The hotel is in a very good location, with the seaside shopping mall and aquarium nearby. The surrounding environment is also very safe. But there are mosquitoes in the room. I killed two before going to bed, but there are still mosquitoes that will disturb your sleep! The toothbrush cup broke when I picked it up to brush my teeth, and I scratched my hand. It was too late and too tired that day, so I put on a band-aid and went to bed. I checked out the next day and told the hotel front desk about these two things, but they didn't care.

We were allocated an occupied room. We checked in, a room was allocated to us, the porter and ourselves all went to the room, the porter opened the door with the key provided to us. Then BOOOM...the occupant of the room was still in the room. He was shocked and we were shocked too. It was all a shocking experience. I don't know how such an elementary mistake could've been made at a Marriot Hotel!☹️🤷🏿♂️

The location is very convenient and that's probably all. We were there during the cold, windy spring period (although gusty winds are probably quite common in this region) and couldn't sleep because of the feeling of horror and fear because of the shutters knocking terribly in the wind. A horror movie, no doubt. It is necessary to replace the balcony doors, especially considering that these are huge panoramic doors with more modern ones. The cold and knocking really prevented a good night's sleep and spoiled the impression. Also, because of them there is a draft and cold. The heating did not work: we had to turn on the air conditioner to heat. The cleaning was normal. The room was tired, the furniture was stained and painted over with paint somewhere, but it was acceptable.

We stayed for 3 nights but the housekeeper didn't seem to clean the room properly. My rubbish such as used coffee cup didn't get cleared. View is terrible as well. I got the largest room but my room faced the KPMG sign. The sign is on 24/7 and we couldn't get a proper sleep.

Hotel was lovely but the drive over, in the evening, was really sketchy and I heard after that this is common for the area. Couldn't ask for more once we were in the hotel but location-wise, with a little kid, I don't think I'd stay there again.

I'm curious why Chinese tourists don't comment on Ctrip. I stayed for four nights and would like to share with you my objective experience of staying. The room is very small. The restaurant is on the other side of the hotel, you need to pass through the Business School of the University of Cape Town, and you can see the Victoria Pier. The location is also very convenient: it is convenient for eating, shopping, and sightseeing. It feels like it is on the edge of the business district, suitable for walking and shopping.

Staff were very friendly and the location was excellent. Waited quite a while to have the room available though. Also, the pool wasn't cleaned often enough. Other than that, great stay!

Then we took the deposit bar to retrieve the deposit, saying that the envelope in which our deposit was placed was missing, and we asked him to adjust the monitoring. One of them said that they could not take money from other places, but that the person in charge of the monitoring room was not there. We have to wait for the buddy who checked out the next day to come to work to pay the deposit. We also left our contact information and said that it resolved it and called us, but we did n’t call until the next day. Fortunately, we did n’t rush to rush the plane that day. The next day we went to get the money and the little brother took it out. 1000zar returned to us. I think as a hotel, the deposit bar is the proof that you owe the customer money. No matter where you keep the deposit, it should be returned unconditionally at the first time. If you do n’t lose your envelope, do n’t dare us. Those who check in must remember to take the deposit bar, we are fortunate to save it this time, otherwise they will be hacked. As a large hotel, the quality of employees is very problematic.

We have been staying here for several years and I have to say that sadly this hotel has lost its personal connection with guests. We didn’t feel like returning guests but more like strangers and it was purely business from the hotel. We have such wonderful memories here sadly clouded by new staff who have no idea how to connect.

The parking lot is large, the breakfast is very rich, and the seabirds dance a lot in the setting sun. It is recommended to get up early in the morning and run, and take a walk in the evening to see the sunset. Windy seaside is not suitable for swimming, and it is not suitable for children to play with sand.
