Excellent hotel in Split, Croatia. Probably the best! First, the location of the Ambassador is perfect. It's within walking distance to the old town, the ferry, and most tour gathering points and many top rated restaurants. It's also right next to the ocean and just outside the old town, which means it's accessible by car. If you book a hotel inside the old town, cars can't get in and you have to drag your own luggage to the hotel from where cars drop you off. But the Ambassador has the best of both worlds, accessible by car and a short walk to everything. In addition to the best location, the hotel is also very clean, modern and yet not cheap looking. Facilities look very new and well maintained. Staff was also very friendly and responsive. We booked this hotel because it was top rated, and even with our high expectations, we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of hardware, service and our overall experience. I highly recommend this hotel, and will certainly book it again next time we are in Split.
