I recently stayed here again in October 2024, but my experience this time was different from my previous stay in January. Last time, I stayed with friends, and I was very impressed. The room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and came with a range of amenities, including a fridge, washing machine, dryer, hairdryer, and more. I rated it a perfect 10/10 then!
The hotel still has a great location near the train station, making it very convenient for getting around. However, on this visit, the room felt much older, with noticeable wear and tear, including dark stains on the floor and a bathroom that didn’t feel as clean as before. The decor seemed a bit outdated as well.
The service was still okay, and the staff did their best, even using Google Translate to communicate in English. Overall, while the convenience and amenities are still good, I was disappointed that the room's upkeep has declined.

The receptionists are very professional, polite and helpful. During our first day of check-in, they provided us the Suzhou travel guide, introduced us some local attraction spots and foods. And at our last day of stay, we missed our train to Hangzhou, the staff offered help to contact our booked hotel at Hangzhou (another homeinn branch) to check whether we can cancel one night stay at the hotel. Although the request didn’t succeed, the gesture and helpfulness of the staff make me feel warm and grateful.

The reception staff for all 3 nights of my stay were very helpful in guiding me about where to eat, where to rxplore and how to get to the places of interest. Kudos to them our stay in Suzhou was a very wonderful experience! The room was also clean and tidy. The housekeeping staff made it a point to tidy the room everyday. The hotel is just north of Suzhou Station, and you can walk through the underground pass to get there. I had a windowless room, but with the high ceilings and light decor I barely noticed the lack of natural light.
The breakfast buffet was big and the selections changed a bit each day. There are several small convenience stores on the same block, plus a Luck in Coffee. One block over has a lot of small eateries that seemed to be open all night

Service staff was attentive to our requirement knew what we wanted. The room size was great with built in washer and dryer. The entire experience was unforgettable and worth talking about. The location was fantastic with teh railway station and metro across the road from the hotel. Will definitely book this hotel again.

The hotel has a great location, as it is within walking distance from several scenic spots, including the Bao’en Temple, the Humble Administrator’s Garden, the Lion Grove Garden, as well as various museums. The Suzhou Train Station is ~20 minutes away walking.
Check-in was really efficient, there’s an elevator and all the stairs have ramps for suit cases, although they are a bit steep for wheelchair users, but this is on floors 2 and above. Despite the hallway rugs being dirty, the inside of the room was clean and smelled like it too. At your arrival there’s 2 water bottles, and everyday they replace them when they clean your room (or if you are there and don’t want it cleaned, they still offer you the water).

Such a good value for nice hotel. Location is walking distance to Suzhou museum and Humble Admin garden. Close to 2 lines of metro. Flexible cancellations (I had to change date because of CNY transportation but they were willing to accomodate). Nice size room with complete amenities and Japanese-style toilet. Our first time staying at Mercure Shilu Shantang in Suzhou. The front desk customer service at this hotel is really impressive. We were given an early check-in which is a blessing and this is great especially we are travelling on a large group. Rooms are pretty spacious but do be careful some of the room are ”windowless” and air circulation might be a concern. If you feel the room is warm just switch off the ”air-conditioning” and the room temperature will go down, if you are staying in a room with windows you might want to air the room during the day and close the windows at night. On the breakfast end, I find that it is sufficient, not ”wow” but good enough.
Location wise is strategic to the tourist spot such as 山塘街.
A few times i needed help with calls and transport, the reception is very quick in their action and even offer us bottled water for our journey back. I won't hesitate to recommend this hotel. If you are asking about Accor ALL membership, nobody in the hotel seems to be knowing much about it.

JJairoOur experience at this hotel could not have been better—it was truly beyond our expectations. The location is perfect, nestled in a historic house with sophisticated decor that exudes charm and elegance. The staff went above and beyond to please us, attending to every detail with care.
Upon arrival, we were welcomed with a delicious afternoon tea, featuring a homemade tiramisu that was absolutely delightful. The staff is well-prepared to receive foreign guests; Miss Yang, in particular, speaks excellent English and is very kind.
Overall, we strongly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a memorable and exceptional stay in Zhouzhuang.

NNuonuo（minsuban）I have been here 4 times and I still like it very much. Marriott's Suzhou Technology City Yuansu Hotel has a lot of details. I like to eat their fried chicken and bread for breakfast. I didn't eat Laba porridge during the Laba Festival. I didn't expect to eat it at the hotel. The hotel operation management is very online, no wonder the business is so good on weekdays. The breakfast room is full, and I am a tourist who is super loving! ! ! I remember the first time I went to 12.13. At that time, the hotel seemed to have just opened and was adjusting some details. Later, I went with my girlfriends in a few days. I was very happy when I had breakfast. There were many types. The bread was freshly baked and delicious! ! All categories are very fresh. Later, I came with my boyfriend. It was very convenient to charge here. I came again yesterday and found that their front desk staff spoke very good English. The front desk lady who received me was also very good! ! I was particularly impressed because she wanted to register as a Marriott member, and she helped me a lot in the process, especially unexpectedly also sent me welcome fruit. There are tips next to the air conditioner, so that the air conditioner is very simple. I don't know how to open it for the first time. For this detail, I can feel the operator's intentions. The bathrooms are all Kohler's, the towels are clean and have a faint fragrance, and the bed is very, very comfortable! ! ! ! The quilt is soft and I took a lot of photos in the hotel. I really like to come here and want to relax every time I rest. As soon as I enter the hotel, it is very fragrant. There is an aromatherapy machine.

TTuscany RoseI am absolutely in love with this hotel! First of all, the hotel is located inside the scenic spot. One of the staff called me in advance to arrange a time to pick me up at the entrance of the scenic spot. My Chinese is not good so normally it's very awkward for me to speak over the phone in Chinese but she was very patient with me which I appreciate. Not only did she escort me to the hotel but she also carried my luggage for me.
The decor inside the hotel has a beautiful, rustic asthetic which matches the feel of the ancient town. I really like table and chairs in my room, overlooking the pond. The pond also has koi fish and turtles! It was a beautiful touch that added to the overrall feel of the hotel. I loved these little details such as theovely traditional Chinese tea set (with a variety of complementary loose tea leaves), and the stylish coffee mugs.
Unfortunately I came to Zhouzhuang during a severe typhoon which caused a leak and power cut in my room, so when I alerted the staff, they immediately gave me a new room. They even helped me pack my things so I can change rooms as soon as possible. The new room I went to was equally as beautiful.
Not only is the hotel beautiful but it also has great amenities. Both rooms I stayed in had a stone bathtub which were both very deep -you could float it in! If you come here, I would recommend you bring some bubble bath with you like I did for maximum relaxation. I also made good use of the pool. The pool is a little small and a bit too shallow for an adult, but you can still have an enjoyable swim. Lastly, the tea room and cafés are also a nice addition to the hotel. My second room didn't have a table and chairs like the original one I booked, so I went to the tea room to eat my breakfast. It's also a cozy and comfortable room just to relax in if you're feeling lazy.
As I have mentioned throughout this review, the service is second to none. Not only did the staff help me get to the hotel, but after I checked out they also carried my luggage and escorted me to the taxi. Throughout my stay I was offered fresh fruit and coffee several times, and as I mentioned earlier, I was immediately helped when I had to change my room. Whenever I struggled to communicate in Mandarin, the staff would try their best to speak English or would be patient with my hesitation or mispronunciation in Mandarin. This is probably the best ever service I have experienced on my travels.
In summary, it's a beautiful hotel, in a convenient location with great facilities and helpful and kind staff. Not only will I come back again (and with my family next time) but I will recommend all my friends and colleagues to stay at this hotel if they ever plan to visit Zhouzhuang.

I particularly like the location because it is within walking distance from the Kunshan Culture and Art Center. It is so convenient to watch performances from Shanghai, especially when there are some popular performances that cannot be bought in Shanghai. The curve saves the country and the price-performance ratio is unparalleled.

RRuthWe were happy with our stay here. The room was nicer than it looked online, and the hotel was really clean. There are playrooms for young children that are free (3 rooms with some different toys in each room). The rooms are a bit old and tired, but my 2 year old enjoyed playing there and requested UK hi back lots of times. For parents it is just great to have somewhere for your kid to play and have fun, especially as the weather was very cold when we went! Outside there is a play area and sand digging pit. Location is walking distance from Tongli old town. Restaurant does evening buffet, and buffet breakfast. The food is fine, more Chinese than western, my husband really liked it and my favourite part was the Beijing roast duck at dinner. The pool is warm, with floats and rubber rings to borrow. There is a little land train, it takes a 10 minute trip around the hotel grounds and the cost is 20RMB for one adult and child. For me it was very boring but my son loved it 😂
The staff are very warm and friendly, everyone is very professional. Each guest is connected to a butler on wechat before they arrive so you can easily send a message and get some help. Our butler is Yu Ting and she helped us very professionally.
For me, the things the hotel can improve are (1) the animal petting zoo - by western standard the facilities for the animals are not very good, just concrete enclosure with hut. For foreigners, we do not really like this. (2) We had a problem with the other guests smoking in the hotel, eg in the coffee bar. When I complained to the staff they tried to stop the guests, but even though they repeatedly reminded them to stop, the other guests continued. In the end they arranged for me to move to a private room near the bar where I could avoid the smoking. I was very grateful that they found a solution for me and my baby, but I am speechless there are such guests who flagrantly break the rules and the hotel cannot stop them. We smelled smoke in some different public areas, so maybe this is a problem with several guests 🙁
Overall we are happy with our stay and it is a good place to spend a few days with kids.

GGuest UserPros: Very good location for walking around Pingjiang road. Very handy Suzhou train station pick up service, would recommend utilising for anyone arriving by train. The room was spacious and the bed really comfortable.
Cons: bathroom had a bad smell emanating from it. There was quite a lot of construction happening while we were there, started around 7am and didn’t finish until after midnight. Would recommend bringing ear buds. Shower pressure was ok but not amazing. There is also no elevator so you will need to climb one flight of stairs to reach the rooms which are all on the first floor.

MMr CKSStayed 2 nights 2 rooms in Pan Pacific Suzhou, it felt like you’re staying in a ancient Palace which sounds awesome, but given how competitive hospitality is in recent years have evolved in China, they fell short in some important areas.
II’m not sure how to review this hotel, as this falls under the Pan pacific brand, guests will have certain expectations. Its ok some amenities are dated, it’s still a comfortable stay.
But I wished they had more friendly check in service, better coffee (I don’t why they are using 90s small coffee cup, no latte) better free Hanfu (a free but very limited ancient costume) experience, better slippers..
Despite these hiccups, they managed to offer a value for money stay especially for families, large groups, etc. overall a good experience, if you are not a nit picker like me 😀

PPo LingOur twin room is very spacious and cozy. We loved how the staff speedily gave us an air purifier when we said we smelled some cigarettes smell. It helped refreshing the room fairly quickly. The fixtures and fittings are very useful, from good size of wardrobes, suitcase space, sofa, desk, bed and pillow are reasonably comfortable and not too soft. Housekeeping is very neat and tidy as well. We particularly like the open view from window facing the shopping arcade (traditional low rise houses). Last but not least, we wanna thank Hailey Song for going an extra mile and helped us return a parcel to SF upon check-out. Will recommend others upon their visit to Suzhou :)

DDRAGANLocations was convinient , 15 mins walk to the downtown. It's clean but if I compare with their hotel Citadines in Shanghai this one is a little bit older so I will rate with 3.5/4 stars only. Breakfast was nice tho , we had a chance to eat until 10:30am which was amazing since we wanted to sleep a little bit longer.
