TTamuOverall, average hotel. I was disappointed and wouldn’t stay here again.
Room: stayed 5 nights. The room has a mold smell upon entering that persisted even with the bathroom door closed. The toilet also flushed very slow and sometimes required 2 flushes. Room was spacious, and otherwise quite clean and comfortable. Quite dated and furniture had lots of dings/scratches which doesn’t really matter.
Staff: I always try to be friendly to service workers because I know their work is hard. The staff I encountered seemed grossly disinterested. On the day of check in, I asked for some water (as I had to wait a few hours till check in), and was asked to pay 65 php for a bottle, but I witnessed another guest receive one for free. Not sure what happened. Also had some communication issues regarding laundry that I had done with the hotel. Perhaps the staff is overworked.. I didn’t experience the friendliness that other reviewers speak of.
I do want to shout out Mou, the activities/tour coordinator! She was very friendly, and helpful in planning my activities. She helped address an issue I encountered with my tour very promptly and efficiently. Thank you Mou!
Also thank you to the security guards who helped me call tricycles!
I wouldn’t stay here again, nor would I recommend anyone to stay here.
Suggestions: I think communication needs to be improved. If a staff member is busy, it is OK for them to let the guest know that it will be a moment. Would also recommend addressing the mold smell in room 320.

TTamuI booked this hotel because I had booked late and there weren’t many left! The hotel is situated out of town so it is very quiet. There are tricycles available just outside to take you down to the town. The breakfast is limited but very pleasant. The room itself was clean and the shower was great which is what I wanted after being out in the sea everyday! The internet at the hotel is reasonable. After reading reviews of no WiFi in the rooms, I was prepared to be off line but this wasn’t the case. The hotel only provide breakfast but the Tag resort opposite accepts walk ins to the restaurant and bar so you do not need to go down to town if you don’t want to. Overall I had a good experience here and would recommend it if you want a reasonably priced room away from the busy town

I had a wonderful stay at MO2 Lagoon Coron! The food was absolutely delicious — every meal was a treat. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, always ready to help with a smile. The amenities were top-notch, and the whole place had a peaceful, relaxing vibe that made it easy to unwind.
One highlight was when my phone accidentally got soaked — I asked the staff if they had rice to help dry it out, and they immediately gave me some without hesitation. That small act of kindness really made a difference and showed how attentive and helpful they are. Highly recommended if you're looking for a chill, worry-free getaway in Coron!

SSolo traveller stayed in November 2025Hotel bit tired and definitely lot more attention needs to be paid to the housekeeping,cleanliness and maintanance of existing facilities.Some rooms had ants in the bathroom. Swimming pool has no lounger beds only some flat benches which are not the most comfortable if you want to lie down. Although staff was lovely and helpful, will advise and get you a tricycle around town or van to the airport at your request. Location was good close to main street so easy to get some food or organise trips or get a massage in town. Coron max 2 nights 3 days unless you are diving as not much to do there. Breakfast very basic but eatable, restaurant upstairs with some food options if you can't be bothered to go out to eat.
