An amazing ryokan experience with very attentive service by Lai, Teddy and the team. While we had an unfortunate issue with the bath tub in one of our rooms, the team was quick to attend to it. They even offered us an upgrade to a very beautiful room with an ensuite private onsen and covered our drinks for dinner. Very appreciative of the team for going out of the way in their service recovery and helped us to enjoy our ryokan experience with many wonderful memories. Looking forward to stay at the Honjin Hiranoya Bekkan during our next visit to Takayama :)

The service was impeccable and we felt welcome when reaching the hotel. They have staff stationed near the hotel to guide guests to the entrance, we got a pleasant surprise upon entering the hotel. The location is superb, the old town is just opposite the hotel. Easy to navigate around the area with 2 morning markets nearby. We were also satisfied with the dinner and breakfast served, good variety and delicious.The only thing I hope could be improved is the female bath as there is only 1 bath which is not big, can get crowded when there are many guests.

Got the corner room, absolutely beautiful views and very clean. Great staff and located in central location making the whole town walkable to anywhere.

The staff greeted us at entrance, took care of luggage and asked for dining times. Guided us to our room and explained. We had dinner at hotel and it was delicious. The stay was excellent. Highly recommended👍

The hotel is not far from Takayama Station and also provides pick-up service. Takayama Old Town, Jinya and other attractions are within walking distance, which is very convenient. We stayed in a Western-style room on the side of Jinya. The room was clean and bright, with all the supplies, and the large bath was also very good. As for the food, since I sent an email to the hotel two weeks in advance to request that one of the guests remove fish from the meal, the hotel was considerate and the food service staff pointed out the changes made to the dishes when serving each dish, and the dishes that replaced the fish were not sloppy, which made me very satisfied. In addition, the service attitude of the staff is also very good, and there are also English-speaking staff to serve guests who do not understand Japanese. In short, the hotel is of high standard in all aspects and I will recommend it to my friends.

It's about 10 minutes away from the train station. You can contact the hotel for a shuttle bus. Although it's small, the scenery is first-class. The tatami room is very good, but the breakfast is really hard to describe. Please improve it.

We went there just when it was snowing heavily. It was a really beautiful place with beautiful scenery. The day before we went, we contacted the front desk to pick us up at the bus station and enthusiastically reminded us that the weather would be cold in the next few days, so we should keep warm. During our stay, they knew where we wanted to go and helped us check the scenery and routes. The breakfast and dinner were also rich. The room was arranged on the top floor, and we could see the whole beautiful scenery. If I had to say a disadvantage, it might be that the hot spring place was a bit simple, but the service was really enthusiastic, and the location was great. I will stay here again in the future!

A hot spring hotel with a very good location, very close to Takayama Jinya, the ancient street and the station. The room is a tatami. After checking in, there will be detailed instructions and facilities introduction. The dinner time and the next day's breakfast time will also be specified when checking in. The service staff will come to lay out the mattress during meals. The hotel provides yukata, separate hot springs for men and women, and women have an independent hot spring with a better environment. There are all kinds of bathing and skin care products, and the meals provided are also rich. There is also a car to take you to the JR station.

A typical Japanese hot spring hotel, not far from JR Takayama Station, about 10 minutes walk. The hotel is next to the popular red bridge, close to Miyagawa Morning Market and Takayama Jinya. I booked a one-night stay with two meals. Dinner was delicious Hida beef, and breakfast was Japanese. The hot spring is on the 7th floor, not many people, and it is very pleasant to enjoy the scenery while taking a bath.

The hotel feels like a B&B when you first enter it. The service is really good. The location is a bit far from the Takayama City Bus Station, but you can arrange for them to pick you up for free, which is quite convenient. I highly recommend their Hida beef dinner. Then they all have tatami mats to stay in. Before going to bed, the waiter will help you lay out the mat and quilt. The scenery outside the hotel is very good. I recommend this hotel

There is Chinese service at the front desk. We booked a one night stay and two meals, which were delicious. After the trip, we went back to the hotel to take a bath and then eat. The service was very good, and they also helped us drive and pick up our luggage. The room was a Japanese-style room that I liked.

I wrote an email in advance to book a pick-up at the station. When I got off the bus, I saw that the guy was almost frozen. When checking in, they asked very detailed questions, such as whether there were any allergies to the food, and booked the time for breakfast and dinner. You can also choose your own yukata. It is a very standard Japanese hot spring hotel. The hotel has a hot spring specifically for women in the next building. If you want to go, you can just get the key at the hotel front desk. The skin care products provided by the hot spring are all Sekkisei, which is very good! The scenery at the entrance of the hotel is very good, and the location is also very good. It's great! Worth coming!

The overall hotel experience is good, the room is in a good location, and the room is larger than expected. The landscape hot spring facilities are good, and there are two public baths for ladies, one of which is converted from a granary, which is unique. The food tastes average. Disadvantages: 1. The attitudes of several female waiters at the front desk are relatively indifferent, and they often have cold faces. One of the older ones was obviously impatient when answering my questions about the shuttle bus when checking out. 2. I was assigned to the only river view room without a balcony in the hotel, which is different from the room photos. I feel very uncomfortable. I don’t know why, and I don’t know if I was targeted. 3. The breakfast time is too early! When I went there, I could only choose 6:30/7:00/7:15. I had to go to bed early at night, otherwise I would be sleepy all morning. The check-out time is 10 o'clock, and extra money is required to extend the check-out.
