Traveling off-peak, I chose this pet-friendly hotel with my dog. I didn't expect the service to be so good!
The owner contacted me before I arrived at the store and helped me turn on the air conditioner in advance. After I arrived, he asked several times and offered to help carry the luggage upstairs. It was warm inside the room, and he also gave us a large fruit plate. The room was clean and tidy. I would like to try the duplex room next time. This time I chose a twin bed so that my mother and I could sleep well. Haha! Parking is very convenient. It is very convenient to park behind the building to get the luggage. Quietly, I have stayed in so many homestays, and this one really impressed me. The yard is full of flowers and plants, full of the breath of life. It is very comfortable to sit in the yard and drink tea and chat. The room layout is unique and full of local cultural elements, allowing people to deeply experience the local customs. The landlord is also very nice, and the communication is easy and pleasant, which adds a lot of fun to this trip.

The hotel is on the edge of the ancient town, but not in the ancient town. You can enter the ancient town for free before 8 am and after 5 pm, but in theory there will be ticket checks at the entrance at other times. If you are lucky, no one can mix it occasionally. You can also borrow the boss's electric car to ride in without buying a ticket.
The parking lot has to be close to 10 minutes. If you pull the suitcase, the stone road is still not very good. When I left, the boss drove a small three rounds to the parking lot ☀👍
The boss upgraded the room, you can view the river, opposite is the back kitchen of some restaurants, so the scenery is not as beautiful as expected 🤣
The only problem is that there are almost all problems in the ancient town. The sound outside in the morning is still quite noisy. After all, there are locals living in the ancient town. The residents on the other side get up early in the morning to work and knock on and wash. It is understandable. It is recommended to travel with earplugs.
The rose flowers blooming at the door are particularly beautiful, and many Hanfu ladies come to check in 📷

Traveling with children, we arrived at Tongli Ancient Town at around 12 noon, the temperature was 38 degrees. The beautiful girl in the store rode an electric bike to the parking lot to help with luggage. After arriving at the store, she enthusiastically introduced the tour route. The arrangement was very good and the service was very good. The room was large and clean, and the two 1.5-meter-long beds were very comfortable. I wanted to stay for another day because I had already booked it, so I went to find another homestay. I was very satisfied with the accommodation experience and recommended it for traveling with children.

I came to Tongli on Saturday evening. I bought a small bag of sweet strawberries by the bridge when I entered the town from the north entrance. I walked a short distance with it and arrived at the inn.
The room was arranged on the first floor. I opened the window as usual and saw this cat with some worries... Finally, it turned its head and looked at us...
Tongli seemed to be still cold in early spring. The girl at the front desk also repeatedly reminded us not to remove the electricity card, and the floor heating was on...
After a night, I happily wandered in the gardens and alleys of Tongli...

This is one of the best hotels I have stayed in China. The service was incredibly outstanding! Great attention since the very beginning until the end of our stay. The room was very clean and comfortable. I was surprised since the hotel is even better than the photos! If you visit Tongli, this is the option. You will not regret it. I stayed at Shuiyunjian for three days. Tongli is really suitable for living and playing. Shuiyunjian is in an excellent location. It is very convenient to go anywhere and do anything. The price is very good. I feel like a local. I will choose this next time I come to rest.

To be honest, it's really great. The service is also very good. The location is very good. There is a noodle shop on the right when you go out. It's called Tian Yi Dian? I think it's very delicious. Better than the one in Suzhou City. Hahaha. Anyway, I'm quite satisfied. I will stay here again next time I come. 😄

Very friendly and helpful owner. Room was great. Hotel spans over a few separated buildings which gives privacy and feels like you're not staying in a hotel. We stayed 3 days but this is too long and we would recommend 1 or 2 days at most. The hotel is in a quiet area of the old town, but close enough to stroll a few hundred meters to experience the hustle and bustle.
You'll need tickets to enter the scenic area to get to the hotel, but the friendly hostess helped us with this. Contact her before you arrive to save time.
Scenic area:
Lovely little water town. Three beautiful old homes with immaculate gardens. Our favorite one was Tuisi garden.
Wake up early to avoid the crowds.
The food inside the scenic area is not great (we suspect it's pre-cooked by a company that supplies to all the restaurants inside the scenic area) but going through the main gate provides for a lot of better options.
Watch out for the residents on their motorbikes!

I came to Wujiang for a weekend vacation. The garden-style state guesthouse hotel that caught my eye had an elegant environment and the sound of birdsong. The girl at the front desk was dignified and generous, and her service was proactive and enthusiastic. I felt that she was well-trained and well-behaved. I have to give her a thumbs up! A young man took the initiative to lead me into the guest room and introduced the characteristics of the hotel in detail. The guest room was spacious and comfortable, with complete facilities and cleanliness. The TV broke down and the guest room and engineering staff were in place to deal with it in time. I would like to thank them again. The breakfast was good, especially the Suzhou noodle soup, which was delicious and worth recommending.

JJairoOur experience at this hotel could not have been better—it was truly beyond our expectations. The location is perfect, nestled in a historic house with sophisticated decor that exudes charm and elegance. The staff went above and beyond to please us, attending to every detail with care.
Upon arrival, we were welcomed with a delicious afternoon tea, featuring a homemade tiramisu that was absolutely delightful. The staff is well-prepared to receive foreign guests; Miss Yang, in particular, speaks excellent English and is very kind.
Overall, we strongly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a memorable and exceptional stay in Zhouzhuang.

TTuscany RoseI am absolutely in love with this hotel! First of all, the hotel is located inside the scenic spot. One of the staff called me in advance to arrange a time to pick me up at the entrance of the scenic spot. My Chinese is not good so normally it's very awkward for me to speak over the phone in Chinese but she was very patient with me which I appreciate. Not only did she escort me to the hotel but she also carried my luggage for me.
The decor inside the hotel has a beautiful, rustic asthetic which matches the feel of the ancient town. I really like table and chairs in my room, overlooking the pond. The pond also has koi fish and turtles! It was a beautiful touch that added to the overrall feel of the hotel. I loved these little details such as theovely traditional Chinese tea set (with a variety of complementary loose tea leaves), and the stylish coffee mugs.
Unfortunately I came to Zhouzhuang during a severe typhoon which caused a leak and power cut in my room, so when I alerted the staff, they immediately gave me a new room. They even helped me pack my things so I can change rooms as soon as possible. The new room I went to was equally as beautiful.
Not only is the hotel beautiful but it also has great amenities. Both rooms I stayed in had a stone bathtub which were both very deep -you could float it in! If you come here, I would recommend you bring some bubble bath with you like I did for maximum relaxation. I also made good use of the pool. The pool is a little small and a bit too shallow for an adult, but you can still have an enjoyable swim. Lastly, the tea room and cafés are also a nice addition to the hotel. My second room didn't have a table and chairs like the original one I booked, so I went to the tea room to eat my breakfast. It's also a cozy and comfortable room just to relax in if you're feeling lazy.
As I have mentioned throughout this review, the service is second to none. Not only did the staff help me get to the hotel, but after I checked out they also carried my luggage and escorted me to the taxi. Throughout my stay I was offered fresh fruit and coffee several times, and as I mentioned earlier, I was immediately helped when I had to change my room. Whenever I struggled to communicate in Mandarin, the staff would try their best to speak English or would be patient with my hesitation or mispronunciation in Mandarin. This is probably the best ever service I have experienced on my travels.
In summary, it's a beautiful hotel, in a convenient location with great facilities and helpful and kind staff. Not only will I come back again (and with my family next time) but I will recommend all my friends and colleagues to stay at this hotel if they ever plan to visit Zhouzhuang.

I particularly like the location because it is within walking distance from the Kunshan Culture and Art Center. It is so convenient to watch performances from Shanghai, especially when there are some popular performances that cannot be bought in Shanghai. The curve saves the country and the price-performance ratio is unparalleled.

GGuest UserNow, I can sit here and tell you that we’re staying in an eco-friendly hotel that even though you’re inside its high glass windows gives you an outdoor vibe. I can even sit and talk about the saline pool, its state-of-the-art gym and list all the amenities; and I can even talk about the number of rooms and the fact that as we speak there’s an international summit going on here.
Somehow that won’t speak about my experience here at this hotel. Elements (by Westin) Suzhou Science & Technology Town does have all of the above BUT what I love about this hotel is its Staff. I love the fact that they seem to be always be here. I somehow believe that they live onsite because they’re always around.
In the morning, even before I enter the Salon I hear, “Nǐ hǎo Marsha” from the Breakfast Host, followed up by the nice lady in the Salon, smiling at me and ushering me to the coffee machine, while handing me my 2 brown sugar packs. She knows my morning habits so quickly. Not only that, because they knew Peter was missing from my breakfast table for a few mornings, they now signal to me with take away containers for Peter, to have his breakfast in the room.
When we need to go anywhere the young ladies at the Front Desk (no matter which Shift) are always either asking us where we need to go so that they can call a CASH taxi to get us to our destination. One of them even came with me one day to the Bank of China’s ATM and sat in the taxi while I went in and conducted my business and accompanied me to the Campus to visit Jon-Marc. Yesterday, one of them even used her own Didi account to get us transportation back to the hotel and we reimbursed her (and walked away while she was trying to give us back our change because we knew she wouldn’t have taken the Tip as is their custom). How else could we have shown her how grateful we were for her kind gesture?
Then there is Simon Jiang, the General Manager, who speaks perfect English and is always there to assist and offer suggestions of things to do and places to go. Simon was the one who actually explained to me that you can’t just walk into a pharmacy and get anything without a prescription. What I can tell you is that even though he is the GM he is always on hand assisting the staff with their work. Even though there is a clear hierarchy here, he takes off his jacket and assists in the kitchen, you can sometimes see him helping the older ladies bring out the heavy equipment (if needed) when they’re cleaning the floors, clear tables, etc.
Or Alex Ju, the Assistant General Manager, who accompanied Peter and I to the hospital and stayed and spoke with the doctor and the international insurance department on our behalf (in Mandarin) to make everything a little easier for us.
These people are the ones who have made my stay here memorable and I can honestly say that its because of them that I would recommend Elements by Westin in Suzhou to ANYONE who wanted a place to stay without hassle and with a host of helpful, courteous, friendly staff. It has been my pleasure having encountered such warm, friendly, delightful and gentle human beings.

RRuthWe were happy with our stay here. The room was nicer than it looked online, and the hotel was really clean. There are playrooms for young children that are free (3 rooms with some different toys in each room). The rooms are a bit old and tired, but my 2 year old enjoyed playing there and requested UK hi back lots of times. For parents it is just great to have somewhere for your kid to play and have fun, especially as the weather was very cold when we went! Outside there is a play area and sand digging pit. Location is walking distance from Tongli old town. Restaurant does evening buffet, and buffet breakfast. The food is fine, more Chinese than western, my husband really liked it and my favourite part was the Beijing roast duck at dinner. The pool is warm, with floats and rubber rings to borrow. There is a little land train, it takes a 10 minute trip around the hotel grounds and the cost is 20RMB for one adult and child. For me it was very boring but my son loved it 😂
The staff are very warm and friendly, everyone is very professional. Each guest is connected to a butler on wechat before they arrive so you can easily send a message and get some help. Our butler is Yu Ting and she helped us very professionally.
For me, the things the hotel can improve are (1) the animal petting zoo - by western standard the facilities for the animals are not very good, just concrete enclosure with hut. For foreigners, we do not really like this. (2) We had a problem with the other guests smoking in the hotel, eg in the coffee bar. When I complained to the staff they tried to stop the guests, but even though they repeatedly reminded them to stop, the other guests continued. In the end they arranged for me to move to a private room near the bar where I could avoid the smoking. I was very grateful that they found a solution for me and my baby, but I am speechless there are such guests who flagrantly break the rules and the hotel cannot stop them. We smelled smoke in some different public areas, so maybe this is a problem with several guests 🙁
Overall we are happy with our stay and it is a good place to spend a few days with kids.

CCameo19A beautiful hotel, modern and stylish with lovely gardens and surroundings, worthy of IG photos. The hotel gave me a free upgrade, an executive suite with a private garden!! I was so surprised with the garden, such a delightful space with seating. Bed was very comfortable, free mini bar on the first day, and a stylish bathroom with bath tub. Breakfast was sufficient. The front desk staff spoke English and were very helpful in booking my boat trip, also thanks to Peter who was very courteous. Location is excellent, metro is a few metres away, and there is a new shopping village with some lovely western restaurants plus lots of stylish bars. The gardens are also nearby. Highly recommend this hotel.

LLaoDaWeiThis was my go to hotel in Suzhou for location and price. The room facilities are excellent - with a fully equipped kitchen. The rooms are not modern but have a dated charm - there is also a window in the bathroom and a bathtub for those that like a soak.
The breakfast is above average.
My one complaint AND IT'S A BIG ONE! In the executive studios the bathroom doors have been wedged open - this is clearly a privacy issue but also the kitchen is next to the bathroom. No-one wants to stare at a toilet while they are cooking lunch. What were the management thinking - ruining a perfectly good room! A couple of stars knocked off until that issue is sorted!
