DDDY945Just four words, Yunhuan Secret Realm. The service guy is very enthusiastic and replies on WeChat in a timely manner. He will pick you up at the shuttle bus station and wait for you to walk along the path to the homestay next to the terraced fields. I love it so much. It is a paradise on earth. The mountains, terraced fields, and sea of clouds are right in front of you. You can only experience it by driving over mountains and ridges.
Watching the clouds rise in the early morning, staying in the homestay is very enjoyable, and the beauty of nature is unobstructed.
The dishes made by the chef are delicious, all of which are local ingredients and are particularly fragrant. Some people say that the breakfast is not rich enough, but I think it is already very good. The rice noodles with local yellow beef or pork cubes are delicious, and the freshly ground coffee is also very delicious. After all, this is in the mountains, and transportation is very inconvenient.
After breakfast, I went to catch rice field fish. In the afternoon, I took a battery car to visit the nearby Dong village. I like the countryside and the original ecological experience.

After going around the mountain for eighteen bends, we finally arrived. It was night when we arrived and we were unfamiliar with the place, so we were very nervous.
We were the only family staying there that day, and I guess most of the business was taken away by the homestays at the entrance of Jiabang Terraces.
The room we booked did not include breakfast. We arrived after 9pm and there was no dinner, so we had to try our luck at the shop next door. Fortunately, the kind lady boss shared food with us.
The facilities in the house are relatively simple. There is no toilet, but there is a squatting toilet in the shower area. Basic toiletries and slippers are provided. The bed is relatively hard and has an electric blanket. The nights at the end of March are still very cold.
In the morning, you will be woken up by the crowing of chickens outside the house, and experience the rural life. I discussed with the boss lady in the morning and got a bowl of noodles. The fried egg was especially delicious!
We started visiting the terraced fields in the morning. After going up the stairs opposite the hotel and turning right, there was an observation deck. We could visit several major terraced fields along the way, which was very convenient.

However, for the sake of convenience, I stayed one night in the county first. The next day I took a taxi to Basha to watch the show. After it was over, I went to the village and went straight to this B&B. I didn’t actually book a room that day. I said hello at the door and asked if I could come in and have a look. The boss was very enthusiastic. He greeted us, made us tea, kept chatting, and decided to stay here that day, because we were free to do whatever we wanted during the entire trip. We didn't have to go to any scenic spots, and we could go wherever we wanted to go that day. But we got along very well with the boss, and even stayed there for three days. The boss took us around for a walk and it was a lot of fun. You really have to believe in fate. That night, by chance, two travelers came over who had not booked a room before. So we hit it off and the next day we went with the boss to visit three or four villages, and finally stayed at Jiabang Rice Terraces. One night. This is a meaningful and interesting trip, not a tourist. Emphasize that the boss has a particularly interesting soul, interesting, humorous, and artistic. I used to think that traveling meant traveling to more places. This trip made me think that the meaning of traveling actually lies in the scenery, interesting people and their stories you meet along the way. The scenery of the B&B is very beautiful. It is very suitable for people like us who stay in big cities for a long time. It is very healing.

SScarletTheWandererThis is an incredible spot to stay! We were amazed by the location and the staff at this gorgeous hotel nestled in the hills. The rooms were incredible, clean and spacious. Our cabin overlooked the valley and felt like we were just inside a forest. The bathrooms as beautiful with a huge bathtub and wonderful string shower. The food here is incredible and fresh and the dining room overlooks a lovely valley that is perfect to watch the sun go down. It’s very close to all the walking trails and there are very few tourists here even in the height of the season. It’s a hidden gem!
Would definitely recommend coming here if you are looking for a great experience! The staff went over and above to make our stay incredible. Will visit again!

For children in the north, the terraced fields in the valley coupled with the comfortable hotel environment are so amazing and artistic. Lotus, a kitten with a glance of ten thousand years, is tired of the fast pace of Beijing. Here, he is instantly healed by the slow pace of life. The hotel owner is very funny. He talks one joke after another, and I can't even follow him. I can't stop laughing. The living room of the hotel has many antiques and is very elegant. There are also many books, including the Cambridge Complete History of China, and even ”Hongye”! I also went to a nearby market during the day and ate some super delicious honey. Green-billed ducks and fish are also fun. Go to the hotel in the evening, boil water with firewood, soak your feet in a Yao bath, look at the valley in the distance, and listen to the chirping of insects and birds. I really want to have the opportunity to come again. 😭

There are terraces below and to the right of the inn, which are very spectacular. The boss and his family are very welcoming. The room is clean and hygienic. The wooden house has a faint pine scent, which is very comfortable. The dishes cooked by the boss are delicious, the charges are reasonable, the personality is high, and people are thrifty. The inn has vegetables, melons and rice grown with mountain spring water. My picky eater can eat two bowls of rice in one meal. On the return trip, we bought dozens of kilograms of rice to take back to Guangdong to eat. All in all, the trip to Jiabang Rice Terraces was perfect. I would recommend it to friends for food and accommodation.
Note: The local chili peppers are spicy and delicious. Friends who don’t like spicy food or eat a little spicy food must make it clear in advance. If you don’t pay attention to it, you will eat more bowls of rice😀😀😀

FFed2Very nice stay for a quick 1 night stopover.
The property is right by the train station, which is what I was looking for to be able to catch an early morning train.
In terms of location it really depends what you are looking for, surely there's not much to do around and it felt like being in a very remote authentic village, so it's a nice experience but if you have a car it's definitely a plus.
The owner doesn't speak English but he's been very nice and accommodating.
The room is simple with squat toilet but it has everything and it's absolutely clean and comfortable.
