpet and you can feel the dust, at least the hotel sandal helps. But this is the only chain hotel in Tarakan, so really don’t have any other choice, unless you don’t mind staying in local unknown brand hotels.
