Our stay at Imperial Palace Hotel, Sunny Beach, was far from the 5-star experience advertised. While the hotel has a grand exterior, the reality inside is completely different. Here are the main issues we encountered: Chaotic Dining Experience – Meal times were a nightmare. The buffet was overcrowded, disorganized, and constantly running out of food. The waiting time was excessive, and when you finally got your meal, it was either cold or unappetizing. The cutlery was often dirty, and to make matters worse, all drinks were served in plastic cups—completely unacceptable for a supposedly high-end hotel. Serious Cleanliness Issues – The room was in a terrible state. There was visible mould in several areas, the bed linen was old and stained, and the headboard had noticeable dirt marks. It was clear that housekeeping was either undertrained or severely understaffed, as the room felt neglected. Poorly Maintained Facilities – The air conditioning was outdated and barely worked, making the stay uncomfortable. The hotel in general felt worn down and in desperate need of maintenance. Unprofessional Management – One of the worst aspects was the attitude of the management. Instead of addressing concerns, they were unhelpful and dismissive. Any attempt to raise an issue was met with rudeness and refusal to take responsibility. Customer service was simply non-existent. Final Verdict Imperial Palace Hotel does not deserve its 5-star rating. The lack of cleanliness, poor management, and low-quality service make it feel like a 2-star hotel at best. Save your money and book elsewhere—there are far better options in Sunny Beach that actually care about their guests.
