Common areas like hallways and elevators are also consistently kept clean. The front desk offers a smooth and efficient check-in/check-out process. The staff are friendly and helpful; they proactively upgraded my room and even gave me a welcome gift. While the hotel's facilities are a bit older, they are very well-maintained and comprehensive. The air conditioning and hot water operate reliably, water pressure is strong, and the bed offers a comfortable balance of softness and firmness. There's also free parking available on-site, which is very convenient for those traveling by car. The breakfast tasted good, though the selection wasn't extensive. There's also a Chinese restaurant on the second floor offering affordable set menus. Overall, with its excellent location, cleanliness, attentive service, and good value for money, this hotel is a solid choice for a short trip to Taining."

"Nice hotel, right in the most attractive part of Taining town. It's a few minutes walk from the historic district, right on the river front. Easy access also to get to the natural scenic areas of the region. The hotel itself is nice, clean, well-maintained. The room is spacious and has modern features. The staff is very helpful, they do their best to accommodate a laowai customer. The only critique I have that is true for the vast majority of the hotels in China that the breakfast isn't exactly attractive for foreigners. One can of course eat Chinese breakfast with steamed buns and spicy soups and things like that most of the time, but occasionally I wouldn't mind to have a western style option available too. In a four star hotel I would expect this to be on the menu"

The hotel is a three-minute walk across the street to the scenic area shuttle bus, which takes about 20 minutes to reach Dajin Lake. A five-minute walk from the hotel brings you to the ancient city. Getting to the hotel from the high-speed rail station takes about 40 minutes by bus or 20 minutes by taxi. The breakfast offers a good variety of dishes; on the first day, I had chicken and mushroom soup, and on the second, seaweed and pork rib soup, which was more diverse than I expected. Most essentials were available. The milk and soy milk are instant mixes; the soy milk is plain, and the milk is a bit sweet. You can also order dinner. Even with tour groups, especially in the off-season, breakfast is still hot and comprehensive. The hotel now has central air conditioning at night, providing warm air.
