Skiathos Palace Hotel

這個酒店非常不錯！ 很滿意！

This is never a 5* Hotel Upgraded room before arriving to a room with a sea view ,well we could see the sea through all the trees ,but never worth the extra money , Right arrived at the Hotel May 25/2025,first impressions were it was clean and tidy with efficient staff,was taken to the room which was spacious and spotless but very disappointing with the ‘sea view’ what a joke , The Hotel has 6 floors with no lifts ,so if you have a disability it’s a definite no no ,the pool is small but nice but not enough sun beds for the amount of people , The Breakfast was very good with plenty of choices hot or cold ,lunch time at the Hotel is also very good and to be honest not expensive unlike the drinks which are double the price which you could pay down at the harbour ,saying that 1 meal at lunch time is plenty to share for 2 people , Getting to the beach is easy on a free shuttle bus but if walking it’s a downhill walk down a steep decline ,if walking back it’s tough as loads of steps and rough terrain,the beach is beautiful with clean sand and **** free sea. Plus side a free shuttle bus also takes you to the harbour (20mins) and also brings you back (8.30pm last one back) or the buses run every 15 mins all day until the early hours in the morning at 3 euros per person both ways Lastly you will get charged for the Hotel Greek tax €15 per night per room Ie €105 per week or €210 per fortnight , Oh also there are no nearby bars or restaurants Nr the Hotel but bus stop 16 has plenty and loads in the lovely town of Skiathos with its narrow streets with shops ,bars and restaurants, Would I go back to the Palce definitely not but Skiathos Town it’s a Deinate yes

We have stayed many times at Skiathos Palace and it never disappoints. A very warm welcome on arrival - excellent service throughout, and comfortable accommodation. On arrival, the porters are ready to assist with taking your luggage to your room. They are equally ready to assist with luggage on departure. The reception staff are very warm, helpful and efficient. Our rooms have always been cleaned daily to a high standard, and towels and bathroom essentials replaced daily. The lounge bar staff, pool bar staff and restaurant staff give an excellent service. To go into town, you can take a taxi, the local bus, or you can book a (free) seat on the Hotel Bus at the hotel reception. We are returning again next year.

The staff were friendly and had staff waiting to show us to our room as soon as we checked in. I would highly recommend paying the extra and having a koukinaries beach view room as the views are stunning. The food is alright- it does the job. They don’t provide water at breakfast or dinner so if you don’t bring your own (little shop down beside koukinaries beach sells 1.5L water for 1 euro ) then the hotel charges you 3 euros for a bottle. This does add up! The location is perfect in my opinion; right next to bus stop 22, if you cross the main road there is a small shortcut path which takes you to the beach and the hotel provides free shuttle busses to and from skiathos town (11:30+12:30 and 6:30/7:30/8:30 , and you can BOOK a return to the hotel from either 6-8:30 after 9pm the evening before) . The hotel is built into the mountian and there is a steep set of stairs which you can take up instead of climbing the road up to the hotel. This only takes a few minutes and isn’t as bad as people make out to be. If you go in peak months be aware there’s not a large amount of sunbeds and whilst there’s no queue to reserve any, id recommend bringing your towels with you and placing them on before you go for breakfast. Lastly, as it’s next to the sea it does mean that there is more wind and it gets a bit colder then in the town, so bring a jacket for the evening! Overall highly recommend this hotel

When a hotel calls itself a Palace it needs to live up to its name. We were expecting to find an elegant hotel with welcoming staff and rooms with a little something special. Instead we found poor and unfriendly service throughout the hotel and the decor is very gloomy. The transfer bus drops you half way up the hill in a carpark and you then have to drag your bags up the hill- there are no staff to help. The lobby is dark and uninviting- normally when you arrive in a 4star hotel you are greeted with a warm welcome and sometimes offered a drink - here it was on a par with check in at the airport. There are no lifts in the hotel so if you are unable to navigate lots of steps this is not the place for you. The rooms are gloomy- you have to have the light on all day- there is a kettle but no coffee or tea- the hairdryer should be fixed to the wall but it hasn’t been- lots of single use plastic products in the bathroom which is disappointing to see. Our room has 2 single beds- we are a married couple so it would have been more appropriate if we had been asked. The bar area is very outdated and once again very gloomy. There are not enough staff so you wait a long time to be served. The bar staff were friendly but none of the other staff have been. There is a shuttle bus to the beach which is rusty and very old but does the job. We walked down the steps to the road and would not advise it as there is no handrail - the steps are steep and uneven and it would be very easy to have a fall. If you go into town get a taxi back-it is the same price as the bus and will bring you all the way up the hill. Very disappointing stay.

My daughter and i visited late May 2025. A great hotel in a fabulous position. Pros- Beautiful views, gorgeous rooms, comfy beds, friendly attentive staff, lovely food, great bbq night with music, special mention to the brilliant breakfast staff especially George (omelette with a friendly chat and snile 😃 ) , and the beautiful ladies Nicole and Anastasia!! Only negative was the securing of sunbeds but as we headed to the super beaches this wasn't a major problem.
