We noticed that this happens when everyone is done with their outdoor activities, and everyone is back in their rooms to wash themselves. Lovely rooftop setting for the evening and sunset , and good food available for order. We loved the sunrise view and balcony the most!"

"The hotel has a very convenient location, and the front desk staff were extremely friendly and helpful throughout our stay. There were just a few small issues. After coming back from swimming, we wanted to take a shower but there was no water, so we had to wait about one hour, which was a bit inconvenient. On our last day, we also found a big cockroach in the room, which was unpleasant. Additionally, if you need items such as a toothbrush or soap, you have to request them at the reception. Overall, the stay was good. The food was nice as well, and you choose your meals from the previous day, which worked fine for us."

"We arrived at our hotel around 6pm, which is 4hrs past the check in time and our room wasn’t ready. We were offered a complimentary arrival drink at bar, which we then had to pay for. On arrival we were informed that construction is undergoing each day, and our rooms will only be cleaned every two days. The construction started at 10am and finished after 6-7pm daily. We discovered that our tv remote didn’t work, which meant we couldn’t use the tv until next day, when it was replaced we still couldn’t use tv until third day when the wifi was stable. The staff didn’t turn on the hot water system, which wasn’t too bad as due to the heat of the day. We eventually worked out ourselves how to turn it on the next day. Sink in bathroom was wobbly, and toilet holder was loose, resulting in toilet paper constantly dropping. There was an insect growing in the shower in the tags of hot water system. On the third day, we asked to have our room cleaned and fresh towels, which they did, but we didn’t receive fresh water, all water containers remained empty. Shampoo container empty entire time. The hotel does have security at night time which is reassuring. You can book tours from reception. The construction works were noisy and workers played loud music during the day. Luckily that only went on between 10am & 7pm each day. Rooms were noisy with dogs barking from neighbouring properties. On the plus side, the fridge is exceptional, it kept all our drinks icy cold. We ordered our breakfast early prior to a tour, explained that we needed it by a particular time. It took over 30 mins for breakfast to be cooked, we were late for our pick up. On checkout we were charged 400 pesos for towel hire, we didn’t realise at time of check in it’s an additional daily charge."

They were professional and quick to resolve issues. The room is small but fine for being out most of the day. The only issue we had was there was no toilet seat which seemed unusual. They said they’d fix once we left so can only hope this is an unusual one off."

"This hotel, on paper, is lovely. I have been traveling through the Philipines for a few weeks now, and this is the first one I booked for a more ‘premium’ stay. Relaxing after a long 6 days hopping around diving and things. When I arrived it was nice! A good lobby, friendly doorman who helped with my bags. The floor staff were always great. The reception staff were rude and not helpful and genuinely seemed to verge on incompetent. Constantly asking someone every question (even simple ones, what time is gym open) I asked on a radio. I guess there was a supervisor somewhere who knew things were going on. The possitive - - Great pool (s)! - Lovely relaxing cafe with cheap, great quality food. - Friendly staff wandering the halls (house keeping and attendants I guess) - always smiling and saying hello. The negative - - Rude staff at reception. - The room was stale. Many reviews mention this, but I put it down to the damp Philippine climate and maybe people hadnt experienced it before. I was wrong. It’s rotten. They know it and try mask the smell with cheap air fresheners everywhere. Not good. - the public areas desperately need freshening. The dirty elevator, the doors to rooms, the way the halls are totally blocked by cleaning materials. - the bathroom had so much mould life. - I probably need a tetanus shot after touching the ‘gym equipment’ - dirty bedding (full credit - they appologised, send house keeping, they changed it - to a somehow dirtier sheet). Bottom line. I checked out and moved to another resort near by. Hoping it’s better. Book with caution! It’s cheaper than the other ‘high end’ for a reason."
