The Hotel was clean, unfortunately my room was very noisy as it was off the kitchen all I could hear was banging doors all morning, people talking & stomping around, there is also construction going on in neighbouring buildings. my bed was uncomfortable I could feel the springs in my back so had a pretty terrible sleep, this place needs some updating & modernising. The location was great walking distance to everything.

Facing the sea, the view is amazing. The room is clean and the bedding is clean. The only downside is that there are always all kinds of noises in the middle of the night. Sometimes it is very loud and wakes people up. However, the hotel is in a good location and convenient for transportation.

Facing the sea, the sea view is very beautiful. It's just that I was bitten by insects when I was sleeping and it was very itchy. The quilt might not be clean. The water heater was a bit noisy when I was sleeping. It was very convenient to the scenic spots, but there were not many places to eat around.

The room is quite old, no air conditioning, priced at 30Euro, but it is considered ok at this price.

🇬🇧 :This hotel has very high opportunities in terms of location and view, but upon my arrival the room is small and the water that comes out of the tap is the color of rust (they told me that if I had kept the tap open for a while of time the color would have changed), I am perplexed and ask to be given the opportunity to change it. After the request I was told that it is necessary to add money from €50 to €30 and although I am reluctant I accept, but it's not over...the day is hot and the fridge in the room to keep drinks cool is not present, there is a fridge to be used in common on the top floor, another perplexity. Another flaw, see The sun rises, the view is beautiful but the curtains are not opaque and the light invades the room and the sounds also due to the not exactly insulating windows, not to mention the bedspread with absurd yellow stains that I removed from above the bed. A price that was absolutely inadequate for the characteristics of the room which, to be honest, was still clean. Very good hotel. I think I reserveited it with good price. I' ve got discount in 2 restaurnat as a guest of this hotel. The beds are comforttable and soft. Coffie in coffiemaker is very good. The guy from recepcion is plesant. The cleaning crew cleans very nicely. But I have some reservations about the bathroom. What's behind the bathroom window?

The location is excellent, but the room we got had a window with a view of a wall just one meter away. We didn't have mobile signal in the room, and there was no internet for two day. Everything else was more or less acceptable. ............................

The worst Hotel. I paid 35 euros more because they didn't tell me the check out time. The service was poor, the window faced a wall and the wifi didn't work. The only positive thing is the location but otherwise I absolutely don't recommend it.

Hotel has excellent location but no management. The 'manager' is always smoking outside the entrance of the hotel. She disregards guests waiting to be served at the front desk whilst on her smoking breaks. I had to leave cause taxi was waiting and when I told her outside, she carried on smoking and shrugged her shoulders!

The location boasted proximity to the coast, shops, and restaurants. However, the room itself presented numerous issues: 1. Despite attempts to invite natural light, the room remained excessively dark due to taped or covered windows, offering only a shaft-view. This created a nearly pitch-black atmosphere, accompanied by disruptive sounds such as water dripping from the air conditioning unit or clicking noises. 2. Persistent clicking noises persisted both with the window open and closed, significantly disrupting sleep. 3. The room did not align with the amenities depicted in online photos, such as a missing table and chairs, leading to a sense of false advertising. Additionally, there was no mention of the shaft-view or the lack of natural light. 4. Cleanliness was lacking, with visible stains on the sink and bathroom wall, leaving an unpleasant odor. 5. Despite promises of Wi-Fi, it only functioned on the first day, causing inconvenience despite efforts by the receptionist to rectify the issue. 6. A displeasing odor upon entry suggested inadequate ventilation or cleanliness standards. 7. The room featured worn-down furnishings, reflecting a lack of investment in maintaining a comfortable environment, contributing to an overall disappointing and depressing ambiance. 8. Difficulty in regulating the water temperature in the shower added further discomfort, swinging between cold and scalding hot. 9. The lack of a duvet and provision of only a thin sheet offered inadequate protection during winter months. 10. Requests to change rooms proved futile, as alternatives offered were disappointingly similar, indicating persistent issues with standard accommodations. 11. The hotel staff's refusal to provide a stay invoice and redirecting responsibility to the booking platform added unnecessary frustration, reflecting a disappointing level of customer service. Ultimately, the hotel's refusal to provide compensation or accept responsibility led to the guest checking out early, resulting in the loss of money and the need to book alternative accommodations.

A great place to stay. Perfect location next to all amenities. Bus stop right outside. Clean, nice and friendly staff. The weather bright, warm and sunshine. Our seaview balcony was breathtaking. Special thanks to Mr. Cliff and his team. See you soon if not sooner.

THIS was a hard review to write because Sliema Chalet Hotel has so much going for it yet sometimes shot itself in the foot. Top of the list of good things has to be the reception staff who were unswervingly friendly, helpful and caring throughout my entire stay. I cannot praise them enough. Still dealing with pluses, the hotel is in a perfect position for sightseeing. It is right on the Tower Road promenade in Sliema and has bus stops within 50m to take you either up the coast from the hotel side or into Sliema and the capital, Valletta, from the promenade side. A ten-minute walk will, take you into Sliema from where the ferry leaves for Valetta, a seven minute trip which also gives good views of the city from the sea. The promenade bus stop is also a departure point for two crucial transport tours, the North and South hop-on hop-off buses where you pay around E20 for routes with numerous attractions on them where you can get off, visit, and then reboard the next tour bus coming along to move forward to the next place you want to see. So the Sliema Chalet Hotel is hard to beat for location. Then we come to to facilities. Breakfast is not provided at the hotel but they have recently started a deal for guests who use the very good Masons Bistro on the promenade about 50m past the bus stop. Food there is very good and I ate there several times including numerous breakfasts. Inside the hotel there are both stairs and a lift as well as first floor toilets, helpful for those staying on higher floors who don't want to trek back to their rooms. My room itself on the seventh floor was very clean and came complete with free shower gels and soaps and fresh towels. There was also a television and several power points to recharge phones and camera batteries or to shave. Be aware you need square three-pin plugs. Devices with round two-pin plugs will need an adaptor. The bed was very comfortable, bed linen was immaculate and there were bedside lights within easy reach as well as a bedside wall table to place water, books and watches on. Unfortunately we then start to move into some negative comments. My room was next to a communal kitchen area for guests to use. A number of guests staying at the same time as me must have been illiterate, selfish or both because they paid absolutely no attention to a prominent sign saying the kitchen was only to be used up until midnight. Thin walls meant I was woken by people clattering about with plates or starting kettles at 1am and even 4.30am, definitely not something you want when trying to sleep and if I came again I would try and stay in a room on a lower floor. I also received a crash course from one staff member in how to turn the water off in my room after my bathroom water heater developed a loud wheezing noise every 15 seconds. It did ensure silence, but the fault was still there days later when I left. Weather wasn't the greatest during my stay but the window in my room, which I couldn't open, didn't offer dramatic

This place sucks. Seriously avoid at all cost. The rooms are not clean at all, the beds are hard as bricks. When my friend sat down on the bed it broke (he is 14) and now he has to pay 250 euros for a bed that is no longer even broken. This far me and my friends experience has been terrible. We can’t sleep, this room has (as far as I have tested) no warm water. So showering is a pain in the ass.

The worst place. The room didnt look like when booked, the balcony was not even a balcony like the pictures. You have to pay 10 Euros(!!) to get the control to the tv and the service is passive aggressive
