"This overwater bungalow was incredibly comfortable and beautiful, located about a 15 to 20-minute boat ride from Semporna Port. It's an all-inclusive resort, with breakfast and dinner thoughtfully arranged. We missed lunch due to island hopping tours, but there was afternoon tea and snacks available, which was perfect after snorkeling. Dinner menus changed daily and were both delicious and plentiful. Although you could pay extra for additional seafood, the provided meals were excellent on their own. The first night featured steamed seafood, the second was a seafood hotpot, and the third was a barbecue. The hotel also organized daily snorkeling trips to fantastic spots. Our whole family had a truly wonderful vacation."

"Overall Experience: This island is perfect for lounging, perfect for couples and families. The beach is soft, the snorkeling is fantastic, and the staff are friendly! Facilities: The Sunset Deluxe Villa is close to the beach, making it easy to walk there. You can even enjoy the view from your bed, but for me, a single night is enough. The wooden structure creaks when you walk, and the facilities at the Sunset Deluxe Villa are a bit dated. We also stayed in an Ocean View Suite, which was quite nice. We didn't get a good room, but the amenities were decent, the bedding was comfortable, and it was about a 5-minute walk from the lobby. Free shuttles can be booked. We recommend the Ocean View Suite! Cleanliness: Filipino cleaners were everywhere, but I recommend regularly clearing the beach weeds for a better feel! Restaurants: There are two restaurants on the island, a Filipino restaurant and a fusion restaurant. While a bit pricey, the overall presentation, flavors, and service are excellent. If you're on a budget, order the Yangzhou fried rice; it's generous and tasty. The breakfast is more Filipino-style, so-so, and lacks fresh fruits and vegetables. Airport Transfers (Roundtrip): Remember to book your transfer at least three days in advance!"

"Please note most double superior rooms do not have a window. This should be advertised as the feeling is like being in a cage, horrible. We complaint and finally they gave us another room with a balcony so much better however the toilet was blocked. They fixed it but overall the experience was not great. Breakfast is just ok. The staff is nice though and they try to help."

"This is my third time at Malapascua. It faces the ocean, so I'm hoping for a great view. However, the sandy road to and from the port makes it difficult to roll luggage. I wish they'd offer a cargo shuttle, even if it cost extra. The bathroom in my room was leaking, and even though I complained to reception, they couldn't fix it. I had no choice but to put up with it for three nights, laying down a used bath towel. Laundry service is 500 pesos for 2.5kg, almost double the price of other resorts."

"The transportation company sponsored by the resort from airport to resort was BAD - book airport transportation to resort once you land and not with resort sponsored company. There is a Starbucks coffee on property, limited menu. Staff does not make the stay experience more enjoyable. The breakfast is average at best - Somewhat boring and limited selection. No bacon, poor sausage taste, no cheese or sliced meats as an option like so many other resorts/hotels. Coffee is super basic. Main dishes are limited. Resort pool is nothing unique and boring. Pool waitstaff not friendly. The food prices are over priced for how basic the food is. The pool chairs are nice. There are no resort activities, especially for little kids."

"Spacious and clean room with good air conditioning. The staff were very friendly and helpful with everything we needed. The location, set back from the main street, is perfect for avoiding noise and traffic, though the uphill walk can be a bit tiring. The only real issue was the stairs."
