We absolutely loved our stay at Ship Inn Stanley. Kerry and Alastair have thought of everything possible to make you feel welcome, comfortable and well looked after. We stayed in the Greenhills suite, which was beautiful, with so many lovely details. We also loved exploring all the extras available – the beautiful guest lounge where we enjoyed a complimentary glass of muscat one night, and a walk around the incredible gardens. The breakfast was delicious and the fresh bread every day was so good, we also appreciated having a coffee machine and fresh milk every day. The bed was very comfortable and the location was so handy – everything we wanted was within walking distance. It was such an enjoyable stay and really made our trip to Stanley very memorable.

The Ship Inn at Stanley is probably the most beautifully appointed and well thought out accommodation I've ever stayed in. Everything from the views to the breakfast was superb. The welcoming guest area was an added bonus and the gardens are a treat for the eye. Our whole stay at the Ship Inn was a delight and I really appreciated all the historical notes that were displayed around our room and the whole Inn.

This place is unbelievable. Beautifully appointed, rooms are just amazing, and community areas are equally impressive. We’ve done a lot of travel around the world, and stayed in some beautiful accommodation. This place is the best. For comfort, facilities, gardens, and all round quality, it’s very hard to beat. We absolutely love it here and almost have to force ourselves to go out exploring the area, there’s so much to see in this building and surrounds. Only disappointment is that we will have to leave…..

Great location with an excellent room full of nice touches and a yummy breakfast. Hosts Kerry and Alister are on site and gave us great advice on stays as we had to cancel a location due to the fires. Their recommendations for our meals at night were spot on.

Fantastic accommodation in the heart of Stanley. We were able to walk around the town, to the Nut, to Herseys - everywhere. We stayed in Roaring Toms which is a beautiful two bedroom apartment with full kitchen, dining area and lounge and two private courtyards. The apartment was spotless - cleaned to a very high standard. The guest lounge is beautiful - although we didn’t need to use it as we had our own space. I would definitely stay there again if I’m back in Tasmania.

One of the most amazing places we have stayed. Rooms were so cosy and comfortable and the common grounds and communal lounge room were such an amazing place to relax. Would highly recommend and would stay again. Great for couples on a romantic holiday!

Stayed at the Ship Inn for 2 nights and it absolutely deserves a five star rating. Exceptional decor, attention to detail, location and amenities make this property a must stay if visiting Stanley. The Ship Inn enables you to feel immersed in the rich history that makes Stanley such an amazing place to visit. We will be returning for another stay.

We absolutely loved this quirky and delightful hotel. We stayed one night in Roaring Tom’s and wished we had longer! The apartment is so well put together with everything you would need, we appreciated self check in and breakfast provisions. Although we didn’t make use of the guest lounge we did have a look at would have happily spent an afternoon reading books in there - and inclusions like the gym, bikes, amazingly manicured gardens and laundry are all great. Stanley itself is a wonderful little town that’s well worth a visit. Great stay and looking forward to our return visit.
