The lobby and communal areas are stylish, welcoming, and set a positive tone upon arrival. 🏨 Accommodation: The suite was spacious, well-equipped, and comfortable for rest and relaxation. However, I encountered a few cleanliness issues that affected my overall experience: Cobwebs on the sliding door, which made the space feel neglected. Stained bedsheets, which were disappointing and did not meet expected cleanliness standards. These issues suggest that the hotel could benefit from improved attention to detail and housekeeping standards. 📍 Location: While the hotel is centrally located, it is next to an abandoned mall, which creates an unwelcoming, deserted vibe—particularly at night. This choice of location takes away from the convenience and appeal of staying here. 💪 Fitness & Facilities: While the hotel lacks a pool, it does have a gym that is well-maintained and offers a good way to unwind or maintain your fitness routine during your stay. This was the second time we stayed in this hotel, and the experience was always awesome. We really liked the room that we booked this time, and the vibes the view and the experience was good. Unfortunately I find the dishes during breakfast were quite bland and the choice was so limited, but we really like the relocations on the top floors, got really good views, and made the whole breakfast quite enjoyable. Regardless we will always recommend this hotel and definitely will stay here again in the future, 😁

Interesting art piece. The single bed is comfortable and well placed daily. Will definitely return on the next trip to surabaya.

The room was clean and nice, However the sustainability efforts are lacking, I didn't need my towel to be changed daily and kept it on the rack, but yet it was changed every day. Once I came back to see all the lights and air-conditioning was on, likely running all day 10 am- 7pm + when I returned The lifts are super slow and only 1 coffee machine for the whole breakfast restaurant that needed addition of water all the days I was there

This hotel is quite economic for Harris’ level. There are pool, gym, and kids playground. The room is not that spacious but very comfortable for two persons. I requested for an iron and they delivered it to my room very quickly. They could do better for the restaurant, elevator, and the toilet — no bidet shower hence a little bit struggling for kids (i had some guest with kids coming over).

The room was spacious, elegantly designed, and equipped with all modern amenities, offering a perfect blend of luxury and comfort. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the view of the city skyline from my window was breathtaking. I truly appreciated the attention to detail in the room’s setup and daily housekeeping. The facilities at the hotel are top-notch! The pool area is a beautiful oasis – a perfect place to relax. I also enjoyed the gym, which was well-equipped for a good workout. But the real highlight for me was the spa. The treatments were rejuvenating, and the environment was serene, providing the perfect escape after a busy day. Dining at Shangri-La Surabaya was an absolute delight. The breakfast buffet offered a wide selection of both local and international dishes, all prepared to perfection. Each meal was a treat for the taste buds, with attentive staff making the dining experience even more enjoyable. The hotel’s location is also convenient, close to major attractions and shopping centers, making it easy to explore Surabaya. However, the hotel itself is so luxurious that you may not even want to leave! Overall, my stay at Shangri-La Surabaya was exceptional. The combination of world-class service, luxurious accommodations, and outstanding facilities make this hotel a top choice for anyone visiting Surabaya. I highly recommend it and can't wait to return!

The location is ok. On the one side of the hotel there is a small convenient store, on the other side there is an old small shopping center (Hollowed) which comes with a few eateries. Royal Plaza has more food choices but it takes 15-18 minutes walk and you have to go around to pass the railway tracks to get there. The traffic at the railway intersection is very bad so you better to take Grab to go to Royal Plaza. The room is clean and room size is ok. The TV is good size and has good programs. There is a safe box, but no bathtub in the room I stayed. The buffet breakfast and dinner are ok. The AC at the dining area is not cold enough. The staff are friendly and helpful. The train tracks are very close to the hotel so don’t choose the rooms that face the tracks if you prefer quiet environment.

The room was very spacious with a good amount of lounging areas. The best part is the bathroom that felt so exquisite and luxurious with a beautiful large bathtub. Service was very quick when we requested for extra towels, as well as our hairdryer not working. The only thing lacking in this room is the power sockets. There is only 1 area with power sockets which is by the work desk. There are none by the beds. This was inconvenient.

Still the best. Please book the room, but don't forget if you want to book non-smoking, it's better to write it first so you get a share.
