Please avoid this hotel! I’ll be short… reception lady when we’ve checked in on 10th of August was rude and we felt her discriminatory with us as Easter Europeans ;my Master Card used in whole Germany and Austria during our holiday was rejected; we were accomodated in the historic building and it was a nightmare: rooms dirty ( we had two, one for our daughter) , the sheets were in an uncertain color , under one pillow sheet ( very large comparing with pillow sizes) we found a night butterfly dead since some time, half day we did not had hot water due to a mistake of a employee . No specialized personnel to help/solve. They tried by video call with the breakfast personnel ( one nice girl) to solve the plumbing issue.Live from under the bathroom sink… Incredible! In the room was very hot (28-30 degrees) and it was fitted just with a very noisy fan ( could not slept with this on). The room was a total kitsch with a plastic- glass bathroom in the middle of the room fitted with an oudated whirpool tube …. A decent shower ? Real challange! I will hardly consider this room a 2 stars . Forgot to mention that the paid tariff was for minimum 5 stars superior due to booking during Gaubudenvolkfest ( excellent festival!!!). For almost four hundreds euros /night ( just for our room) we paid also the hotel parking 10 euros/ day.No free coffee or free water in the rooms. Unbeliavable! And I could continue…It was the worst and most expensive accomodation in years for the ‘services’ provided. If somebody will insist to book at Villa Boutique, at least to refuse the rooms in the historical building. Maybe main building is okay… I’ m wondering what are the german standards giving 4 stars to a 2 stars ,at best, building/ hotel? Thank you all for reading!

Meine Frau und ich waren für 2 Nächte in einen der 4 Penthouse Suiten (Villa Boutique Suite). Diese befinden sich in dem neuen Anbau. Der Check in war freundlich, wir konnten sogar 2 Stunden früher einchecken und uns wurden Robe's und Slippers im Zimmer bereitgestellt. Zur Suite kann ich nur sagen das sie mega stylisch und modern ausgestattet ist. Wir hatten an beiden Tagen ca. 30 Grad Außentemperatur aber die Klimaanlage machte trotzdem einen guten Job. Schlafen war ohne schwitzen möglich. Es war übrigens auch das erste Hotel in Straubing wo wir keine Untermieter (Spinnen) in unser Suite hatten. Das war uns besonders wichtig, dafür großes Lob ans Housekeeping. Das Haus verfügt über eine eigene Tiefgarage die wir für 15 Euro die Nacht nutzen konnten. Bei den hohen Außentemperaturen war es ideal für uns. Die Lage des Hotels war für uns auch perfekt. 5 Minuten zur Innenstadt und um die Ecke befinden sich auch der Bahnhof. Für 5 Sterne reichte es aber trotzdem nicht ganz. Negativ war das der Kühlschrank in unser Suite nicht funktionierte. Er war auf Maximal eingestellt aber die Getränke waren warm. Auch die Glastüre zur Toilette war nicht ausreichend für Privatsphäre (Sehr hellhörig). Aber es konnte uns da bisher noch kein Hotel in Deutschland zufriedenstellen. Gefrühstückt haben wir nicht uns aber informiert und das Buffet angeschaut. Leider gibt es kein Rührei, nur auf Anfrage und wenn nicht zuviel los sei. Ohne Rührei ist das das für uns leider kein richtiges Frühstück. Trotzdem werden wir beim nächsten Besuch in Straubing wieder dort einchecken da es uns nach wie vor am meisten überzeugt hat
